Game of Thrones: Blu-ray Review

Finished watching all the extras on the Game of Thrones Blu-ray last night.  So it time now for a review.  If you follow this blog you know I am a big fan and this Blu-ray didn’t disappoint.  The show looks so awesome in HiDef.  You can see so much detail.  All most all the episodes have a commentary track.  For the first time in any movie/show that has them I when back to each episode and watched again with the commentary on.  Expect one because the kids were talking.  It started to bug me when they went on about how great it was to work with that person and this person.  Any who, did learn a few things about the show listening to the commentary.  Like how the changed some things from the books, added new scenes because they wanted some characters to interact.  All so how the changed some characters plot path.

The only things that I was a bit disappointed in was the behind the scenes feature.  Didn’t show anything cool.  Over all this is a must buy.  One more day till season two starts (April 1, 2012).  Can’t wait to see what happens next.  If you have not seen this show go out and buy/rent now.

First Ride Of 2012

It felt good to get my 2006 Yamaha XT 225 motorcycle out for the first ride of 2012 (March 30).   The weather wasn’t too bad.  A bit cold, around 2c.  The sky was blue but most important there was no wind.  The bike fired up the first shot.  A little over a week ago we had some crazy weather for two days.  It was around 20c.  Lots of motorcycles were out those days.  Wanted to get mine out but knew better.  The following days the weather was super cold.  Think spring is here now (fingers crossed).  Looking forward to getting out for my rides and taking it to work.   As well as the pictures (below) took some video as well.  Not sure it turned out.  Only went for a short ride because I got cold.  Will see what can be done with the footage.

 

 

Goodbye Penny

The federal budget was today (March 29, 2011).  Most of the time I don’t pay much attention to this kind of thing.  A bunch of talking heads going on and on.  But one thing stood out to me.  They are getting rid of the penny.  The plan is to phase them out this coming fall.  Which means the mint will stop sending them out.  You might be thinking what I was thinking.  What about the ones we all have laying around.  Well they will be still accepted every were.  They are still legal tender.  You call read more about this > here.  So goodbye penny.  I am sure there will be many happy to see you go.

WrestleMania 28

This Sunday April 1, 2012 is a big day not only does Game of Thrones season two start but it is all so WrestleMania XXVIII (28).  Do believe I am going to get to see in live, well pay pre-view.  It looks like it will be a good show.  Being about four hours long I am sure there will be some ok matches.  But the good one will be awesome.  Think three of eight scheduled matches so far will be the best.  Triple H vs Undertaker will be the best.  Looking forward to see CM Punk vs Jericho and Team Teddy vs Team Johnny will be pretty good as well.  As for the “big main event” I think it will suck.  They been hyping this match between Rock and Cena for a year.  I could be wrong but will find out this Sunday.

New Website

I am working on a new website.  It is not for me, It is for a friend.  While he was teaching in South Korea he was all so training in martial arts.  The place he trains at doesn’t have a website.  So he got taking to him about that he knows someone who could make you one.  He asked me if I would and I am game.  The site is Seobu Marchial Art Center (I know it is spelled funny but that is on Korea is translated to English).   The site is up but there is no real info on it yet.  Just waiting to more info/pictures and what not.  Hope to get that stuff soon to make the site look better.

Lego Animation: The Duel

Seen a video called The Duel last night and I just have to share it.  It is a Lego animated video.  I know there are a million of those out there but this one is different.  What makes this one special is the camera movements and the fact that the guy, Namechild, uses real visual effects.  This guy as some killer skills.  More info on his Facebook page or seen his other works on his YouTube channel.

Assassin’s Creed 3 Pictures

There are some more “leaked” Assassin’s Creed III pictures.  They say they are leaked but my guess is they were leaked on purpose.  The last few days I have seen the trailer for this game on TV a bunch of times.  Not sure why they are pushing this game so early it doesn’t come out until October.  I know E3 is coming up but that is still months away.  Doesn’t really matter because this game is going to be awesome.  Just take a look a the pictures below.  Day one buy for me.

   

   

Draw Something Free

Heard about the app called Draw Something yesterday.  Had some free time today to give it ago on my iPod Touch.  Should say I gave the free version a try.  Once you download it.  You can sign in with FaceBook or email.  The idea of the game as you might guess from the name is.  Someone out there gets a choose from three things to draw.  They draw it and then you have to guess what it is with the letters the game gives you at the bottom of the screen.  Only got to try one round so far because the battery died.  Going to give it another go later.  From the small moment that I got to try it, it works great.

Game of Thrones: You Win Or You Die

Got a nice little surprise today. When and checked out  the Game of Thrones YouTube page.   Most of the time then have short behind the scenes stuff and trailers but today there was a long video about 22 minutes called You Win or You Die.  In it some of the actors and what a guess is a producer taking about season one and what’s coming in season two.  It was very interesting.  Need they end they some some stuff I from season two that I think it make the show even better.  Can’t wait for April 1.  Just got to get though the Blu-ray of season one before than.

Chrome Gamez

Have seen a lot of sites like Chrome Gamez.com over the years.  What the site is a collection of flash game you can played in your browser.  While you don’t have to use the Chrome browser to play.  I think if you do you an install it and a link will be in the app section of the new tab thing they have.  All so think if you sign up for this website you might be able to save your progress in some of the game.  Some of they are real full on games with lots of detail.  Gave the game King Island 2 a try.  It is like a clone of Diablo 2.
