PS2 Emulation

It has been awhile since I have tired out some PlayStation 2 emulation, over a year ago PCSX2 emulator.  Used it a few times but got away from it.  Well a few days ago watched the ETA Prime video, > here.  It shows off an update version of this emulator.  They over hauled the the look and a lot of features.  The only thing is, as of typing this (May 24, 2022) it’s not a stable release yet.  It is what they call Nightly Builds.  Theses are builds that are still in development.  Thinking I am going to try play some more of my old PS2 games again.

State Of Play – June 2022

It has been a few months since Sony has had a State of Play.  Well on June 2, 2022 they have one lined up.  It will be about 30 minutes.  They didn’t say much in there announcement blog post > here.  Just it will have updates from the world of PlayStation.  All so going to talk about PlayStation VR2.  Am interested to see what they show.   Many be this time there will some games I would like.

Days Of Play 2022

Forgot to talking about this.  A few days ago (May 25, 2022) the PlayStation Day of Play started.   They are having a sale in the PS Store as well as their mech store.  In past years other retailers would get into as well.  Not sure if that is happing.  The next time I am out will take a look around Walmart.  Would really like to the a new controller.  Don’t really want to play full price.  You can see the blog post > here.  The event ends on June 8, 2022.

Elegoo Neptune 2

This coming June (2022) have had my Elegoo Neptune 2 FDM 3D Printer for a year.  While I haven’t printed much in the past few weeks.  Still very happy with it.  Talking about is because you can’t buy this model any more.  A little while after it was out they put an upgraded model, Neptune 2S.  This is the same with improvements.  A few days ago seem some 3D printing YouTuber’s have been teasing a new model, Neptune 3.  As of typing this (May 23, 2022) there is no info out yet.  Will be keeping my eye on it.  Want to see what the differences are.

[Update]  They put out info on the Neptune 3.  You can see it  > here.  Looks like they did lot of improvements.  Easy to assemble and has auto bed leveling.  At the time of this typed update (May 28, 2020.  They are asking $267.13 Canadian.  That is a super good deal.

The Batman Blu-ray

On May 24, 2002 the Blu-ray for The Batman was out.  Didn’t buy a copy on that day.  Wasn’t going to make a special trip just to buy one thing.  So picked up a copy a few days later after work.  My plan is to watch it on the weekend.  Need to set a good chuck of time to watch.  According the box it all most three hours long.  Then there is the special features.  Very much looking forward to seeing this.

Dusty Springfield – Son Of A Preacher Man

Once again it is musical throwback Thursday.  Am sticking with the 60’s sound again.  This time the pick is Son Of A Preacher Man by Dusty Springfield.  The song is off her 1969 album Dusty in Memphis.  Have heard this song many times in movies/TV.  A classic for sure.  You can give it a listen > here or below.

No Man’s Sky Expedition: Leviathan

Great news to share.  There is a new expedition out now (May 25, 2022) for No Man’s Sky.  This seventh one is called Leviathan.  While I haven’t tired it yet.  Have read the website.  This one will play much different than the others.  You are stuck in a time loop.  Meaning it has roguelike elements.  So when you die the loop resets.  Not sure that will work yet.  Thinking I will most likely be needing to watch some YouTube to finish this.  You can check out the trailer > here or below.

Motorcycle Inspection 2022

Now that the weather has gotten much better and have had my 2006 Yamaha XT 225 for the first ride of the year (2022).  Now I need to get it inspected.  This needs to be done every two years.  At one point in time, it was every year.  When I called the shop, was thinking  I would have to wait weeks.  Was happy to find out it wouldn’t be that bad.  They said any time this week is good.  So I book it for the Tuesday (today May 24)  because that is my day off.  However the boss changed the schedule.  So know I need to head there on my break an hope I get back in time.  [Update] got there in back to work pretty quickly.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Next Gen News

It has been known since 2020 that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is getting a next gen upgrade (PS5 and Xbox Series).   Well the other day (May 19, 2022) to mark its 7th anniversary they put out some news.  “We’re delighted to share that the Next Gen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is planned to release in Q4 2022.”    So this coming October, November or December it will be out.  If you all ready have a copy for a PS4 or XBox One and have the new systems there will a free upgrade.  Still have my day one PS4 copy.  So when I do mange to get my hands on a PS5 will be playing this game all over again.

Bob Belcher 3D Printing Figurine

It has been a long time since I took a look at the 3D file site Gambody.com.   This site sells high-end models.  From what I have read each one comes with STL’s for FDM or resign printers.  There is an awesome model on there I am super tempted to buy.  It is a Bob Belcher.  Which you can see > here.  At the time of typing this (May 17, 2022) they are asking $20.  Am a very big fan of Bob’s Burgers.  All so check wait to see the movie, which is out soon.
