Mortal Kombat Theme Song

Time once again for musical throwback Thursday.  The song this week is a bit cheesy but all so awesome.  It is the Mortal Kombat theme song.  Well the real title of the song is Techno Syndrome (Mortal Kombat) by The Immortals.  It is off the  Mortal Kombat: The Album.  This a made after the first game was out.  What made it really famous was it was used in the 1995 film based off the games.  Which was all so called Mortal Kombat.  You can give it a listen > here or below.  It just might get you to play the old games.

Game Of Thrones Season 7 Review

Just like that season seven of Game of Thrones is over.  There may have only been seven episodes.  They did pack a lot of awesome into each one.  At time it felt like there were moving too fast.  When I look back at it.  Think its a good thing.  The whole story is coming to a close.  Every storyline is meeting up together.  Sure much like everyone I would love to see more episodes.  But that’s way it is.  Not going to give any spoilers.  Just going to say much like the past seasons.  You have to pay close attention because in-between then big battles and small talk.  There is all kinds of other information about what’s else is going on.

Not sure if this was the best season of the show.  However it was pretty awesome.  They did manage to answerer some of the questions we all had from the first season until now.  There is one season left.  So just know they well be pulling out all the spots.   My main wish for the last season, is they resolve everyone’s storyline in some way.

GPD XD

The GPD X D GamePad I ordered GearBest came in the mail yesterday (Aug 28, 2017).  I must say that was super fast shipping.  It shipped from China on August 13th.  Was thinking it wouldn’t be here until some time in September.  It comes with some preinstalled games and apps.  Some of which are kind sketchy.  So will be deleting those.   There are some other apps I would never use so deleted them.  There are some emulators built in.  Being an Android device you download others.

Went on the Play store and downloaded RetroArch.  Have watched a few videos on this in the past.  It is pretty good and can run on just about every device going.  The first game I tested out of Crash Bandicoot 2.  Once I got the all the files in place.  The game run and looked great.  Now to test out others.   So will be back in an impressions post later on. Gotham Season Four

It is all most September (2017) so new and returning TV shows will be starting to air.  Have noticed a lot are not starting until then end of the month.  Others are waiting until October.  Have read that Gotham which will be back with season four which starts back September 21, 2017.  This would be a Thursday night.  The first three season aired on Mondays on CTV.  Not to sure it CTV will move it to Thursdays.  They might be.  Will find out at some point soon.  Looking forward to this new season.  The show has it good and bad episodes.  However over all it is still fun to watch.

Grand Theft Auto Online: Smugglers Run

The big updates just keep coming for Grand Theft Auto Online.  There was a one back in June (2017) called Gunrunning.  At the ended of August there will be another.   Which is called Smugglers Run.  Must like the other updates this adds new ways to play the game.  The twist this time is.  It will be all about flying.  They are adding all kinds of planes, helicopters and ultralights.  To hold all these you can by a aircraft hanger.  I am not very good a flying in  this game.  However the trailer, which you can see > here or below, does an awesome job at me rethinking about getting better at flying.  This new update will be out August 29, 2017.  You call read more about it > here.

Batman And Harley Quinn

Just a reminder that the next movie in the DC Universe Animated line is Batman and Harley Quinn.   Will be out next week (August 29, 2017) on Blu-ray/DVD.  It has been out on digitally platforms for a little while now.  For myself I like to collect the disc versions of this movies.  Looking forward to watching this one very much.  It has the same art style as 90’s show, Batman: The Animated Series.  It even as the best Batman/Bruce Wayne, Kevin Conroy back as the voices.  If you missed the trailer or want to see it again.  You can do so > here.

PlayStation Store Flash Sale August 2017

There is only a week left in August (2017).  Just like every month this year, so far.  There is a flash sale going on in the PlayStation Store.  There seems to be a lot of smaller games this time around.   Which is fine because lots of them are pretty good.  All so like past sales there are some that have been on the list a few times.  You can see what’s on sale > here.  The sale starts today (August 25, 2017) and ends on the 28th.

A Flock Of Seagulls – I Ran (So Far Away)

It is musical throwback Thursday again.  This song this week is I Ran (So Far Away) by A Flock Of Seagulls.  It is off their 1982 self titled album, A Flock of Seagulls.  This is a very classic 80’s song.  Over the years it has been used in lots of movies and TV shows.  But I think it became even more famous when it was used to promote and used in GTA: Vice City.  That is where I remember it most from.  All so the music video, which you can see > here or below is famously bad.  But very 80’s.

Funko – Pint Size Heroes DC

Like a lot people out there an of fan of the Funko vinyls.  I enjoy colleting the Mystery Minis lines the most.  I check out the their website every now again and seen that they have a line of products called Pint Size Heroes.  Like there other lines these cover many different franchises.  Have never seen these in stores.  Well until a few days ago.  Seen they had the DC line.  Much like the Mystery Minis they are in a blind bag.  So you don’t know which one you will get.  I had to buy four of them.  Each one comes with a check list. There are twenty to collect in total.  I wouldn’t be trying to get them all.  Out of the four.  Did get one that was more rare ones.  Which was Batman Beyond.  The others are a Batman, Poison Ivy and The Penguin.

Grand Theft Auto Online Hours Played

Has been a year since I looked at how many hours I have played in Grand Theft Auto Online.  In the post from last August (2016).  Had played 327 hours and was level 147.   As I am typing this (August 19, 2017) have played 433 hours and am level 173.  Is is by far the most I have played any game.  This is mostly because it’s fun but all so can play with friends.  We setup a map where it is only us hanging out and playing missions.  The online portion of the game will four years old this October.  They are all ways adding stuff.  So don’t think this game will be going offline any time in the near future.
