Grand Theft Auto V Trailers

Today (April 30, 2013) is a very good day if you are GTA fan.  Because they have put out three new trailers for Grand Theft Auto V.  That’s right three trailers.  They is one for each of the playable characters.  Being able to play as three different people is a very interesting idea.  In the trailers you will se how each one is very different.  They bring different aspects to the world.  You have Trevor, he is the wild one who seems to be off his rocker.  He is the more “red neck” in the country world.  Next there is Franklin.  His world is the intercity, gang member.  Then there is Michael.  He is the rich one.  Living in a nice house with all the stuff.  Not sure if is criminal starting off or becomes one as the game unfolds.  My favourite so far is Trevor.  Think he will be the funniest to play and listen too.

Having watch all three of these trailers three time each.  Looks like it will be the best GTA game but all so the best game of the year.  Can’t wait to get a copy.  The game will be out September 17, 2013.  Pretty sure there will be all kinds of news to come out over the next five months.  I guess there will be some cool stuff shown at this years E3 in June.

Game Of Thrones Season 3 Half Way Review

Episode five of season three of Game of Thrones aired last night (April 28, 2013).  Now that it is half way tough the season thought I would give a quick review on how the show is this far.  It is awesome.  Must say it is the best season yet.  What I like most about this show is how every thing is all ways changing.  The characters are all way evolving.  New light is always shines.  Weather is good or bad.  The biggest example is the kingslayer.  Don’t want to spoil anything in case you haven’t see all the episodes.  But you will look at him in a different way.

The first episode of this season was great but it felt like it was  missing something.  However the next four episodes make up for that.  Each one has new surprises.  That leaves you wanting to know what happens next.  Unlike most shows or movies you never see the big twists coming (unless you have read the books).  Looking forward to see what happens in next fine episodes.  Then wait for the blu-ray and for season four to start.

WWF Royal Rumble

Last night a few friends got together to have a game night.  First started off with some Call of Duty.  Then thought about may be some Halo.  Until one friend brought over an Super NES with a few games.  Have never own any Nintendo products but have played lots of SNES that other people have owned.  One of the games he brought over was WWF Royal Rumble.  I remember this game very well.  Use to play this a lot at my cousins house.  Was never really good at it.  Could never figure out how to throw the guys over the top rope.  For being a 20 year old game it holds up every well.  Still every fun to play.  The most important thing is last night I finely figured out how to throw them over the top rope.  Started the match with Bret “Hitman” Hart and won the rumble.  This has ever happened in any wresting game I have played over the years.  Think some time in the near future we are going to have a retro game night.  Bring out the NES, SNES, Genesis and Dreamcast.  Think it will be fun to look back see how far games have come.  Sure some of the games will be pretty bad.  But know just like the Royal Rumble other will be classics.

Power Prop Flying Gliders

A few days ago was just killing some time on one of those joke picture websites.  Some one posted a picture of those  small foam paper play kits you used to buy at corner stores.  They are called Power Prop Flying Gliders.  Have not seen these since I was a kid.  Don’t think they are made any more but I could be wrong.  Did a quick search to find any official site. With no luck.  Did see lots of pictures and them being sold on ebay.  Think If I did see some in a store some were would buy a few for sure.  They were all the rage when I was in elementary school.  They were cheap and broke very easily.  How ever they were fun.

For All Mankind: The Life & Career Of Mick Foley

There is a new WWE Blu-ray/DVD out that I wanted to buy because it’s about Mick Foley.  One of my all time favourite wrestlers.  It is called For All Mankind: The Life & Career of Mick Foley.  From what I am reading it is, “The first ever comprehensive documentary on the life and career of hardcore legend Mick Foley” .  Plus a bunch of his matches.  Think this will be the first time that WWE has put a real documentary.  Not sure how good it is but plan to buy it at some point.  Did watch the trailer > here or below.  Does look like they did a good job.

 

DualShock 4 Video

As the next generation of video game consoles news starts to heat up.  Microsoft will reveal the next Xbox on May 21.  Not here to talk about that.  Because Sony over at their blog they put out a video talking about the new controller the DualShock 4 for the Playstation 4.  While we still do not know what the PS4 will look like.  The controller does look pretty slick.  It like past models but better.  The big things are the touch pad and the share button.  In the video > here or below the talk about these and other features.  This controller is all so different because Sony ask the game developers what they would like in the new controller.  That is pretty cool.  Time will tell what how all this new gaming stuff will turn out.  The the websites saying the Playstation 4 and the next Xbox will be out the holiday season.

Bruno Mars – Locked Out Of Heaven

There is a new Nissan car commercial that has been airing a lot.  It has a really catchy song.  Had no luck finding the commercial on YouTube or finding out what the song is.  It does sound likes a reworked version of the Bruno Mars song Locked Out Of Heaven.  the song is off his album Unorthodox Jukebox.  I might be wrong about this being in the commercial.  So if any one out there might know what it is please leave a comment.  My guess this commercial only airs in Canada.  In the mean time give the song a listen because it is pretty good.

 

Brave Review

Got around to watching Brave today.  This is one of Pixar’s latest works.  These people all ways upping the ante on how good each movie looks.  They have out done themselves let again.  The world they have created I would say is a masterpiece.  Then there is the story.  It started off promising.  Then went down the tried and test road that Disney is famous for.  The story has two characters in conflict, there is a falling out.  They both realise they have both made mistakes.  At the end they cry and hug it out then live happy every after.  Woven in-between is comic relief by bumbling characters.

I know these movies are aimed at kids.  How ever it would be nice to if the would try something different with the basic storylines.  They may but a different coat of paint over it but the core is all ways the same.   Over all it looks awesome with a few silly laughs.  But that is all it brings to the table.  It’s a rent a best only if you have seen all the other animated movies.

The Last Of Us – Extended Red Band Trailer

It has been a long time since I have talked about the upcoming game The Last of Us.  Was looking up when it will be out since I knew it got pushed back a while ago.  Turns out it will be out June 14, 2013.  While I was looking up that info came across the red band trailer.  This was put out a few weeks ago but didn’t see it until today.  Knew this game looks great but this new trailer makes it look awesome.  The people over at Naught Dog all ways do great things.  Think this will be there best work yet.  This game I think will be a day one buy.  Just take a look at the trailer > here or below.  Then you will see why this game will change how other games are made.

First Ride Of 2013

Have been waiting for this day for many weeks now.  Got my 2006 Yamaha XT 225 out (April 21, 2013) for the first ride of the year.  This is much later than past years.  Have learn to wait a bit long to get it out.  In the past years I would get it out then the weather would turn to shit again.  About 11am today it was about 13 degrees celsius.  Got thinking is this is a good day get the motorcycle out.  Said to myself, “I’ll wait to after lunch”.  That was a mistake.  By then the wind picked up and the temperature dropped to about 5 degrees celsius.

Still I had to take it out for a spin.  First I check the pressure in the tires.  They were only down by a few PSI.  Put the battery back in.  Looked the bike over every think looks good.  Pulled the choke out, pushed the ignition.  It didn’t fire the first try.  Pushed it again.  The bike took to life.  Let it run for a bit while I check out to make sure all the lights were working.  Every thing was good to go.  Only went for a short spin because the wind made it very cold.  How ever it was great to go of a spin again.  Had no troubles at all.  It felt like I never stopped riding for months.
