State Of Play – April 29, 2021

There was a new PlayStation State of Play video out yesterday, April 29, 2021.  It was about the new PS5 game Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart.  Which is set to be out June 11.  After watching the video > here or below.  Just know the game will be awesome.  Never really tied a Ratchet & Clank game, even though I own one.  All so during this state of play.  At the beginning they announced a upgrade for the PS5 version on Subnautica: Below Zero.  The other game shown was Among Us coming to PS4 and 5.

The Mamas & The Papas – Monday, Monday

Once again it is musical throwback Thursday.   The pick this week is Monday, Monday by The Mamas & The Papas.  They had lots of great songs.  This being my favourite.  It was released in 1966, off the album If You Can Believe Your Eyes and Ears.  I think the song holds up well.  Which you can hear > here or below.

GTA Vice City – Crash, Smash & Dash

Am revisiting an old video I made back in the early 2000’s.  If you every stopped by this blog you will know I am a big GTA fan.  Back in 2002 when Vice City was out.  Was playing it non-stop.  At this time was trying my hand at video editing.  Had a Windows 98SE with 64MB of ram and a 20GB hard drive.  My PS2 was hooked to the VCR and that was attracted to the TV.  So would record footage every now again.  Around that time got myself a Dazzle video capture box thing.  This let you plug in RCA cables to the box and then into the computer though USB.  At the time it was mind-blowing and the footage looked great.  Well not so much 15 years later.  You can see the video > here or below.  It is the most popular video I have.  With over 87,000 views.  Not sure if I still have the original footage.  Going to check and see.  May be I can make a new 15 years later version.

No Man’s Sky: Golden Vector

One more time talking about No Man’s Sky new game mode Expeditions.  I have finished it and unlocked the Golden Vector starship.  Have see pictures of it and some video.  But must say it looks better in “person”.  That being said I don’t know what I fly like let.  All I did was unlock it and take a look at it in the Expeditions save. Since it tied to your account it came be used in any save.  So going to load up my main save to start upgrading it slots and stats.

New State Of Play

Was reading the gaming news today (April 26, 2021).  It was announced that Sony will have a new State of Play on the 29th.  That happens to be a Thursday. They it will focus on the new Ratchet & Clank game, Rift Apart.  But hoping there will be more.  The last one of these was back in February.  That was one was like of lack luster.  So hoping they will surprise us with something really good.  I guess we will find out soon.

The Day Before

There are many zombie and/or post pandemic games out there.  There is one more being added to the list called The Day Before.  what makes this one standout it is an open world MMO.  A few weeks back a friend told be about it.  The some time after that the game makers put out a 13 minute gameplay video.  Which you can see > here or below.  I must say it looks really good and it might be just as fun.  Not sure when it will be out.  As of for now it will be a PC game.  Thinking at some point can see it coming to next gen consoles.

Game of Thrones: Season 8 Re-Watch

It was last April I was planning to re-watch season eight of Game of Thrones.  But never got around to it.  Now that the show is back in the news.  It has been ten years since it first started to air.  Got thinking about it again.  Know this season got a lot of hate on the internet.  I wasn’t one of them.  Didn’t mind how it all ended at all.  It wrapped up the best any show could do.  Think I will watch an episodes every other day.

No Man’s Sky Expeditions

Yep, talking about No Man’s Sky new game mode Expeditions.  This time because I am all most done this first one.  As I am tying this (April 22, 2021), have only two milestones left to get.  Then I would have finished this first expedition and unlocked the golden starship.  All so at this time have put in about 30 hours.   Am sure this could have been done faster but I was taking my time.  Not sure what is store to the next expedition.  Thinking we will find out in May.  Not sure how they will change up the milestones for that one.  Will be back when there is new news.

Freelance Whales – Generator First Floor

That day of the week again, musical throwback Thursday.  Am picking a Freelance Whales song this time.  It is Generator 1st Floor.  Which is off their 2009 album Weathervanes.  First heard them many years ago with their Generator Second Floor song.  Which  I really like.  This one is good as well.  Their is just no music video to go along with it.  However their is one of them playing it live at a SXSW event.  Which you can see > here or below.

No Man’s Sky Expeditions

Once again talking about No Man’s Sky new game mode Expeditions.  This is because I am very close to finishing all the milestones.  The ones I have left are the ones that are harder to get.  Do believe that so far have put in a bit over twenty hours.  Have had fun the whole time.  My goal is still to finish this. Think I will need to look online/YouTube for some help on the fastest or easiest way to get some of the milestones.  The golden starship you do get at the end is pretty cool.
