State Of Play – February 2022

The last PlayStation State of Play was in October (2021).  There is a new one set to out February 2, 2022.  This one will be about Gran Turismo 7 running on the PlayStation 5.  From the blog post > here it will run about 30 minutes.  While I am not a fan of this series.  Am more into arcade style racers.  But will be watching this to see what they have to say.

The list of free games for PlayStation Plus members for February 2022 is out.  It is an interesting mix of game this time.  There is one I will be trying but will add the other to my library.  You can read the official blog post > here.  Then you can start downloading February 1, 2022.

Mafia Definitive Edition Hands On

A few posts back talked about picking up a copy of Mafia Definitive Edition.  Well gave the opening few missions a go.  First off the game looks great.  The 30’s/40’s design is refreshing to see.  There seems to lots of detail in the world.  Being an open world game you are bound to run into some glitches.  I did in first mission.  The guy I was driving in the taxi was stuck out the window.  It was know big deal just kind of funny.  Looking forward to see how the rest of the game plays out.

Titans Season 3 On Netflix

Season three of Titans has been on Netflix Canada since December (2021).  Now that I have finished watching season two of The Witcher decided this will be the next one to watch.  While I like the first two season over all.  Did have some problems with pacing and not make senses at times.  Am hoping that this third season will fix that.  As I am typing this have only watched one episode.  From that it seems to set a good tone.  Will be back once I seen all thirteen episodes.

Lord Huron – Time To Run

Time again for musical throwback Thursday.  The pick this week is Time To Run by Lord Huron.  It has been a few years since I have last listened to this awesome song.   It is off their 2012 album Lonesome Dreams.  First heard/seen this song played live at a online radio station.  However you can check out the official music video > here or below.

Mafia Definitive Edition

Have add another game to my PlayStation 4 collection.  The game is Mafia Definitive Edition.  Never got around to trying it when it was first out in 2002.  Do own and finished Mafia 3 years ago.  Seen some video clips of this when this remake came out and thought it looked interesting.  Now that is it going cheap, $30.00, had to get it.  As I am typing this (January 24, 2022) haven’t tired it yet.  Plan to on my next day off.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

It has been many years since I have last played The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.  Thinking about starting a new game.  Was planning on doing that when I finished watching the first season of The Witcher on Netflix but never got around to it.  Then I was going to hold off for the next gen update coming for the PS5 and Xbox Series.  However don’t think that will be happing any time soon.  Plus I still haven’t seen a PS5 in stores yet.  Now that I have finished watching season two of The Witcher it has been on my mind again.

A Christmas Story Christmas

It might be a bit last or really early depending on how you look at it.  My all time favourite movie, A Christmas Story, is getting a real sequel.  There have been other sequels and spin offs.  Like a Summer Story, A Christmas Story Live and A Christmas Story 2.  What is interesting about his new one called, A Christmas Story Christmas, is that the main actor who played Ralphie (Peter Billingsley) is coming back.  According to IMDB the plot is, “Follows Ralphie, now adult, who returns to the house on Cleveland street to give his kids a magical Christmas like the one he had as a child, reconnecting with childhood friends, and reconciling the passing of his Old Man.”  Will be keeping my eye on this.  It could be really great.

The Walking Dead Season 11 Part 2 Trailer

All ready made a post a few weeks back talking about season 11 the second part of The Walking Dead starting back soon.  February 20, 2022 is the day.  Talking about this again because AMC have put out a trailer.  Which you can see > here or below.  While the trailer is soon good and it looks like there will be all kinds of awesome.  It does kind of spoil somethings.  The show left of a cliffhannger with Maggi and Daryl in a big predicament.  So don’t watch the trailer if you don’t like spoilers.

DiRT 5 Another Update

Yet, another post talking about DiRT 5.  At this point have put in about seven hours.  While I like the game am starting to get a bit bored with it all ready.  Have been playing the career mode.  There is lot of variety with the vehicles.  However all the races seem to play out the same.  Have reach a point were the races become to tuff so I had to lower the difficultly.  Going to keep picking at it and only do a few races at a time.  Unlike there other DiRT games don’t feel compelled to keep going.
