Happy New Year

Well happy New Year’s eve.  Well another year is all most done.  2008 over all was a great year.  Had lots of great laughs and fun.  Here is hoping  to an awesome 2009.

Canon FS 10

I picked up a new video camera today, a Canon FS 10.  I have been looking at the Canon FS series for a few months now.  Because I know that they supported microphones and use flash based memory.  The FS 10 has 8 GB built in.  How ever you can upgrade by using a SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity) card.  Have not tried it yet wanting for the battery to charge.  We yet you know how it is when I get time to play.

Game Day/Night

A bunch of us got together yesterday to play some video games.  We went all out.  We had two HDTV’s, one SDTV and a computer monitor hooked to four XBox 360’s.  Mostly played Halo 3.  That was a blast with 7 people.  One person for the SDTV and monitor.  Three on one HDTV and two on the other.  Only took a few pictures because I was too busy playing.

Merry Boxing Day

I hope every one had a great Christmas and are having a great Boxing day.  I had a very good Christmas.  Ate lots of and lots.  I received some very nice presents.  Which are very appreciated.  The weather was all over the map.  It was some what warm when I got up.  Didn’t even have a fire on.  Then it rained for awhile.  Next the sun tried to come out, but that didn’t last long.  Then the rain came down real heavy.  That stop and it was some what nice.  Here are some pictures.  The first three are one of the gifts I sent to my brother.  Every year he says he wants rocks and stuff for Christmas so I sent him some.

Merry Christmas

I want to wish every one a Merry Christmas.  I hope every one has the best one they can.  Oh, and eat till you can’t eat any more.  That is all ways the best part.

Anuna: Christmas Memories

I came across a new Christmas special last night on PBS.  It was from a group called Anuna.  It was called Anuna: Christmas Memories.  They are an Irish choral group.  From what I have read they have been around since 1987.  The show was really good.  They sang all different types of Christmas songs.  There was one that blew me way.  First off I hate the song Jingle Bells.  However they made a good version.  They sung it with a barber shop style.  You can check out one of the songs from the show here.

I Saw Three Ships

I forgot to to put the song I Saw Three Ships on the list of good Christmas songs I posted a few days back.  Like most Christmas songs there are a million versions out there.  But I found a not bad version on YouTube.

Calvin and Hobbes

I received an email the other day with a few winter theme Calvin and Hobbes comic strips.  I all way like the Calvin and Hobbes comics.  I know there hasn’t been a new one in along time (Ended in 1995).  But it is still fun to look at and get a good laugh.  Going to post a few, I hope I don’t get in trouble. LOL

Death Race Review

Just finished watching Death Race the remake/new one.  I am glad I wait for the DVD to come out.  Not saying its a bad movie, I fact I like it.  Its just more of a renter.  The action was great lots of bullets, car crashes and explosions.  Being an action movie you have suspended disbelief.  How ever I found really funny that the lady co-pilots are all young hot women in tight top and low rise jeans.  I think the best part are the cars.  There seems to be very little CGI.  Which is a good thing when it comes to car chases.  Makes it more interesting.  Most of the plot twists are very easy to guess.

This is a great action movie.  But it is still only a renter.
