Happy New Year

Want to wish every one a Happy New Year.  2012 was another great year.  Only a few more hours left then it will be a brand new year.  Looking forward to an even better 2013.  As for this blog, it has grown so much over the past five years.  It is hard to believe that I have been at this for five years and January will mark the start of the sixth.  Averaging over a 100 views a day.  Which is pretty good I thing for a random internet blog.  Want to thank all those that visit.  Hope you will return in 2013.

Top Gear Series Nineteen

Have some good and bad news about Top Gear series nineteen.  The good news first.  We are getting close to a new series of Top Gear.  The bad, now we have to wait to February 3, 2013.  It it is all most January now so not too far way.  According Wikipedia page.  Series nineteen will have nine episodes staring February 3 and ending March 31, 2013.  In other news the “Christmas special” will air in March.  On Wikipedia they have a note saying James May was on the show called The One Show.  He mentioned that it will air in March.  Found the clip > here or below.

Inside HBO’s Game Of Thrones Book

Received the book Inside HBO’s Game of Thrones for Christmas.  It is one of the nicest put together books I have every seen.  Full of big and colourful pictures.  Have only read the first 40 pages or so.  So far it is very interesting.  They start off talking to the guys that run the show.  How the got it made.  I was surprising to read how long it was in the works.   It all so has a nice breakdown on each character and the house the belong to.  So far I really enjoy reading this book.  Will be back with a review when I am done.

New Grand Theft Auto V Screens Shots

A few days back (December 24, 2012)  Rockstar Game’s gave us five new screens shots for Grand Theft Auto V.  They look pretty sweet.  They posted below or check out their blog post > here.  The ones I find most interesting is the submarine and shark.  They are saying a Spring 2013 release.  My guess is a March or April.   We are getting closer.  So there will be more info come and will be sharing as soon as I seen it.

  

 

Far Cry 3

Received a copy of Far Cry 3 as a gift.  From the videos and pictures I have seen it looked good.  But I was shocked how awesome it is.  There is so much to look at, so much to do.  It is easy to get distracted.  So far all that is in one small corner of the map.  The map its self is huge.  The world is one of the most amazing things I have seen in any game.  It feels alive.  There is all kinds of different wildlife ever were.   Some of them will attack you.  When playing the opening mission, which is a tutorial of shorts,  was heading up a path.  I kept hearing a hissing sound.   Looking around trying to see were it was coming from and bam it jumped at me.  Scared the shit out of me.  The animals do sever a another purpose as well.  There is a nice crafting system.  You use the different hides to improve things for your character.  Have put a few hours into this so far and have to say it is one of the best games I have every played.  Pretty sure it will win some game of the year awards.

Merry Boxing Day 2012

I hope everyone had a fun and safe Christmas.  Once again I had a very awesome one.  However I was a bit disappointed with myself.  For the first time I could not got back for seconds.  Did have a little extra dressing but that was it.  Then I had trouble getting dessert in.  Every thing was so good want to eat more but my gut said no.  How ever today is a new day and there are leftovers.  For all those out here have a very merry boxing day.

I want to wish every one and their families a Merry Christmas.  I hope every one has the best one ever.  Eat till you can’t eat any more.  That is all ways the best part.  There is all ways something about Christmas dinner where you have to go back for thirds.

The Muppet Christmas Carol

Still on the Christmas special watching kick.  Today check out The Muppet Christmas Carol.  Have not seen this one in a few years.  Still remember going to see then when it came out.  My sister took myself, brother and two cousins to the old movie theater in town.  Remember enjoying it very much.  To this day it still holds up for being a 20 year old movie.  This is the best full length Muppets movie ever made.  It has the right blend of comedy, story, music and charm.  If you have not seen this in years like me check it out.  Pretty sure it will be on TV as some point but time is running short.  Since today is the 23rd.

Red Green: The Wit & Wisdom TV Special

Back in October 2011 a bunch of us went to see Red Green when he was doing this Wit and Wisdom tour.  If you didn’t have the chance to see the show in person now you can, kind of.  Because tonight (December 22, 2012)  over on the Comedy Network at 9pm they are going to air an hour of the Wit & Wisdom tour.  Can’t wait to see it.  If you are a Red Green fan or just want a good laugh stop what ever you are doing and sit down and watch this.  In other Red Green news he is going on tour again in the Fall with an all new show.  Sadly he is not going to be here this time around (but here is hope).  Check out the tour page to see if he will be were you are.  It is a must see show
