Queen – Don’t Stop Me Now

For the month of January (2019) have been only using Queen songs musical throwback Thursdays.  This will be the last one.  Not sure I will will pick a different band for next month but it does sound like a good idea.  The thing there isn’t that many brands I like multiple songs from.  For this weeks pick, it’s Don’t Stop Me Now.  This is their 1978 album Jazz.  It ones of those song that get stuck in your head and the words are very easy to remember.  Give it a listen/watch > here or below.

The Umbrella Academy

There is any interesting comic book inspirited show coming to Netflix in February (2019).   It is called The Umbrella Academy.  It is based of the comic book series of the same name.  After watching the trailer > here or below.  I will be watching it for sure.  Looks really good.  The base plot is pretty cool.  Taken from Wikipedia, “On the same day in 1989, forty-three infants are inexplicably born to random, unconnected women who showed no signs of pregnancy the day before. Seven are adopted by Sir Reginald Hargreeves, a billionaire industrialist, who creates The Umbrella Academy and prepares his “children” to save the world. But not everything went according to plan. In their teenage years, the family fractured and the team disbanded. Now, the six surviving thirty-something members reunite upon the news of Hargreeves’ passing. Luther, Diego, Allison, Klaus, Vanya and Number Five work together to solve a mystery surrounding their father’s death. But the estranged family once again begins to come apart due to their divergent personalities and abilities, not to mention the imminent threat of a global apocalypse.”

It will be on Netflix February 15, 2019.  Will be adding it to my list.  Will have to check out the comics is based on as well.

twenty one pilots: Stressed Out

Know I’m old and out of touch.  But for some reason never heard this song, Stressed Out, until a few days ago.  It has been on YouTube since 2015 and have 1 and half Billion views.  It is from the group twenty one pilots. The song is off their album Blurryface.  Really like this song a lot.  Has been stuck in my head for days now.  If you are like me and never heard it.  Give it a listen.  Think everyone can relate to it.  You can do so > here or below.

Upcoming Games

It is a new year.  Which means more new games to look forward to.  Have blog about some of them all ready.  Have a big back log.  Looks like I will be adding more to it.   Some of these games will be out very soon.  While others may be this year.  Said this is bunch of times.  So may games so little time.  Below is a list of games I want to get.

Online T-shirt Selling

There is a bunch of YouTube channels I watch have a link under their videos that link to sell their shirts and other things.  Think this is very cool if you are a fan they have something to buy.  They all link to the website Teespring.com.  This online services.  Lets you upload your designs so they can be add to any item then have.  Then you can see these items.  You get to set the price.  When someone buys one they print it off and send it out.  They makes some money and you make some.  This think this is all way very cool.  The thing is the price.  It seems like a lot.  It is a US site but they do ship to Canada.  The item show in Canadian money.  The shirts I looked at are $30.00 or more.  Which is a bit much.  But if you are a fan.  Looked at it closer and seen that shipping on one times is $12.00.  Way too much.

The reason I am talking about this is because I would like to so that for my channel, I’d Rather Watch Paint Dry.  Teespring is cool but got thinking there has to be a Canadian company that does the same thing.  Turns out there is.  It’s called Spreadshirt.ca.  Going to look into it more.  If I like what I seen will get some merch made.  It might help grow the channel.  Will be back with an update.

The Division 2 Trailer

Am very much looking forward to the The Division 2.  The first is an awesome game.  There is a some new info to share since the game will be out in about two months. They put out some videos.  Which you can see the trailer > here or below.   Didn’t really like the dark zone stuff in the first game.  Only gave it a try a few times.  Wasn’t very fun.  Because you petty much don’t have any change if you play solo.  It looks like they are fixing that in this new one.  They explain the changes in this video > here or below.  Will be adding this one to my list.  Set to be out March 15, 2019.

For the latest Queen musical throwback Thursday.  Want to pick one that is not heard very often.  It is Seven Seas of Rhye.  The song is off their first two albums Queen and Queen II.  The first version is much different than the one on the second album.  You can give it a listen > here of below.

My Time At Portia

Here is an up coming game I have to get, My Time At Portia.  Well it is all ready out on PC though Steam.  Watched a live stream Gamespot.com did on it.  It had me wanting to play it right way.  The game is a mix of many different things.  There is a bit of Minecraft, Harvest Moon, Dragon Quest builders and the like.  It is an action RPG with craft, fishing, farming, exploring, fighting and adventure.  From what I read it will be out some time in the spring on consoles.  Will be buying this for sure.  There is a demo for it on Steam.  Might give it a try.  Check out the launch trailer > here or below.

AVerMedia Live Gamer Portable 2 Plus Tested Again

Talking about AVerMedai Live Game Portable 2 Plus yet again.  A few days back made a post how I tested it with my Raspberry Pi 3 running RetroPie.  Was happy with the results.  Now I have tried it with my PS4.  The first thing you have to do it is turn off HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) in the video settings.  After that you are good to go.  Recorded some Red Dead Online gameplay.  Was even more impressed when I see the results.  Forgot that it records at 60FPS.  Am so used to working and making videos at 30PFS.  Not sure if my video editing program can edit at 60.  Will have to look.  My camera can film at 60FPS but the resolution goes down to 720 which is not full HD.  Will have to try that as well.
