Snow Storm

Well I think we had the biggest snow storm around here this year (March 30-31, 2009) and it not even winter any more.  A few days ago it was around 7 or 10C and had my motorcycle out.  Now we are buried under snow again.  So much for spring.

Quantum Of Solace Review

Just finished watching the new James Bond movie Quantum of Solace.  This is a another great Bond movie.  This new reboot of this movies it makes they much better to watch.  Not sure if this one had the same impact as the first one with Daniel Craig, Casino Royale.  This one is full of great action it doesn’t stop.  Which is awesome.  I found the story a little confusing at first.  But non the less it was a good story.  Over all this is a very good watch.  Check it out.

Legends Of Wrestlemania

Tried the new wrestling game Legends of Wrestlemania last night.  I can’t do a full review because I only played and watched it being played for a few hours.  It is not a bad game but not great either.  The presentation I think is the best part of the game.  They show old videos of the matches you are going to playing.  When the wresters come down to the ring they use the the same style of TV fonts used back when ever time period the match to place.  Which is cool.  The wrester themselves look way over the top.  Their face look right but the rest of them are over exaggerated.  There all so seems to be lots of glitches.  I think this game is more of a rent than own.

First Ride of 09

Had my first ride of 2009 today (March 28, 2009).  Last year I had it out April 4, so it was an week early this year.  I ride a 2006 Yamaha XT225 and love it. It fired the first shot.  I had put gas stabilizer in before I put it away for the winter.  When I got home from work today.  I wheeled the bike out in to the sun and turned the gas on.  Left it for about an hour.  Came out and put the battery in.  Turned it on and the first push of the button and it fired.  I had a great ride, didn’t have an problems.  Also I didn’t stall it, LOL.

DiRT 2 Trailer

There is a trailer out for DiRT 2.  The trailer is a bit short more of a teaser.  You can check it out here.  The first DiRT is one of my all time favourites games.  I hope number two is just as great.  It will be out some time in 2009.  With this and Fuel coming out this year it will be a great year for racing games.

Killzone 2 Review

I think it about time I got around to reviewing Killzone 2.  I have had the game for a few weeks now.  The game is very nice to look at.  It plays like your standard FPS, well if you change the default controls.  Not a fan of the default controls.  The single player is really short.  It seems like most new games are short.  It took me about six hours to get the the final boss.  I did not finish the game because the final boss is a giant pain in the ass.  I tried around tens times the first time, got pissed off and shut it off.  Came back a different day and the same thing happened.  So I gave up and started over from the begging.

I tried multiplayer a few times.  It is much different than other multiplayer FPS I have played.  What didn’t like about the multiplayer was it seems like ever one ended up bunch together in one or two different spots on the map.

If you like to play FPS online you will dig this game.  How ever the single play campaign is really short.  Oh and it is really good looking game that’s for sure.

Tales Of The Black Freighter Review

Watchmen: Tales of the Black Freighter & Under the Hood is a new DVD that came out (March 24, 2009).  The Black Freighter and Under the Hood are a comic book and a book with in the Watchmen graphic novel.  The Black Freight story on the DVD is animated pretty much word for word from the graphic novel.  The best thing is Under the Hood.  It is live action done TV news magazine style in the 1985 and 1975.  It is pretty cool.  Some of the actors from the Watchmen movie play there roles in this.  If you are a Watchmen fan you need to check this out.

Must watch for the Watchmen fans out there.

RC Spring Wheeling Video

The Mark and had his two RC crawlers out on Sunday (March 22, 2009).  He was driving the blue one and this friend was driving the Yellow one.  Now that most of the snow is gone there is some mud and what not.  Makes it more interesting.  Here is the video.

Punisher: War Zone Review

I was surprised how good Punisher: War Zone was because the other ones were not so good.  This one is nice an violent, the way a Punisher movie should be.  Ray Stevenson did an awesome job playing The Punisher.  The story moved along nicely.  Didn’t get bogged down in the back storey.  Did I mention how violent this movie is.  The shoot outs are unreal.  This is how a good action movie should be.

This is how a Punisher movie should be.  This is a great action movie.  Give it a rent.

Midnight Club: LA – South Central DLC

The new DLC for Midnight Club: Los Angeles is out now.  I came out Thursday (March 19, 2009).  There are two parts to the DLC one free and the other pay.  The free one gives you a new part of the map to drive around.  The pay one gives you new 9 new vehicles, parts, races and missions.  Download the free map add on the other day and tried it out today (March 22, 2009).  When I first booted up the game I wasn’t to sure if the map was bigger.  So I went online to see if it worked.  I was some of the new cars and the new map.   The new map is nice looking.  Raced a few races to check it out.  I like the fact that RockStar Games gives out free DLC along the the pay.
