Long Way Around, Long Way Down, Race To Dakar

If you have not seen The Long Way Around, The Long Way Down or Race to Dakar you are missing out. I have seen them all, they inspired me to get a motorcycle. I so can’t wait for spring to get my bike out. I think about it ever day. Back on track. I have the DVD of The Long Way Around and the book plus the The Long Way Down book. All most finished the first book. The plan now is to get the other two DVD’s and the Race to Dakar book. That’s how good they are. Youtube has a bunch of clips if you want to check them out. GTA IV Hands On Info

Gamespot UK got to try out GTA IV. This game is going to be awesome. Some of the high lights is this time around you have to put your gun away for people with thing you are going to rob them. The cars sound cool. The high end models have GPS and they you were to go. The is tole booths too, if you don’t slow down and pay you get in trouble. Check out the article for yourself here.

Justice League: The New Frontier Review

Awesome. I picked up the two disc special edition today. First off this movie is not for kids. There is breaking of bones, blood being spilled and people die. Cool. Its is based on a DC Comics miniseries DC: THE NEW FRONTIER by Darwyn Cooke. That is why the movie looks that way. It is a pretty cool look. The two disc special has lots of good stuff. So far I only watched the extras on the first disc. Which are two good documentaries. One is about the Justice League history and other is a sneak peek at Batman Gotham Knight. Side note Batman Gotham Knight is a new animated movie in the vain as The Animatrix. It will come out before the new Dark Knight movie comes out this summer. I am a big fan of Batman that how I got interested in the Justice League TV shows that came out awhile back. Which are awesome too by the way. This movie is not different. I was going to say if you are a fan pick this up, but if you are a fan you all ready have it. But to ever one else this a good watch get it now.

I Am Legend Review

I must say this wasn’t a half bad movie. Will Smith’s movies as a rule are good. The special FX are top notch. The look of run down New York is pretty slick looking. The CGI animals are ok but you can still tell they are fake. Same goes for the monsters. But that’s not really a big deal. Watching Will Smith’s character go threw his daily routine interacting with the dog is fun to watch. When he starts to break down, there is a scene.

(DON’T READ THIS PART IF YOU HAVEN’T SEEN THE MOVIE) Were one of the manikins in the street he shots then get caught in a trap. What’s up with that? (OK YOU CAN READ AGAIN IF YOU HAVEN’T SEEN THE MOVIE)

You should check it movie out. It may not be a buy but good enough to rent.

No Country for Old Men Review

I wasn’t to sure what this movie was about. All I knew what there was a crazy guy killing people. This is pretty much a character film and all about the dialog. There is some cool action scenes. Which are pretty graphic and cool. The “bad” guy is one of the coolest bad guys ever with the strangest hair cut ever. You have to pay attention because it seems like the story is unwinding slowly but its not. Before you know it, it’s over. I don’t what to give any thing away about the ending but it just ends. Unlike most movies where they rap things up. May be I just said to much but oh well. Its a ok movie but its a one time viewing. Well at least for me any way.

I know this song is old now. But it is still stuck in my head. Why? Because it is one of the songs in RockBand. It is one of my favourite songs to play on the “drums”. If you haven’t seen the video, you are doing yourself a big disservice. So check it out.

Lunar Eclipse Tonight

“The Truro Daily News TRURO – Stargazers will get a rare treat tonight when the Earth’s shadow falls on the moon, creating a total lunar eclipse. Dave Lane, professor of Astronomy and Physics, Saint Mary’s University, says this type of eclipse only happens every few years. It is not expected to happen again until December 2010. The show will begin over Nova Scotia at 9:30 p.m., with the total eclipse happening between 11:01 and 11:50 p.m. The moon will reappear at 1:09 p.m. “Periodically, everything lines up and you will get a total eclipse,” says Lane. “It won’t completely black out. It will turn a reddish or copper colour or seem to disappear completely. A lunar eclipse occurs roughly twice a year when the orbit of the moon and the orbit of the earth line up. At that time, a lunar eclipse, a solar eclipse, or a mixture of the two is created. Lane says he will be watching from the university’s observatory, weather permitting. “We can make predictions on what’s going to happen, but you have to watch it to really know.” Unlike solar eclipses, which require protective eyewear, lunar eclipses are safe to view with the naked eye. The entire show will last roughly three hours and 30 minutes.”
