Drillbit Taylor Review

Wanted to see Drillbit Taylor for a little while.  So I watched it today.   It was ok.  Had some funny moments.  It had a bit of a Superbad feel to it.  With out being a stupid teen sex comedy.  It has the same feel because Seth Rogen was one of the writers.  The plot is pretty stander.  Young kids go to there first day of high school and get picked on by some crazy and mean guy. Stuff happens and things work out in the end.  It’s been done lots of times before.

Its an ok movie.  A rent if there is nothing else or are a Owen Wilson fan.

Doomsday Review

Well Doomsday is not very good.  The trailer looked ok.  There were some good action scenes.  There was some graphic violence.  That’s pretty much it.  The story is lame.  Other movies did this plot much better.  Not much else to say don’t bother watching.

Gamespot.com posted a the new trailer for midnight Club: Los Angeles.  All so found it out youtube.  But for a better look version got the the Rockstar website.  It looks really awesome.

Riding In The Rain

Got stuck riding my Yamaha XT225 in the rain today.  I knew it was going to rain.  I was just hoping it would wait till I got home.  How ever the powers that be wanted me to stay an extra hour at work.  So when that hour was up.  I got my stuff together and headed towards the door.  A co-worker said you might want to wait a bit.  I was like why?  She said take a look.  I looked out the window.  All I could see was a sheet of white.  I have not seen rain like that in a long time.   Once it slowed down I head out.  The parking lot was flooded.  The time I got home I was drenched.  I don’t think I have ever been that wet.  It was so bad, once I got off bike at home, a puddle of water fell of my lap when I stood up.  Crazy.

Stock Car Races

Went to the stock car races at the Island Speedway last night.  It was the first race I went to this year.  We sat in the pit area seating.  Some pretty crazy and funny things happed.  The wall got bumped a few times in front of us.  Sparks every every.  The best bump some one guy slid out and hit the wall head on.  A few tires came off.  The best on was the cars were in a caution.  They were going really slow and this guys whole tire and rim came off.  Funny stuff.  There was one really crazy crash.  Three guys were going into the corner side by side.  None of them were going go give in.  One car went air borne and one other hit the wall hard.  The car the went air borne got back into the race.  Pretty crazy.

The Dark Knight Review

Holy crap, The Dark Knight was unbelievable awesome.  It has every thing that makes Batman awesome.  All the stunts and action scenes are ramped to the next level.  Of course I can forget to talk about the Joker.  The best Joker ever.  He played it like the Joker should be.  All the actors did the best job ever.  Maggie Gyllenhaal did a much better job than Kakie Holmes playing Rachel Dawes.  Aaron Eckart who plays Harvey Dent all so was great.  And this Two-Face makeup was crazy good.  They didn’t cheap out on the story.  They kept going till the whole story was told.

I so hope they make another one.

Best Batman movie.  A must watch and buy.

Wireless Router

Picked up a new D-Link WBR-1310 Wireless G Router the other day, from Future Shop for $30.  Which is a good price, since I paid all most $60 for the wired one I got about year and half ago.  Set up was a bit of a pain.  Not because I don’t know what I was doing.  It was the software that came with it.  I decided to fallow the steps one at a time.  It said it would only take 10 minutes.  Well it took more than 10mins and still didn’t let me log in.  It kept asking for the password and log in to my ISP.  But my IPS doesn’t use them.  And the software wouldn’t let skip or pick and other option.  So I was like nuts to this and log on to the router though a web borrower.   Had that up and running is seconds and had the router and wireless signal secure in minutes.   It works great.

On a side note. My neighbour could pick up the signal.  And he lives pretty far way with lots of trees in the way.

Midnight Club: Los Angeles Info and New Screens Shots

Gamepot.com posted some new info a Midnight Club: Los Angeles today.  It is sounding pretty good.  The new screens shots look good too. Here is an excerpt from the gamespot.com article.

“We got to see three different racing styles during our time with the game. The most prominent was the standard race, where you compete against four other racers through a series of checkpoints. We also played through a couple of red light races–one-on-one point-to-point races where the idea is to find the quickest route to the finish line. The final racing style we saw was the dynamic freeway race, where you compete against one other racer at speed on the motorways surrounding LA. The traffic on the freeway means that you have to weave much more than in the city centre, but some stretches do allow you to open up the throttle and get up a decent amount of speed.”

18th Atlantic Regional H.O.G. Rally

This past weekend or so (July 16-20th) was the 18th Atlantic Regional H.O.G rally.  Which took place in Cape Breton this year.  Ok, first off I don’t ride a Harley.  I ride a Yamaha XT225.   So  here is a funny story.  I was on my way into town to hand out with some friends and check out some of the rally events.  As I was riding in, six Harley’s pasted by me in the out side lane.  Then they had to slow down for cars turning.  I passed them.  They they crack the pipes as they pass me again.  They kept doing this every time they had to slow down.  Each time they would look over at an crack there pipes.  Funny has hell.  The best part is I got there before they did. LOL.
