Game Of Thrones: Season Three Blu-ray Review

As you may know I am a huge fan of Game of Thrones.  Have finished watching season three  Blu-ray box set with all the extras.  Have to say they have done a much better job with the season with the extras.  The audio commentaries were really good as well.  Just a little let down by them.  The box says there are 12 commentaries.  With ten episodes you would thing all ten commentaries one for each episode and two extras for the key episodes.  But know some of the episodes don’t have any commentary.  That is just a small grip.  Over all the this is well worth the money.  From the packaging right through to the extra everything is awesome.

This a must buy for any Game of Thrones fan.  Being on Blu-ray each episode is clear/sharp and sounds great.  The Blu-ray set all comes with DVD’s of the season as well.  Which is nice.  Now that I am done watching this.  Just have to for for season four to start.  Which is April 6, 2014.  Just is case you haven’t marked it on you calendar.

Game Of Thrones: Season Three Blu-ray

Have been waiting for months now for February 18, 2014.  If you follow this blog you will know that is the day season three of Game of Thrones is out on Blu-ray and DVD.  While I was on my lunch break went and got myself a copy.  Wasn’t the only one from work to do so.   Just like the other two season the box set  comes with all kinds of extra features.  There are 12 audio commentaries as well as all kind of other extras.  This is the only show or movie for that matter where I listen to the audio commentaries .  Because sometimes you get a bit more info on the show and how it all came together and behind the scenes stuff.  Find all that very interesting.  Now looking forward to my day off to have a Gaam of Thrones binge.

Game Of Thrones: Season Three Blu-ray/DVD

Just a reminder that season three of Game of Thrones will be out on Blu-ray and DVD February 18, 2014.  So looking forward to see all these episodes again.  I know people still talking about the red wedding.  Speaking of that they are going to have an extra on the Blu-ray box set talking about that.  That should be a cool to see.  There will all so other extras along with 12 audio commentaries.  This is the only show I like listening to the audio commentaries.  As for season four.  They are saying a spring 2014 start.  Looking back at the past three season it will be April/March.

Game Of Thrones Blu-ray Special

Found some thing very cool today.  It is a special Game of Thrones Blu-ray set.  It contains season one and two of the show on Blu-ray.  But wait there is more.  Which is, three exclusive Funko Pop vinyls.  They Khal, Khaleesi and Rhagal (which is one of the dragons).  You can check it out at Amazon.ca > here.   As I am typing this (Nov 8, 2013) they are asking $97.29.  Might seem like a lot of money but you get both season on Blu-ray and DVD plus the vinyl’s.  Think if you were to buy one of these vinyl’s in a store they would be around $20.  If I didn’t all ready own the first two seasons I would think about buying this.  Do think this would make a great gift for a Game of Thrones fan.  How ever if they are a fan like myself they all ready own the seasons.

Game Of Thrones: Season Three Blu-ray/DVD

Good news we have a release date for season Three Blu-ray/DVD of Game of Thrones.  Just like season two it will be out in February.  The date is February 18, 2014.  Soon after that season four will start. While that is still far way it is important to talk about now, lol.  Will be buying a copy on Blu-ray.   Just like the first two seasons.  Pretty sure it come with a bunch of extras.  Not to sure what they are yet.  Sure they will be good.   Can’t wait to see these episodes again.  Just might have to watch the first two season all over again.

Game Of Thrones Season 3 Review

Sadly season three of Game of Thrones ended last night (June 9, 2013).  How ever it was the best season yet.  So much happened that you never seen coming.  Things are all ways changing any thing can happen.  There was no more prof of that than episode nine.  If you have not seen that yet will not say much but it made the internet explode.  Can’t say enough awesome things to say about this season or about the show that I haven’t said all ready.  This is the best show ever made for TV.  Going to say it will never be topped until next season.

After watching the last episode I was very happy how they ended this season.  First thought they would end with a big cliff-hanger.  I was wrong, which is a good thing.  Because they did a answered some of the questions started at the beginning of season all so we see characters get back together  that have not seen each other since season one.  While others move further apart.   It leaves you wanting to know what happens next.  So looking forward to season four.  Pretty sure that will be even bigger and better than season three.  All so looking forward to watching these episodes all over again then the Blu-ray box set comes out.

Game Of Thrones Season 3 Half Way Review

Episode five of season three of Game of Thrones aired last night (April 28, 2013).  Now that it is half way tough the season thought I would give a quick review on how the show is this far.  It is awesome.  Must say it is the best season yet.  What I like most about this show is how every thing is all ways changing.  The characters are all way evolving.  New light is always shines.  Weather is good or bad.  The biggest example is the kingslayer.  Don’t want to spoil anything in case you haven’t see all the episodes.  But you will look at him in a different way.

The first episode of this season was great but it felt like it was  missing something.  However the next four episodes make up for that.  Each one has new surprises.  That leaves you wanting to know what happens next.  Unlike most shows or movies you never see the big twists coming (unless you have read the books).  Looking forward to see what happens in next fine episodes.  Then wait for the blu-ray and for season four to start.

Game Of Thrones Season 3 Premiere

Season three of Game of Thrones started Sunday night (March 31, 2013).  It was a good day for TV after watching the finale for The Walking Dead.  I watch this.  Was so hyped to see what happens next.  Felt a big let down.  While it was awesome.  There was no big hook.  The story pretty much starts right up after season two finishes.  Well kind of, there might days or weeks later.  Since the dragons have gotten bigger.  It was nice to see a character we have not seen since season one.  SPOLIER Barristan Selmy END OF SPOLIER.  What’s great about this show is you ever know what is going to happen next.  Well unless you read the books.  There is some differences between the two but they do follow the books very closely.  The next nine week are going to be tough waiting for each new episode each week.

In other good news.  Today April 2, 2013.  HBO has renewed the show for the fourth season.  Not sure why they waited so long to announce this.  We all knew it would be back for a fourth season.   I am pretty sure we will have to wait till next spring for that.

Big TV Night

Not only this coming Sunday (March 31, 2013) Easter but it is a very big night for some awesome TV.  First off it the the season finale of The Walking Dead.   So can’t wait to see what happens.  Know there will be a big show down between the two groups.  I just know some one (or two) will die.  Know it will be the best episode of the season.  Then it will end with a big cliff hanger.

Next there is the season three premiere of Game of Thrones.  This is another show I can’t wait to see.  These two shows (and Top Gear)  are tired for my favourite shows.  When season two ended it has the White Walkers heading towards the Wall.  If you seen the trailers you know there is going to be some big battles.  Think this will be the best season of Game of Thrones.  Have heard that they have more money to work with this season.  All so each episode will be longer.  It only many be by a few minutes.  But you can tell all lot of story in a minute.

An Evening With Game Of Thrones

Think this is the third day in a row I have talked about Game of Thrones.  Last night over that the Emmys website.  They put on a webcast called An Evening with Game of Thrones.  It started to late in my time zone to watch.  How ever you can still check it out > here.  Have not watch it yet.  But will have I am done writing this post.   If you do give it a watch, the website says to fast forward to the 9.48 mark.  That is were the panel discussion starts.  Have watched one of these before when they had one for The Walking Dead.  You can check that one out > here.  That one was great.  So this one should be just as good or better.
