The list of free games for PlayStation Plus members for February 2021 is now out. There is another great line up this month just like in January. The PS5 game is a brand new one. I guess that Sony is try to do that they did with Rocket League in in 2015. That was a new game not even out yet and they gave it way for free. And know it’s huge. A few posts back talked about trying to get photogrammetry to work with the video game Diablo 3 Eternal Collection. When you pause the game you seen what your character looks like and it can be spun around. Was think that might be useful in the 3D program. Well I gave it many tries and it didn’t work. Am thinking because the program has no reference to where the character is to the background. Oh well, it was worth a try. Am thinking I will try again with a real world object. Will be back with another update.
There can be some cool things on KickStarter from time to time. Seen a bunch of people on YouTube talking about the Revopoint POP Precise 3D Scanner. The channels mostly talk about 3D printer. They were given preproduction models to try out. From what they showed it does work pretty good. Even with some hiccups. Then the talked about the price. Say it was pretty affordable if you did back the KickStarter early. That is all in well in US money. Took a look at the this ( the link is above) or the KickStarter > here. Even with the their percentage off it still costs around $500 Canadian. Do think the device is pretty cool. But will have wait a bit before thinking about getting one. May be some time next year there will be a price drop. Or someone else comes to mark with something like it.
That day of the week again, musical throwback Thursday. The pick this time is Spaceman (Boomtang Boys Remix) by Bif Naked. The original is off her 1998 album I Bificus. The remix was all so released in 1998. That version you can see > here or below. Do very much like this remix and it has been years since I have last heard it. Do think it holds up well.
Have made many posts talking about getting a FDM 3D printer. Have narrowed it down to two. The first one is the FLSUN Q5. First talked about back in the summer of 2020. It has a lot of nice features. The second printer is the Artillery Genius. Is pretty cool as well. One down side to the FLSun is it is very tall. So it might not fit were I would need to have. As for the Genius it costs more. Going to keep thinking on it some more. Still need to save up some more money.
Am going to give photogrammetry another go. Gave it a try last year with some mixed results. Then kind of stopped working on those projects. Think I need to scale back a bit. A while back while playing Diablo 3 Eternal Collection when you in the menu screen you can see your character. You can spin it around in 360 view. So you can see what the character looks like when you chance the clothes and weapons. Thinking this will be much easier to get photos from a video. Can edit the video to mostly be black and export the pictures. Going to give this a try soon. Will be back with an update.
I know I all ready made a post last week talking about the extra episodes for season ten of The Walking Dead. That was because found out that the start air date is February 28, 2021. Talking about this again because they put out a quick trailer. Which you can see > here or below. While it is not very long they packed a lot into. Looks like we are getting to meet know people. I know some of this footage will be flash back kind of deal. I must say these episodes look really good. We will find out soon, with about a month to go.
A few years back DC but out the service called DC Universe. It was a streaming platform where you could read comics and watch DC related movies and shows in the US. With plans to come to other countries. Well that has gone away. The shows moved to HBO Max. There is some good news. The other day they announced a newish service called DC Universe Infinite. This time it will be all about the comics. It will be starting in the US on January 21, 2021. They said it will roll out in other places some time in the summer. Being in Canada am sure if they stay true to their words it will be here. The only problem might be the price. In the US it will be $8.00 a month or $75.00 a year. My guess it will be a lot more here. Thinking about $12.00 a month to a $100.00 a year. Will be keeping my eye on it. If or when it comes to Canada just might give it a try.
Am talking about Borderlands 3 again. In my last post said the, ”game is pretty much the same. However it seems better at the same time.” in compared to the last games. Well need to make a change to that. After put in about 13 hours the games is thousand times better. Had fun the whole time I have been playing it. All so have not plans to stop. Find the controls nice and smooth. The menu system is a bit clunky but you can get used to it. While all the missions are all pretty much the game. Get and item and shoot the bad guys/things. The stories around them are funny. If you can find this game cheap like I did it is well worth the money.
