No Man’s Sky NEXT

Have been enjoying the hell out of No Man’s Sky now it has the NEXT update.  You know a game is good when you are not playing and are thinking about.  Have put about 25hours in so far (Mind you I was off the week the update was out).  Doesn’t feel like it.  It is one of the games time just goes by.  That is because you can go at your own pace.  There is a path to follow.  You don’t have too.  The exploring and craft have improved so much.  It’s fun to do.  Have played a bit of multiplayer.  My goal is to upgrade my suit so I can carry more things.  In turn so I can sell more stuff for more money.  My friends goal is to get lots of money now to buy a better ship.  So he is doing a lot of mining and selling.  I highly recommend getting a copy of this game.  If you own a PS4 am sure you can find copies pretty cheap now.

Springfield Confidential

I am a fan of The Simpsons.  Have just found out about a new book on the show.  It is called Springfield Confidential: Jokes, Secrets, and Outright Lines from a Lifetime Writing for The Simpsons.  There is a good portion of the book you can sample.  Read them and like it.  So I guess I will have to add one more book to the list.  Have read one other Simpsons book.  That was was more about the cartoon family.  This one is written about the people who made the show.  As I am typing this (July 26, 2018) Amazon.ca is asking $23.43 which is a hardcover.

SHAZAM! – Official Teaser Trailer

Yes, talking about another trailer shown at this years (2018) San Diego Comic-Con.  This time it is for the DC movie SHAZAM!.  Was a bit surprised that they made this movie since the character, Shazam or his other name Captain Marvel, is not was well known by the general public.  Captain Marvel is who a superhero but only when the kid Billy Batson says the word Shazam.  You can see the trailer > here or below.  I like how they are keeping the story (from what we see) light hearted.  Think it will be a fun movie to watch.  It is set to be out April 5, 2019.

Fear the Walking Dead Season 4: Official Comic-Con Trailer

A few posts talked about the season nine trailer for The Walking Dead.  Which looks awesome.  In the mean time we have the second half of Fear The Walking Dead to look forward to.  All so at the The San Diego Comic-Con they put a trailer ( > here or below) for the second half which starts up August 12, 2018.  The first half was amazing.  It takes the show in a whole new direction.  It is all most like a bran new show.  Think this half will be just as good.  Looks like a major storm takes place and we get to meet some not characters.  Can’t wait to see what happens next.

No Man’s Sky NEXT Hands On

I bought a copy of No Man’s Sky when it came out back in August 2016.  Really enjoyed the time played.  That being said have not touched it since November of that year.  Even when they put of the many updates.  Now that the NEXT update was out (July 24, 2018) decided to jump back in.  At first was going to just start from my original save.  But with all this new things add thinking it would be hard to figure everything out.  So started a new save file.

Going to say the game is so much better now.  Have had a blast playing so far.  They have add so much.  What I has seen so far that helps is there is a tutorial.  You start off with very little and not too far from your ship.  It gives you small quest to get you up and flying around.  Makes the game far less confusing. Going to keep playing.  It helps a friend has bought a copy so we can try out the multiplayer.  Which works great.  You stick together or go off and do your own thing.

Cher – Believe

Time again for throwback Thursday.  The song this week is Believe by Cher.  Not sure why I haven’t picked this one before now.  It is a great song that gets stuck in your head.  I can remember having a “copy” of a bunch of remix version on a tape.  They were all pretty good.  This off her 1998 album that shares the same name, Believe.  You can give it a listen > here or below.

The Walking Dead Season 9: Official Comic-Con Trailer

The San Diego Comic-Con was this past weekend (July 19 to 22, 2018).  Every year they had lots of great news and info about upcoming TV and movies.  Every year AMC shows off a trailer for that years season of The Walking Dead.  This year is no different.  Season nine will start October 7, 2018.  If you every stopped by this blog you will now am a big fan of the show and the comic book.  You can see the trailer > here or below.  There is other big news as well.  There have been rumours for a while now that the lead actor Andrew Lincoln who plays Rick Grimes will be leaving the show.  Well that turned out to be true.  It sucks then someone leaves a show.  I just wish they were able to keep it a secret until the episode it happens in is over.  Now that every one knows he is gone there will be no real shock when he is gone.

Bohemian Rhapsody – The Movie: Official Trailer

Back in May (2018) they put out a teaser trailer for the movie, Bohemian Rhapsody.  This tells the story of Queen right up there famous Live Aid performance.  Have been a huge Queen fan for more than half my life. To this day their music stands the test of time.  In fact the are still touring all around the world.  Well they other day the put out an official trailer.  Which you can see > here or below.  Think this movie will be pretty awesome.  It is set to be out November 2, 2018.  Not often I go to the theater.  Plan to see this for sure.

Video Games And Headaches

Recently got a digital copy of The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited.  Played it a few times and each time would get a headache.  I do get a lot of headaches at random times so didn’t think much about it.  Decided not play it for a few days and try again to see for sure it was the game.  Then got thinking about other games over the years that caused them.  One I know for sure is the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition.  The camera movement was the problem for me in that game.  It would sway when the character ran.  It was the same thing in Gears of War.  Then here was a game on the Dreamcast where the light patterns hurt my heard.  Think this is the same thing happening in Tamriel Unlimited.  Have played many hours in Skyrim with no trouble. Tamriel Unlimited has pretty much the same movement but there are a lot more stuff going on screen.  It would kind of suck if I couldn’t play the game.  On the plus side didn’t pay too much for it.  If I did have it on disc would just give it to a friend.

GTA Online: After Hours

Back in June (2018) RockStar Games put out a teaser trailer and some info on the next update for Grand Theft Auto Online.  Then didn’t have a releases date other than saying July.  All so there wasn’t a name.  Well that have changed now because it is called After Hours and will be out July 24, 2018.  That is all so the big update for No Man’s Sky is out.  As for this new add on for GTA Online it looks interesting.  They have a new trailer as well.  Which you can see > here or below.  They are bring back a character, Tony Prince, who was in the GTA IV.  Not sure how this new stuff will work.  But guessing will work just like all the other stuff they added over the years.  It most likely cost a lot of money to buy a night club then have to spend even more to upgrade it all.  Will check it out.  Not sure if it will keep me playing.
