There are only three musical throwback Thursday until Christmas. So picking an all time favourite from the Christmas CD, A Christmas Gift to You by Johnny Reid. The song is O Holy Night. There are lots of great versions out there but his is the best. You can give it a listen > here or below.

Was very much looking forward to seeing this. After watching was a bit underwhelmed. Sure there is a lots of good things about it. The action was top notch, all the actors did an awesome job and the funny bits were great. The story has an interesting take on the zombies. Which was nice. It was just parts of the story and plot points we all have seen so many times takes away from it. Over all I did like the movie and it’s well worth checking out. Just can’t see myself watching it again.

Jupiter’s Legacy Review

Very much like what I seen. A different take on a superhero world while still having elements we all know. The show jumps between to times lines. One in the 30’s and the other in now times. Love the look of the 30’s. Every thing is very detailed and sharp looking. They even changed the aspect ratio when switching between the time lines. As for the story it’s self. While interesting, there are spots were it keeps repeating or becomes generic. That being said there are some good twists as well. Figured out one of the big twists before the last episode. The show ends with a cliff-hanger. So now we have to wait for a second series. Which I think will be better because they would have worked out more of the kinks. Over all enjoyed the show and recommend checking it out.

BrightBurn Quick Review
Posted in Review's with tags BrightBurn, BrightBurn Movie, BrightBurn Netflix, BrightBurn Quick Review, BrightBurn Review, Movie BrightBurn, Netflix, Netflix BrightBurn on May 7, 2021 by getbent57Turned on Netflix last night and was to surprised to see BrightBurn was the first ting to pop up. Forgot all about this movie. First heard about it and blog on it in December 2018. What makes this standout is, a what if storyline. Something like Superman but the child becomes bad. Knew it would be a lower budget with some cheaper VFX. But must say it does look really good in spots. Most of the acting was really good. The story was interesting at times but it would fall flat in other stops. You can see where the story is going so there are no real surprises. The only thing that had be was that it kind of turns into a horror flick. Which is fine. Am happy that I got to see it. Just don’t think it be every one cup of tea.

Halloween (2018) Movie Review
Posted in Review's with tags Halloween (2018), Halloween (2018) Movie Review, Halloween (2018) Review, Halloween Netflix, Halloween Review, Netflix on March 26, 2021 by getbent57Have been a bit of a Netflix watching spree. Checking things off my list. One is the 2018 movie Halloween. Only every seen bits of the original as well as many of the sequels. When I seen the trailer for this before it was out. Thought it looked interesting. What makes this one standout it is a direct sequel to the first movie from 1978. Making it take place forty years later. Kind of forgot about it until it showed up on Netflix in December (2020).
After watching this, it by the numbers slasher flick. The story interduces characters only to have them be killed. Will minus the main star/stars. It was very predictable. Not scary or make you jump at any point. However it was very well made and the acting was well done. If you are into these types of movies it must be one of the best. Just kind of boring over all.

Titans Season Two

For the most part liked the first season. Going to start with saying season two is way better. Once you get past the first episode. This ties ups the events of the first season. It wasn’t very good. While this second season has some really great stuff going on. For some reason it would fall apart in spots. The best parts of the season are when the introduce new characters or when they do backstory with other characters. All so the fight scenes are done really well.
Over all think this is well worth you time watching. Many not so much if you are not into comic book shows/movies. Haver read there is a third season in the works. If they keep improving on what they did in this season it should be even better.

The Foreigner Review
Posted in Review's with tags Jackie Chan, Jackie Chan The Foreigner, Netflix, Netflix The Foreigner, The Foreigner, The Foreigner - Jackie Chan, The Foreigner Movie, The Foreigner Movie Review, The Foreigner Review on October 15, 2018 by getbent57When I seen the trailer for the movie The Foreigner last summer (2017). Knew I would like it not just because Jackie Chan is the star. We all know the many action movies with all the crazy stunts. This one is much different. Sure he there still some stunts in there. But that is not the point of the movie. It is more of a serious thriller. With a some good plot twits.
It is on Netflix so gave it a watch. Like I said up above. Knew I would like it. But it is much better than I thought. It had my attention all they way though. All the actors were great. The move at a good pace. When the action did happen it was hard hitting and amazing to watch. Sometimes movie endings are not that great. This one was prefect. Highly recommend giving it a watch.

It plays out and looks like every documentary made now a days. It starts off with how the company came to be. Had they build up a strong following. Then part way though they start taking to fans. The last part is about the making of the Funko HQ.
Did like this documentary just wished there was more behind the scenes about them. They have some fun interviews with some famous people. Would all so liked to seen more of that. Over all it is well worth your time watching. Just don’t think Funko fans will find anything new information they don’t know all ready.

Gotham Season Four Review
Posted in Review's with tags Batman, Gotham, Gotham Season 4, Gotham Season 4 Review, Gotham Season Four, Gotham Season Four Review, Gotham TV, Gotham TV Show, Show Gotham, TV Show Gotham on May 22, 2018 by getbent57The fourth season of Gotham ended this past Thursday (May 17, 2018). Must say this was the best season yet. All the story arcs have been good. They all flowed at a good pace. Like how they didn’t try a cram too much at one time. All so all the actors have gotten their characters down. Another thing I liked about this season there was less silly things going on.
Am looking forward to seeing what season five will bring. Fox announced that the fifth season will be it’s last. This sucks because this is an awesome show. One good thing about this is, the writers can craft an ending to the show. A lot of times TV shows don’t know if there will be back for a final so they never get any a good ending. If you haven’t seen this show yet, do so. Think the first few seasons are on Netflix.
