M83 – Outro

Was watching the trailer for the movie called Cloud Atlas.  During the last half of the trailer there was a song I really like.  Have heard it before but could not remember were.  Have looking it up. It was used in the snowboarding movie The Art of Flight.  It was all so used in the Top Gear India Special.   The song is called Outro by M83.  Off there album Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming.    It is a nice mellow with a bit of high energy that makes it awesome.  Do not think here is an official video.  Did find of nice one on Vimeo > here or below.

 

Cape Breton Bikefest 2012

Only four more days till the 2012 Cape Breton Bikefest (August 3rd to 6th).  Look forward to going every year.  This year they are going to have a real stunt team.  Called the Hub City Stunters.  Hoping the the weather is stays nice.  All so hope this year is better organized.  I know things will don’t all ways start on time.  Just as long as it close.  Plan on taking some video this year.  May be the burn out pit will happen this year.  Unlike last year.  Will be back will pictures/video some time after the Bikefest is over.

The Three Musketeers Review

Got around to watching The Three Musketeers, the newest one from 2011.  Really enjoyed this movie.  It is a silly, popcorn action movie that pulls it off very well.  At first I thought it only shared the name of The Three Musketeers with the original story.  But I was wrong.  The base plot points are the same.  They just up the ante with the over the top stuff is new.

Figured this movie would be some what bad.  It was a nice surprise it was great.  It was just a fun watch.  Didn’t take it self to seriously.  It all so looks great.  They use slow mo shots that ever awesome.  Didn’t over use it, just enough.  What I am saying is this is a must rent.

Patrick Stump – Everyday

A week or so ago was flipping though the channels and landed on PBS.  They had a special tribute concert on called Listen to Me: Buddy Holly.  The album shares the same name.  Was half watching until I heard a nice version of Everyday.   It was sung by Patrick Stump.  Never heard of him.  Turns out he was/is the lead singer of Fall Out Boy.  I know who they are.  Any who this is a great version of the song.  I think it much better then the original.

Olympic Opening Ceremony

As I am type this the opening ceremony for the 2012 Olympics is still going on, with all parade of athletes.  The opening was really good.  Most of the time the opening is strange and hard to follow.  How ever this one was easy to understand what was so going.  It was a great show.  The way the mixed the people with the stage show, the music and video on such a huge scale was just awesome.

It was all great but the dance number with all the music though the years dragged on a bit too long.  Some stand out funny stuff was with Daniel Craig (playing James Bond) with the Queen.  But by far the best moment was with Rowan Atkinson playing the song Chariots of Fire with London Symphony Orchestra.  If you haven’t seen it you can see it > here.  But not sure for how long since these things get taken down pretty fast.

   

Ralphisms

Even one knows The Simpsons and some of the best stuff is the Ralphisms.  You might say, “what’s that?”.  Well that is the stupid/funny things Ralph Wiggum says.  Below or here is a all most three minute video of the best of Ralph begin Ralph.  If this doesn’t make you laugh then you have no funny bone.  It is just pure gold.

The Dark Knight Rises Review

Went saw The Dark Knight Rises yesterday afternoon.  I like going to matinees.  There are all ways less people and getting out and and the sun is still out is nice.  Any who back to the movie.  I really like it.  Just like how the first two were different but some how the same.  This one has the same feel but is like a standalone movie at the same time.  They play tribute to the first two will some flash backs and some jokes which were nice.

All the actors did an awesome job.  Bane was great.  Was glad they did use the comic book type Bane that juice up to be come unstoppable.  When I first heard that Anne Hathaway was going to play catwoman, wasn’t too sure about that. But I was proven wrong.  She was the best  Selina Kyle “catwoman” ever.  Wouldn’t mind seeing her is a spin off.  Joseph Gordon-Levitt character was a nice touch as well.  He gets a nice twist at the end that I didn’t see coming.

Over all loved this movie.  Can’t wait to see it again and watch it on Blu-ray.  The only thing I didn’t like, like a lot of movies do is.  Its hard to make out they are saying in some scenes.   Go see this movie well worth every penny.

WWE 1000 Raw’s Review

The 1000th episode of WWE’s Raw air last night (July 23, 2012).  Must say they did put on a good three and little bit hour show.  There was all kinds of nice surprises.  The DX reunion was pretty funny.  Not only were the other DX’s members back put that wasn’t the last of of other surprise guest.  Lita was back and beat up Heath Slater with help from the the other guys that beat him up over the past few weeks.  Dude Love came out with Brodus Clay. I thought it would be a tag team match but no.  He was just there to dance in the ring.   One thing I didn’t like was that Christian lost the belt to The Miz.   But the best surprise of the night was to see the Undertaker kind of team up with Kane just to though some of the “jobers” out of the ring.  All so like how the show ended.  Was nice to see The Rock get taken out by CM Punk.   So that is a set up for the 2013 Royal Rumble.  In which The Rock will wrestle for the belt.

Over all it was a good show.  A mix of the past and present.  Lot of nice surprises.

LittleBigPlanet Karting Beta

Gave the LittleBigPlanet Karting beta a quick try.  After customizing my sack boy and kart, which has the same look and charm as the other LittleBigPlanet games.  Gave three online races a try.  The first two played just like every other kart racing game other there.  The next one was like a demo derby/deathmatch.  Which reminded why I don’t like kart racing games.  While this is a good game and well done.  It is just not for me, don’t find them fun.

Saints Row: The Third Review

Finished the main storyline and all most all the side quest (have three left) in Saints Row: The Third last night so it is time of a review.  Like a lot of game now a days there is a RPG element.  As you play weather you are doing missions, side quest or just messing around you get rep and or money.  As you level up you unlock and can buy all kinds of good perks that make the game more fun or improve you character.

I spent most of my time buying all the stores and side quest to get more money to buy all the upgrades.  By the time I finished all that my character was pretty much unstoppable.  Which made the last missions a lot easier to play.  The missions get pretty crazy at the end so the upgrades make all the different from finishing them and not die all the time.

Enjoyed this game very much.  Even after putting 32 hours into it I still want to go back and upgrade every thing.  This is a must buy.  Even if you do not finished or unlock all the stuff it is just fun to run around in the crazy Saints Row world.
