A Christmas Story Leg Lamp

My plan last year was to 3D print the leg lamp from A Christmas Story but never got around to it.  Was going to print this one >  here from Thingiverse.  However some took that mode broke it into more parts then made it much bigger.  You can get it > here over at Printables.com.  Think that is supper cool.  Don’t have a spot to put this bigger version.  So I downsized the parts by %50.  So far have two parts done.   My goal is to have it printed and glued together.  So when spring comes I can paint it.

A Christmas Story

It is all most time again to watch my favourite movie, A Christmas Story.   Have cut way back on watching Christmas themed movies and TV shows.  But all ways find time for this one.  Not sure how many time I have seen it.  Have owned the DVD copy for about 15 years.  All so have it on Blu-ray but much prefer the DVD version.  Really wold like to see the the sequel, Christmas Story Christmas.  However it is only on HBO Max.  Did look on Google Play store.  It’s listed there but you can’t  rent/buy it.  So guess it will be on there at some point.

A Christmas Story Christmas Trailer

A few weeks back they put out a teaser video for A Christmas Story Christmas movie.  Knew it wouldn’t be too long before we got a full trailer.  The put that out on November 1, 2022.  You can see it > here or below.  I must say it does look funny, even with all the slap-stick stuff.  It is set to be on HBO Max November 17, 20022.  Going to keep an eye out to see if it will be on Blu-ray.

A Christmas Story Christmas – Teaser

Have known for some time now they were make another sequel to A Christmas Story,  Which happens to be my all time favourite movie.  Back in January (2022) we learned what it will called A Christmas Story Christmas.   Have some good news to share. They put out a teaser video, which you can see > here below.  At the end they give a date, November 17, 20022.   The sad part is it will only be on HBO Max.  Going to keep an eye out to see if it will be on Blu-ray.

A Christmas Story Christmas

It might be a bit last or really early depending on how you look at it.  My all time favourite movie, A Christmas Story, is getting a real sequel.  There have been other sequels and spin offs.  Like a Summer Story, A Christmas Story Live and A Christmas Story 2.  What is interesting about his new one called, A Christmas Story Christmas, is that the main actor who played Ralphie (Peter Billingsley) is coming back.  According to IMDB the plot is, “Follows Ralphie, now adult, who returns to the house on Cleveland street to give his kids a magical Christmas like the one he had as a child, reconnecting with childhood friends, and reconciling the passing of his Old Man.”  Will be keeping my eye on this.  It could be really great.

A Christmas Story Leg Lamp

Have all ways wanted a prop Leg Lamp from A Christmas Story.  Do have a small tree ornament.  But that is too small.  Many years ago a local shop had some in different sizes but at that time didn’t have the money for one.  Well know that I own a 3D printer why not make one.  Seen this very nice model over at Thingiverse > here.  I know it is well after Christmas now but going to give it a try.  May in different sizes. If they turn out ok.  Will give them a paint once winter is over.  Then the will be ready for next year.

A Christmas Story

As I am typing this (December 11, 2021)  there are long two weeks left till Christmas.  I haven’t watched any specials or movies that I like yet.  Not really into that this year.  However I must find the time to watch A Christmas Story.  This is my all time favourite movie.  Not sure how many times I have seen it and it never gets old.  Own it on DVD and Blu-ray.  Choose the DVD every time because that one the mistakes are still all there.

Not sure how many times I have blogged about the all time favourite movie, A Christmas Story.  But doing it again.  Last year was a bit late than usual at watching it.  Most years try to see it three to four times.  So my next day off plan to start my Christmas movie/TV favourites watching.  There are a bunch that I like to watch.  If you have stopped by this blog in past Decembers you might know what they are.  But if not will be sharing them in future posts.

Glorious, Beautiful Christmas

Now that it is December.  It is time for Christmas themed musical throwback Thursday.  My all time favourite movie is A Christmas Story.  Lost track of how many times I have watched this.  Then the end credits roll on the shot of the house with a light snow fall there is a song playing.  It sounds like Wish you a Merry Christmas.  On the official soundtrack they call it Glorious Beautiful Christmas.  You can give it a listen > here or below.

A Christmas Story

Time is running short I have yet to watch my all time favourite movie, A Christmas Story.  Most years watch it two to three times.  Not much in the Christmas mood this year.  That being said my be once I watch this again it might do the trick.  There are people I know who have ever seen this.  I tell them it’s a must watch classic.  They seem to think the whole movie is about a BB gun.  Tell them that only a small plot point.  Then tell them that this is the most realistic family to ever be in a movie or TV.
