GTA Online: Casino

Back on July 23, 2019 Grand Theft Auto Online had it’s newest add on The Diamond Casino & Resort out.  Gave it a quick try that night.  First off am very impressed in the detail inside the casino.  There are shot machines, table games and simulated horse racing.  There is all so a big wheel you can spin once a day for free to win prizes.  The big one is a car.  Just like in a real casino.  They all so give you 1000 chips for free each day as well.  With the chips you can buy items in the casino store or you can cash them out for money.  Not sure how much time I would spend in there.  But every time I play will give the big wheel a spin.

Watchmen – Official Comic-Con Trailer

Have one more trailer to talk about that was at this years (2019) Comic-Con.  It is HBO’s Watchmen.  First blogged about this upcoming show back in May when they put the teaser trailer out.  Am a big fan of the graphic novel and the movie based off, Watchmen, is one of the best superhero movies very made.  After watching the trailer.  Which you can see > here or below.  Know the show will be really good.  Not sure the start date yet.  But it will be some time this fall.  Looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

The Walking Dead Season 10 Comic-Con Trailer

It has been tradition for many years now to show the up coming season of The Walking Dead trailer at the San Diego Comic-Con.  They did it again this year and season ten looks amazing.  Do find it hard to believe the show has been on this long.  I do hope it keeps going for many more years.  But you never know when it will end.  Just like the comic book it is based off, ended out of the blue.  While we wait for the new season to start you can see the trailer > here or below.  Season ten starts October 6, 2019.

Crash Bandicoot 2 – Cortex Strikes Back: Free Play Day – Part 1

In this weeks video for the YouTube Channel, I’d Rather Watch Paint Dry, start a new Free Play Day series.  Wanted to try something different with the Free Play Day videos. Got thinking why not play one game from start to finish and have it take place over multiple videos. One my favourites is Crash Bandicoot 2 – Cortex Strikes Back. It is prefect for this setup. Since each section is made up of five levels then a boss.  Each video will consist of that format.  Along the way will keep track of how many times I die. Humble Comic Book Bundle

Have gotten games and bought one thing from the Humble Bundle Store over the years.  There other part of their site which the started out with is the Bundle part. These bundles can be pretty much anything.  Like games, programs, books and comics.  The ideas you pay a little bit and unlock some items.  Pay even more and get more.  They recently had one that had all 12 volumes of The Boys trade paperbacks as 13 other trades.  This one had my interest because I seen the trailer for The Boys show on Amazon Video.  It looks like a crazy over the top superhero show were the superheroes are not the hero’s people think they are.  At that point didn’t know any thing about the comics.  So jumped at this bundle.  for a bit over $20.00 Canadian got all these trades digital.  Have started reading the first trade and am liking it a lot.  Thinking they might make good quick reviews for I’d Rather Watch Paint Dry,

The World Of Cyberpunk 2077 Book

One of the biggest games coming out next year is Cyberpunk 2077.  Very much can’t wait to play it.  To build even more hype, a few days back there was an announcement there is a new book on the way.  Which, “readers will learn about Cyberpunk 2077’s characters, history, cybernetics, politics, technology, and much more.”  This is books is being put out by CD Projekt RED (makers of the game) and Dark Horse.  They say it will be hardcover and 200 pages.  One thing I find odd is the book is coming out after the game.  Some time in April 2020.  It is called The World of Cyberpunk 2077.  Will be keeping my eye on this.  It might be pretty good .

P!nk – Trouble

Time again for musical throwback Thursday.  The pick this week is Trouble by P!nk.  This is off her 2003 album Try This.  While I don’t like all her songs.  She does have some really good ones.  This being one.  All so the music video stands out.  Which you can see > here or below.

The Witcher Official Teaser

When I first heard that Netflix was putting together a TV show called The Witcher.  I was interested right ways.  The show will be based off the famous books series that shares the same name The Witcher. The only thing I know about the books is the video game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.  This is one of my all time favourites. Played all the way though twice.  Last week the Comic-Con took place.  It is all ways a good time of year to fan stuff.   There is all so a lot of trailers put out.  Will be making many posts about them  This one has to be the one I share first.  Netflix put out what they are calling a official teaser.  Which you can see > here or below.  Not sure what date it will be on Netflix but they are saying fall.  So can’t wait to see this show.

Canon 75-300 mm Zoom Lens

Have had my Cannon EOS Rebel T5i for two years now.  It works great have took many pictures with and as well as all the videos for the YouTube channel, I’d Rather Watch Paint Dry.  Over the past two years have been adding things to help with take better videos.  This time around want a new lens.  Like taking pictures of birds.  The lens I have does have a nice zoom on it.  But wanted some with more.  Took a look at entry level lens what would work best for my budget and skill range.  Seen one that fit my bill, Canon 75-300 mm zoom lens.  Even better Best Buy had it on sale.  So jumped at it.  Will be back with another post once I got come practices with it.

Cold Shoe Extension Bracket

Have run into a problem I didn’t even think about.  Now that I have a Neewer NW759 field monitor.  This sits on top my camera using the cold shoe mount.  The problem is, if I need to use my RODE VideoMicro.  This needs the cold shoe mount as well.  Sure I could use the monitor not attached to the camera.  But if you want to move it, that would be a pain.  Got looking on Amazon.ca for some options.  Found some extension brackets.  Just need to find the right one for my needs.  The do have a nice two shoe mount extension bracket.  With of a nice price.  You can see it > here.  Just need tot measure to see how long I need one to be.
