Game Of Thrones: Season Three Blu-ray/DVD

Good news we have a release date for season Three Blu-ray/DVD of Game of Thrones.  Just like season two it will be out in February.  The date is February 18, 2014.  Soon after that season four will start. While that is still far way it is important to talk about now, lol.  Will be buying a copy on Blu-ray.   Just like the first two seasons.  Pretty sure it come with a bunch of extras.  Not to sure what they are yet.  Sure they will be good.   Can’t wait to see these episodes again.  Just might have to watch the first two season all over again.

Super 8 Review

Not sure why I haven’t seen Super 8 until now but I am glad I did.  This movie come out in 2011.  Remember seeing the trailer and thinking I’ll wait for the DVD to come out.  Was thinking it would just be an ok movie.  Well I was wrong this is a great movie.  It kind of has the feel of the movies I remember from when I was a kid, like E.T. and Flight of the Navigator.  Of course it there is a modern feel to it even thou it is sent in 1979.  This was a fun entertaining watch.  Just wish I had seen it then it came out.

There are a lot of bad to ok Sci-Fi movies out there.  This is not one of them.  It proves you don’t need a complicated plot to have a fun movie.  The kids in the movie seemed like they were real friends.  That really helps you get pulled into the story.  This is a must watch even if you are at a Sci-Fi or monster movie fan.  This movie is way more then the sum of it parts.  There is something special about this movie.  Can’t put my finger on.  If you haven’t seen it, like my self, (until today).  Go and check it out.  If I see it some were on DVD or Blu-ray I will be buying it.

Danny MacAskill’s Imaginate

Have seen an awesome video that I need to share that is taking the internet by storm.  It is called Danny MacAskill’s Imaginate you can see it > here or below.  You might guess but his is the latest film from Danny MacAskill and Red Bull.  Have seen some of his videos before and he is pretty awesome.  It is a bike trails/ street rider.  The stuff he can do in a bike is crazy.  In this video he enters the world of kids toys.  So he is riding around with playing cards as ramps, that kind of stuff.  There is all so a making of type tv episodes you can watch.  Have watched part of the first episode and it was very interesting.  You can check those out > here.

Top Gear Series 20 Trailer

A few post back when I was yet again talking about Top Gear.  I was saying wishes there was a trailer.  Good news is there one out now.  It was uploaded to YouTube June 24, 2013 (the same day I am typing this).  You can check it out > here or below.  It is a very short trailer put it packs a lot in there.  From what I can see there is going to a race with a boat, a taxi race and of course fast cars.  Here is one thing that stood out for me is the trials bike jumping of a roof.  I am guessing it might be Julien Dupont racing against one of them.  In their famous car vs. (insert another transportation) race.  Less than a week to go before series 20 starts.  June 30th, 2013 is the day.

Big Brother 15

Just a reminder that season 15 of Big Brother will be starting this Wednesday, June 26, 2013.  I want to watch this year but not to excited at the same time.  Other years I would look forward to having something new to watch in the summer.  There are doing something new this year besides being the long season and the most houseguests.  They are having a Most Valuable Player.  This is were fans pick a MVP that will have special powers in the game.  They have had something like that is the past.  I think this season will have more input from the viewers.  That might prove interesting.  I am going to going to check it out Wednesday just to see how it turns out.

The Lego Movie Trailer

When I first seen the title The Lego Movie thought is it was a joke.  Turns out it is not.  It is a real movie coming to theatres in February 2014.  After watching the trailer > here or below I now want to see it.  The trailer had me laughing at times.  The best part is when they showed the 80’s Lego space man with the crack helmet.  Found this funny because I had a few of those and all there helmets cracked in the same spot.  Then there is the fact that it has Batman and Ninja Turtles cameos has me sold.

Under The Dome

There is a new TV show staring this Monday June 24, 2013 called Under The Dome.  Have seen the advertisements for it over the past few weeks and it looks very interesting.  It is based off of a Stephen King novel of the same name.  Idea of the show is there is a mysterious invisible barrier that cuts off a small town.  Then the fall out from this has the town in a panic.  The show does look good but being on network TV there is only so much they can show.  Then they will all so have to dumb it down and try to attract the widest audience.  So thinking that might hold back on some storylines.  Will be back with an update once the shows airs and I have seen it.

Top Gear Series Twenty Pictures

We are so close to series twenty of Top Gear starting, I so can not wait.  It will be back on TV June 30, 2013.  Have said it many times over many post, that this is one of my all time favourite shows.  Still not sure how many episodes there will be but my guess here will be at lest six.  Would like to see more but that seems to be the trend for the series that airs in the summer to have six episodes.  From the pictures > here or below you will see that it will be another awesome series.  Sure they will be up to there famous hijinks.  Which makes the show a blast to watch.

   

   

   

   

The Last Of Us

Have put a bit of time into The Last of Us, so going to write an small update on what I think of the game so far.  First off have never playing a game like this before.  Sure it share gameplay elements we all have played many times.  It is the world and story that pull you in right from the start.  There have been many games and movies that have tell stories of a post apocalyptic world.  This one does it way better than most.   The pacing between the exploring and action is  very well done.  Exploring the beautiful world is my favourite part of the game.  There is so much to look at.  It is the most real looking environments.  It all so pays off to exploring because like a lot of games there is a light RPG elements.  You can improve our stats.  But all so find items you can craft things with.  Like weapons to take on the infected or health items.  You do get guns but being set in a post apocalyptic bullets are hard to come by.  That is were stealth and hand to hand combat come into play.  These are really well done.  The only complaint I have is while playing some of the encounters with the infected I would die.  Which is find but have to play the same encounter over and over again because you make a mistake is very annoying.   Example, in one spot you get trapped hanging upside down while the infected come running at you.  You have to use a gun.  That is all fine and cool to play.  The first few waves are easy to dispatch.  Then comes the last guy.  It takes may shots to take him down.  It is easy to mess up because you are upside down and swinging a bit  so it is very easy to miss.  Ended up playing that encounter about ten times.  So that pulls you right out of the world and becomes frustrating.  How ever over all I am enjoying this game very much.

OUYA

Yes, yet again talking about the OUYA.  Because I am still thinking about betting one.  Might buy myself one for my birthday.   You will be able to buy one starting June 25, 2013.  After watching this newest review > here or below I can see how some of the games look and play.  If you head over to the OUYA website you can see a list of the games that are available to download. Looked at this list a week or so ago.  It has gotten bigger.  One of the things I was surprised to see is there are bunch of game emulators on there.  So if you download the emulator and “find” some roms you can play the old games.  Seen emulators for Atari 2600, NES, SNES, Gameboy/colour, Sega Genesis, Nintendo 64 and NEO GEO.  Not sure if they will be there forever.  Can see lawyers having some thing to say.  However it is pretty cool.  If I do decided to get one I will be back with pictures and updates.
