Junior Senior – Move Your Feet

It is throwback Thursday once again.  Every now again a “new” song get worked in to the playlist of music pulled into the place I works radio.  The song is Move Your Feet by Junior Senior.  For some reason thought this song is older than I thought it was.  It is off their 2003 album D-D-Don’t Don’t Stop the Beat.  The group is no longer together.  Still this is a very catchy song.  Am sure once you listen to it > here or below you will remember hearing it back in the day.

Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy Prelude

This coming Friday (Augusts 1, 2014) the movie Guardians of The Galaxy will be out.  I know nothing about this comic book film or the comic books themselves.  While checking out the book section seen the title Marvel’s Guardians of The Galaxy Prelude.  It looked interesting so I bought it.  It is designed to prepare you for the story that the movie tells.  The stories take place just before the movie starts up.  The trade as storylines from the 50’s, 60’s and 2013. Like I said it does look interesting but think I should of looked it up first before buying.  Paid the cover price at Wal-Mart.  Which I find weird because most time they are so much percent off.  When I got home looked it up on Amazon.ca (link above) they are asking $8.07.  Oh well, no big deal.  Another trade to add to my collection.

Batman: The Complete TV Series (Limited Edition) Blu-ray

Back in early July learned that the 1966 Batman TV show is coming to DVD/Blu-ray.  At this years Comic-Con they released more about this boxset.  Knew it would cost a lot of money but not as much as they are asking.  Over at Amazon.ca you can get the DVD boxset (as I am typing this, July 27, 2014) for $154.99.  This gives you all the 120 episodes remastered.  A 32 page episode guide and over three hours of extras.  You can check out that version > here.  How ever for $55 more you can get the limited edition Blu-ray.  You get same stuff as the DVD just in Blu-ray HD.  But wait there is more.  It comes with a Hot Wheels replica Batmobile.  The Adam West scrapbook.  44 vintage trading cards.  All so comings with Ultraviolet digital copy.  You can see more on this version > here.  Amazon as the release date as November 11, 2014.  Seems like a lot of money.  Will have to keep my eye on to see if it will go on sale at some point.

Assassin’s Creed Unity Meets Parkour in Real Life

Have talked about Devin Graham’s (devinsupertramp) videos a few times in the past.  He and his team put together some crazy action filled ones.  You can see all the awesome videos on their YouTube Channel > here.  They have done a few game related.  Their newest on is for Assassin’s Creed: Unity.  What’s cool about this is they filmed it in Paris, that is were part of the game takes place.  They mixed in the look of the Assassin’s into the real world.  Have to say it is pretty cool.  These guys take some huge risks just for a video.  You can check it out > here or below.  You can watch it in 4K.  Had know idea YouTube had a 4K option.

Yamaha XT225 Wash And Wax

It has been far too long since I gave my Yamaha XT225 a wash and wax.  So the other day (July 24, 2014) that’s what I did.  Back in late June made a post talking about the small tear in the seam of the seat.  Tried hot glue which didn’t work.  So after the motorcycle was washed decided that I should sew it back together.  You can see the before and after below (the last two pictures).  As you can tell, I am not very good at it.  But think it is a lot better than it was.

  

  

Comic-Con Trailer: The Walking Dead: Season 5

It is San Diego’s International Comic-Con time again.  Just like last year The Walking Dead had their first trailer for  the new season shown there. Season five will kick off October 12, 2014.  Just like the two seasons before it their will be sixteen episodes broken into two parts.  From the trailer > here or below it is going to be one crazy ride.  The only thing I don’t like about the trailer is they kind of give way some what spoilers.  So don’t watch if are turned off by spoilers.  With that out of the way.  We see the at the group gets back together.  All see that Beth is not dead.  Am thinking this story line will be the jump off point for other series that was talked about last October.   That article is > here.

Destiny Beta

Yesterday (July 24, 2014) spent part of my day watching Now Playing on GameSpot.com.  They have a two part video were three people playing the Destiny Beta.  Part one > here (or below).  Part two > here (or below).  Wanted to watch these because have been interested in this game every since they show it off a few years ago.  After watching the videos the game looks really good and fun.  They were giving way codes to the beta when they lived streamed those videos.  The other way to get into the beta was to pre-order the game.  Not a fan of pre-ordering games.  Only did that once and it was a waste of money.

Before I went to bed that night.  Took a look at the GameSpot’s new section and there is an article > here saying the beta is now open to every one.   Provided you have PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold.  The beta is on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.  The beta is set to end Sunday night (July 27, 2014).  This is awesome news.  So before going to bed fired up my PS4, went to the PSN and started the download.   The file is about 10GB and then about 15GB when installed.  One of the great new features the PlayStation 4 has, is standby mode.  So you can download, change up the controllers stuff like that with out leaving it fully powered up.  So that is what I did.  let it download and install overnight.

Thought the game look really good in the videos but it’s even better in person.  The controls are nice an smooth.  The shooting is really fun. The RPG elements are pretty sweet as well.  About to reach level 4 as I am typing this post.  You can play the game by yourself but it is all so co-op.  Think you can team up with two other people (may be more).  Can’t wait to play some more.  The game will be out September 9, 2014.  Think I might just buy this game.  There are some may good games coming out this fall it will be hard to decided what to get first.

Eiffel 65 – Move Your Body

This weeks throwback Thursday is Move Your Body > here or below, by Eiffel 65.  They are still around today.  How ever their biggest hit is still Blue (Da Ba Dee).  Both these songs are off the 1999 album Europop.  Still remember buy this album back in the day.  While those songs were the big hits there are some other great songs on there.  Too Much of Heaven and Europop are pretty good as well.

Assassin’s Creed Unity – Experience Trailer 1

There is a new trailer out for Assassin’s Creed: Unity.  Which they are calling the Experience Trailer 1.  Can see it > here or below.  While they don’t really show that much new video.  How ever what makes it interesting is the guy, Creative Director Alex Amancio talking about the world.  How it was put together and all the new tech they used.  The game looks beautiful.  The movement, the combat and being able to go into buildings looks like so much better than the last games.  As you may know I am huge Assassin’s Creed fan.  So can’t wait to get this one.  October 28, 2014 is the day it will be out.

The Last Of Us: One Night Live

There is an interesting event talking place this coming Monday,  July 28, 2014.  You may or may not know that The Last of Us is coming to the PlayStation 4 the next day July 29, 2014.  The event will have some of the actors reading key scenes from the game.  They will all so be playing live the musical score.  This all sounds pretty cool.  Since the game is so well made and the sound track is pretty awesome.  There will all so be a Q and A with the people that made the game.  The best part is every one will get to see it.  Because they will be streaming it on the PS4 though the PlayStation live events viewer.  If you are not a PS4 owner yet.  You can all so check it out on PlayStation’s Twitch or YouTube channels.  They put out a trailer as well.  Which you can see > here or below.
