Happy New Year 2021

Yet another year is coming to a close.  It has been another year of successful blogging.  Near the end of January will be the start of the 13 year for this blog.  Like everyone less in the world this year has been a crazy one.  Don’t think it will end any times soon.  That being said we must keep moving forward. All so had another good year with the YouTube channel I’d Rather Watch Paint Dry.  Going to be making some changes to that.  For the past two years have had a new video out every Sunday.  Don’t think I can keep that going.  Well not right way.  Need to build up a good list of projects and have them ready to go.  This give me a buffer to work with.  So here is to a better 2021.

Artillery Genius

Have been looking at many FDM 3D printers for the past year.  There has been two I had my eye on, the FLSUN Q5 and the Anycubic Mega Zero (or S model).  Have found  another one that I think I will be getting in the new year (when I can get a good deal on one).  It is the Artillery Genius.  Watch some videos on it.  Very simple to put together and easy to use.  Another good feature is it a lot quieter than the Mega models.  All so can use different filaments.  Received some Amazon gift cards for Christmas so thinking I will get a spool of PLA filament.  So when I do get the printer I can start right way.

GTA Online: The Cayo Perico Heist

Tried out part of the Cayo Perico Heist in Grand Theft Auto Online.   It is the new add on/DLC that can be played single player, which is nice.  First you need to go to the new nightclub that is under the casino.  The talk to a guy who tells you to buy a submarine to start this new heist.  This acts as the base of operations.  Next there is more story stuff as you head the the new location, which is an island.  This is were you will be doing the heist.  Once the story stuff is over you need to scout the island to find the items you were sent to get.  All so along the way you will mark other items you can take.  When you are done that.  You head back the the main game to start off the next part of the mission.  This is were I stopped.  Planning to play with my brother in the coming days.  So will wait to finish that with him.

Boxing Day Sale

Am planning on getting a few things during the Boxing Day sales.  Well it more like Boxing Week sales.  Am looking at getting a new headphones to be used with my computer.  Right now I have a nice Sony set. Which I have had for many years.  One of the wires become loose so the audio cuts in and out.  Want another wired set.  Seen a set on the Walmart flyer.  So going to look up some reviews.  All looking at getting some more cheap games for my black log.  Top of my list is Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

Lonely Mountains: Downhill

Have seen some video of an interesting game, Lonely Mountains: Downhill.   It has a very distinct look to it.  Very simple, but let just enough detail.  Talking about this because I got to give it a try a few days back on a friends Xbox One.  It’s one of the games on their Game Pass.  The goal of this very chill games is to make it down the mountain.  They you try aging with faster times and or less crashing to unlock more stuff.  Once you get a handle of the controls.  The game becomes very fun.  If you get a chance to try it, do so.  If it does on sale on the PlayStation Store will be getting a copy.

Merry Boxing Day 2020

I hope everyone had a fun and safe Christmas with the crazy times we are in.  The weather here was very mild.  As for the dinner, must say it turned out really well.  Cooked a turkey breast with olive oil.  It made it taste awesome.  Didn’t have homemade rolls last year.  This time managed to get some from a local bakery.  Since it is boxing day hot turkey sandwiches are one the menu tonight.

 

 

  

Merry Christmas 2020

I want to wish everyone and their families a Merry Christmas.  I hope everyone has the best they can. Even this crazy year we are,  However try your best to have some fun (without breaking the rules).  Am planning on having a great meal.  MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE.

 

 

 

Arthur’s Perfect Christmas

Have one more Christmas TV special that is a must watch, Arthur’s Perfect Christmas.  Said this last year has well, Am a bit surprised it is still on YouTube.  Most times theses are taken down.  Not sure if will get all my favourites in before it’s too late.  But will try.   You can give this a watch > here or below.

Merry Christmas Mr. Bean

Time for another must watch Christmas episodes special.  Up next is Merry Christmas Mr. Bean.  Have watched this one for many, many years on the DVD box set I have.  There have been a few versions on YouTube that were ok.  However in 2018 the official Mr. Bean YouTube channel has all the episodes.   You can give this classic a watch > here or below.

Cyberpunk 2077 Hands On

As I am typing this (December 19, 2020) have had a copy of Cyberpunk 2077 for a week.  This games has become very famous for not running well on PS4’s.  Sony even took it off their digital store.  I have played about six hours or so.  Did running into some small texter pop ins.  Then had one big glitch during a mission. One of the bad guys keep popping in and out of and elevator.  Then had it crash on a loading screen.  To me it’s no reason to overreact too.  They said there will be a patch soon.  Then a big one in January.  As I am just taking my time playing though it.

[Update.  That patch I talked about is now out.  Have it download just not gave it a try it.  Will be back with another update.]
