Avicii – Wake Me Up

Have found my new favourite song.  It is called Wake Me Up from Avicii.  He is a very famous Swedish DJ but may be not around here.  It is most famous for his song Levels.  Which was mixed in with Flo Rida’s song Good Feeling.  Have to say Wake Me Up is the best song I have heard in a very long time.  I has the right mix of awesome vocals which have this classic feel to them with the mix of high energy.  While the official video is very good.  I like the lyric video much better.  You see that > here or below.  This song will be on his up coming album True set to come out September 13, 2013.  If you are going to give it a listen I recommend putting on a pair of headphones.

The Top Gear Story Book Review

Borrowed a copy of the book The Top Gear Story:  The 100% Unofficial Story of the Most Famous Car Show…In the World.   As you may know I am a huge Top Gear fan.  So when I saw this book I had to read it.  While it was interesting because some of the background about the show I never knew.  Then there was the rest of the book was more of a rehash of the show.  In many chapters in the book the writer would talk about segments from the show and just describe what happen in the segment.  Like myself any one  reading this book would be a fan of the show there for all ready knows what happened in each episode.  The rest of the information is pretty much public knowledge.  Because the write use TV interviews and new paper articles/interviews.  Mind you never seen or read this since I don’t live in the UK.  So it was new info for me.   Over all it was a bit of a let down.  Was hoping there would be some real cool stuff to read that know one else knows about.  Some behind the scenes of the show would have been so great.

Over all this book was a bit of a let down.  While there was some information I never knew about.  All the info in this book either straight from the show itself or other peoples interviews.  Thinking I had my hopes were too high about this book.   Guess I will have to wait for some day when there is an official book.  Don’t waste you money buying this book.  Unless you can get it cheap or borrow it like I did.

Grand Theft Auto V: The Official Trailer

Know we are getting close to the releases for Grand Theft Auto V.  Because today (Aug 29, 2013) they have put out the official trailer for the game.  You can check that out > here or below. While it is very short about a minute.  It shows off what some of the main story line is about.  Looks very cool.  So can’t to play this game. Oh, if you want to know the song from the trailer I did.   Found out it is called Sleepwalking from the band The Chain Gang Of 1974.

Twisted Metal 2

Played some Twisted Metal 2 the other day.  Have not played this game in a very long time.  This game came out back on the Playstation is 1996.  This was one of the first game my brother bought when he first got his Playstation.  We played the hell out of the game.  It was very fun.  When I started playing it again I remembered just how hard it is.  Then remember while we used to cheat while playing single player.  One other thing I remembered was how to shoot the freezing special.  Of course the game is very dated now and the controls are not that great.  But think when I get back into the groove it will be just like the old days.

Grand Theft Auto V Pictures

Once again talking about Grand Theft Auto V.  This will be my most talked about subject of 2013, I think.  We are getting closer to September 17.  So there are some new screen shots out or pictures.   These ones show off more of this awesome looking world.  Really like the one in the country side.  It will be fun to drive though all those grape vines.  They all so update more of the interactive travelogue over at the website.

   

   

Necessary Evil: Super-Villains Of DC Comics Preview

There is a new preview or what they are calling it on YouTube an exclusive extra scene.  For the up coming documentary Necessary Evil: Super-Villains of DC Comics.  This clip is called Left for Dead.  It talks about Red Hood (the Jason Todd version) .  How a hero can become bad and if he can get redemption.  While they are talking there are clips from my favourite DC Universe Animated movie Batman: Under the Red Hood.  Think this upcoming documentary will be pretty awesome.  It set to come out October 25, 2013.

The Walking Dead: The Complete Third Season Blu-ray/DVD

Just a reminder that the Blu-ray and DVD box set of the complete third season of The Walking Dead will be out August 27, 2013 .  I am sure by now you know I am a huge fan of this show.  So I will be buying the Blu-ray set just like the first two seasons.  My plan is to have myself a Walking Dead marathon.  Not sure if I want to start from season one or not.  Do have some vacation time coming up so just might set down and spend the whole day watching Walking Dead.  After that is all done will just a waiting game for season four to start.  Which will be October 13, 2013.

Batman: Arkham Origins – Nowhere To Run Trailer

There is a new trailer out for Batman: Arkham Origins.  That was shown off at this years Gamescon.  Which is the biggest video game trade show which is open to the public.  This newest trailer is called Nowhere to Run.  You can see it > here or below.  The trailer shows off a new character that is trying to take out Batman to collect the prize money from Black Mask is Firefly.  He does look like of of the cooler bad guys in the game.  We all so get to see some of the Batcave and Alfred .  So looking forward to this game.  Just hope it is good as the last one if not better.

Clarkson – Shoot-Out

Have watched another one of Jeremy Clarkson’s DVD’s I have found on YouTube.  This time around it a bit new.  Realised in 2003 is  called Clarkson – Shootout.   It has Clarkson deciding which of 30 cars is the best of the year.   Like all the show/DVD’s he makes they are just fun to watch.  Not just because the the cool cars but just how funny he can be.  For being 10 years old the cars still don’t look that dated.  Not sure what one I will check out next in the mean time be sure to check this one out > here or below.

The Place Beyond The Pines Review

Have wanted to see The Place Beyond the Pines for a little while now.  When I first seen a trailer it caught my eye because there was a motorcycle in it.  Then I read the guy robs banks using a motorcycle to get away.  Was going into this movie not knowing what to expect.  That is a good way to see a movie.  This movie takes place over about 17 years.  With three main storylines that weave together.  The plot is easy to follow.  The movie is long, well over two hours.  While the story is interesting with one very cool twist in the middle.  It does get bog down.  Very slow placed.  Was a bit board watching this.  Then something would happen, then I would want to know what happens next.

This a very well made movie with an interesting story.  It just not for very one.  If you are looking for a well acted and put together then you are in luck.  If you seen the trailer like myself thing there would be a lot of action stuff.  Your not so lucky.  The motorcycle stunts are cool and realistic.  But that is only one small part.  This is a strong rent.
