PlayStation Plus June Game’s Line-up

The game line up for June’s free games is out for PlayStation Plus members.  Like the past few months were is some cross-buy games as well as indie ones.  However there is open really big title coming for the PS4, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes.  You can read the official blog post > here.  There video is below as well.

PS4

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes.  It is a one mission demo for Metal Gear Solid V.  It looks really cool.  Have seen a bunch of video of people playing it.  There seems to be a lot of re-play.  Will be trying it out for sure.

Skulls of the Shogun: Bone-A-Fide Edition.  This is a turned based strategy with a nice art style.

Super Exploding Zoo.  Not sure what to make of is puzzler type game.

Futuridium EP Deluxe.  Looks like an PlayStation One game Wipeout.

Call of Juarez: Gunslinger.  Have wanted to play this game cool western first person shooter.  Now I will be able to.

Cloudberry Kingdom.  An insane looking platformer  game.

Mad Max – Savage Road Trailer

There is a new trailer out for the new Mad Max game.  The new trailer is called Savage Road.  Which you can see > here or below.  The game looks awesome.  The new trailer shows off more of the story elements.  As well as some combat.  Back in April (2014) there was a better trailer out.  Which showed real gameplay.  If you missed that one you can see it > here.  The game will be out September 1, 2014.  Unless it gets pushed back.  Which seems to be the trend with big budget games as of late.  E3 is coming up in a few weeks so I know we will get to see more of the game then.

The Walking Dead Compendium One Review

Finished reading the first The Walking Dead compendium.  May years ago read the first two or three trade paperbacks and really liked them.  All ways thought about getting all them but never did.  Years later the TV show started up and am a huge fan of the show.  Then this past December (2014) the first two compendiums were on sale so I bought them.   At first found it hard to get into.  This is because characters are different then from the TV show.  Once I got past that.  Really enjoyed reading it.  Ended up liking how the show and the comics differ.  While the the can share some of the same elements.  A lot of the events do not turn out the same.

Enjoyed reading this very much.  It is cool to see what elements they used in the show and how they changed things up between the two.  If you are a fan of the show or just into comics this compendium is well worth checking out.  It is a comic book that is more adult then most.  Which is a good thing.  There is violence and sex.  However that doesn’t get in the way of an awesome story.  When I was getting towards the end it turned into a real page tuner.  Now have to start reading compendium two seen what happens next.

Sam Roberts – Where Have All The Good People Gone?

The songs I have picked for the past musical throwback Thursday have been electronic.  So this week picking a good rock song.  It is Where Have All The Good People Gone? by Sam Roberts.  The song is off his first full length album in 2003 called, We Were Born In A Flame.  He had many hit songs on there.  Well at lest here in Canada.  Remember the videos were all ways be on Much Music.  Give it a listen > here or below.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutanimals

The next title in the main series of IDW’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is  Volume 11: Attack On Technodrome.  Which will be out June 16, 2015.  According to the Amazon.ca listing.  Want to take about the coming after that one.  Which will be called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutanimals.   This will be a new miniseries of four comics featuring the Turtles “frenemies” the Mutanimals.  You can read more about it > here.  Then in September the trade paperback will be out.  Looking forward to picking this up.  As you many know and a big fan of these series and own all the trade paperbacks

Coldplay’s Game of Thrones: The Musical

Any fan of Game of Thrones  needs to check out this video > here or below.  It is the funniest thing I have seen in a while.  Should give a little back ground.  The video was part of NBC’s Red Nose Day.  Which aired on May 21, 2015.  It was telethon to raise money for children living in poverty.  The event first started off in the U.K. as Comic Relief in the late 80’s.  They would use comedy to raise money.  The video has Coldplay turning Game of Thrones in to a musical.  It features the band as well as a bunch of cast members prepping the songs.  It has Liam Neeson doing the voice over.  It is pure gold.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

As I am typing this post (May 21, 2015) have but about five hours into The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.  My first impression is the game looks great.  Then felt a bit overwhelmed.  Not with the open world.  It was with all the things in the menus.  You can so so much with in them it hard to take all in at once.  But after a while understand it more.  There is a small problem I have with the menus is a lot of the text is way to small.  However have read that there are working on a patch that should fix that.  There are all so a few small quirks.  Sometimes things will get out of sync.  When moving from action gameplay into a cut scene.  The actions will play out then freeze then the audio with have to catch up.  It’s not that big of a deal.  But think a big game would like that would have that fixed before shipping.  Think this will be fixed at some point.  Over all the game is pretty sweet.  Lots an lots to look at and do.

The Walking Dead Compendium 3

Back in January (2015) learned that the third compendium for The Walking Dead comic books would be out in October 2015.  Well on May 19, 2015 they officially announced the full date.  Which will be October 13, 2015.  Once the listing is on Amazon.ca will be adding to my wish list.  On a side note just about finished reading the first compendium.  At first found it a bit hard to get into the characters.  That is because the TV show is so much different.  After reading more have grown to like how they differ.

DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow

There has been a rumour going around of awhile that there would be another spinoff for Arrow.   There is all ready  The Flash.  Which is really good by the way.  This shows are very popular so it turns out the rumour is true.  The show will be called DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.  It is set in the same world as the other two shows.  Which is awesome in my book.  There will be some crossover characters.  The show is set to air mid season next year.  So my guess is in January when the other two shows take their winter break.  There is a trailer > here or below.  It’s not your regularly trailer more of proof of concept.  Have to say it does look pretty sweet.  I will be watching for sure.  The more the better in my book.

RIDE Demo

The demo and full game of RIDE have been out for awhile in other markets.  The demo is now out in North America and the full game is out June 23, 2015.  Have been waiting to try this game ever since I seen a few videos.  Looks like a very sweet motorcycle game.  So gave the demo a try.  There are very few good motorcycle games and this one is no different.  Other than the motorcycles and the riders gear looking amazing.  The is is not good.  Well the one track you can play is very nice looking.  That’s all I liked about it.  Mind you it is better than that terrible Motorcycle Club game.

In the demo you have one track and three different motorcycles to choose from.  Like I said it all looks great.  The load times are too long even after you pick the bike it load.  Pick the track it loads.  Then you have to confirmer each chose again.  Followed by more loading.  The biggest problem is the game is to ridged.  It’s very old school.  Here the track.  Ride were we want you to.  Go to close to the sides and you crash.  You race on a two lane road.  With a fence one one side and rocks/mountain on the other.  There is no room to go off the track.  So you crash.  Go into a corner to fast and try to stop.  Ended up crashing.  This type of gameplay is very outdate and un-fun.  Was very disappointed.  Will not be buying this game.
