8Bitdo Wireless USB Adapter

Have seen some videos on an interesting device.   It is the 8Bitdo Wireless USB Adapter.  The idea behind is being able to use a PS4/3 or Xbox One (and others) controllers on the Nintendo Switch.   However it can do much more.  You can even use it on a PC, Mac, tablets and even Raspberry Pi.  Basically it is a Bluetooth adapter.  Think this is pretty cool thing.  Have two PS4 controllers so thinking about getting one these so I can use in on my computer.  In the States they go for $20.00.  Here in Canada (well on Amazon.ca) they are under a different name, YIKESHU, and cost $37.00.  Which is not too bad.  A lot cheaper than buying a new controller.

HG Iron Blooded Orphans: Gundam Hugo Update

A few post back talked about the newest Gundam model kit I bought, HG Iron Blooded Orphans: Gundam Hugo.  Like the other one I put together it was fun to do.  While there are similar in some ways how it goes together.  It’s all so different at the same time.  Which it nice to to see.  This time around I found the plastic filer.  Sometimes when taking the pieces of the holder some extra bits of plastic is left on the piece.  The filer works great of getting rid of it.  Below are some pictures of the finished product.

 

The Mamas & The Papas – California Dreamin’

Musical throwback Thursday once again.  Have picked an older song again this week.  It is California Dreamin’ by The Mamas & The Papas.  This a classic song that holds up really well.  Have heard many remixes over the years.  They are good but there is something special about this version.  This was released in 1965.  Is off their album If You Can Believe Your Eyes and Ears.  You can give it a listen/watch > here or below.

Corner Gas Animated Trailer

We are about a week away from the Corner Gas animated show starting.  Every much looking forward to see how it will turn out.  Am a huge fan of the original show and movie.  So more Corner Gas the better.  The Comedy Network has a new trailer on their YouTube channel.  Must say the animation looks really good.  They will be able to work in some crazy over the top gags that would be way to hard in live action.  Think it will be a great show.  Will find out April 2, 2018.  You can see the trailer for yourself > here or below.

Far Cry 5 Hands On

It is Tuesday March 27, 2018.  That means I got my hands on a copy of Far Cry 5.  About a week before the game was out there has been lot of video up on games websites and YouTube showing off more of the gameplay.  Didn’t want anything spoiled on me.  So have not been looking an any new info on the game.  Know it doesn’t matter too much.  Since I can finally check it out for myself.

[Update] This game is pure awesome.

PlayStation 4 External Hard Drive

For about a year now you are able to use an external hard drive with a PlayStation 4.  Have thought about getting one ever since then.  Because every time I buy a new game would have to delete one.  Sometimes it is hard to decide which one has to go.  Back in January (2018) seen that a friend had a 2TB on hooked to his PS4.  It worked great.  Since then have been watching the flyers for a good deal. Seen a nice on in the Best Buy flyer.  It is a 5TB Seagate STX Backup Plus Portable.  They were asking $160.00.  Which seems like a really good price.  Under $200.00 with tax so I went for it.

It is pretty easy to get to work with the PS4.  Once you plug into the PS4 it will read it.  Saying this can be used for extended storage if its formatted.  This is simple and quick to do.  Takes many be a minute.  You got to settings > devices > USB storage devices.  Then choose format as extended storage.  Next the will ask you do you really want to do this.  Click yes and that’s it.  A few seconds later it ready to go.  Now I have 4.60TB of extra room for games.  Will never have to delete another game again.

Deadpool 2 Another Trailer

There is another Deadpool 2 trailer out.  This one is much better than the other one I seen.  Enjoyed the first movie. But think this one will be even better.  There are a lot more characters this time around.  Not sure who they all are or what powers they have.  We will find out pretty soon. The movie will be out May 18, 2018.  There will be many superhero movies out this year.  This one is on the must watch list.  You can see the trailer > here or below.

Assassin’s Creed Movie Review

Am a bit late getting around to reviewing Assassin’s Creed movie.  If you have every stopped by this blog you will know I am a huge fan of the Assassin’s Creed games.  When I first heard about his movie back in 2016 and see the trailer.  It looked interesting but wasn’t too sure how good it would be.  Then when it was out.  Heard lots of bad things about it.  So chucked it up to being another bad video game movie.

The movie has been on Netflix for a while now and has been on my list to watch.  So the other night gave it a watch.  Well I enjoyed this movie.  It was really well put together.  They did an awesome job of working in story elements and stuff from the games with out being on the nose with it.  Sure the over all story was simplified.  It is an action movie after all.  Speaking of action.  Those scenes were awesome.  The ending as a bit predictable.  Leaving it out for a sequel.  Would like to see another one.  But I don’t think it did do well at the box office.  If you have Netflix it well worth your time.

HG Iron Blooded Orphans: Gundam Hugo

Really like putting together the Gundam model kit I bought last month, HG Iron Blooded Orphans: Gundam Vual.  Decided to buy another.  Took a look to see what else the local comic story had.  The Vual one was the coolest so looked for the next coolest that was with in my budget.  The one I picked is, HG Iron Blooded Orphans: Gundam Hugo.  After putting the first one together looked more info up on these.  Turns out there is a all kinds of kits from different series. Then there are different grades of kits.  These to are 1/144 scale.  Read about the higher ends ones.  Which I think are 1/100 scale.  The cost a lot more.  The trade off is they are bigger but add all kinds of extra detail and parts.  Might get one of those some day.

Led Zeppelin – Immigrant Song

Time again for musical throwback Thursday.  This week decided to pick a very famous song from a one of the most popular rock bands of all time.  It is Immigrant Song by Led Zeppelin.  This was released in 1970 and is off the album Led Zeppelin III.  If you never heard this song you are in for a treat.  For those who know it well, it never gets old.  You can give it a listen > here or below.
