Army Of The Dead Quick Review

Watched Army Of The Dead on the weekend.  Was very much looking forward to seeing this.  After watching was a bit underwhelmed.  Sure there is a lots of good things about it.  The action was top notch, all the actors did an awesome job and the funny bits were great.  The story has an interesting take on the zombies.  Which was nice.  It was just parts of the story and plot points we all have seen so many times takes away from it.  Over all I did like the movie and it’s well worth checking out.  Just can’t see myself watching it again.

PlayStation Plus June 2021 Game’s Line-up

The list of free games for PlayStation Plus members for June 2021 is out.  Like the last few months there will be one PlayStation 5 game and two for the PS4.  It is an interesting line up.  The games are not my cup of tea but will had to my library and any way.  You can read the official blog post > here.  Then start downloading on June 1, 2021.

Far Cry 6 Gameplay Reveal

Have some more awesome gaming news to share.  Yesterday (May 28, 2021) Ubisoft share some gameplay and features for Far Cry 6.  I am a huge fan of this series.  So will be getting a copy day one.  In the video > here or below we get a real good look at what the world is like and as well as what new about this game.  It looks beautiful.  Think the map will be really big with lots to explore.  They have add some funny weapons as well.  The CD launcher cracked me up.  At the end of the video the revealed when the game will be out, October 7, 2021.  Think the best part is it will be on PS4 as well.  That is what version I will be getting.

Horizon Forbidden West – State Of Play

Yesterday was May 27, 2021.  Sony put out a new State of Play on the game Horizon Forbidden West.  You can give that video a watch > here or below.  It runs about 19 minutes.  I must say the game looks amazing running on the PlayStation 5.  In my last post talking about this, I never got around to trying the first game.  Even though I own a copy.  Thinking now would be a good time to give it a go.

Petula Clark — Downtown

Time again for musical throwback Thursday.  Sticking with the 60’s theme again this week.  The pick is Downtown by Petula Clark.  There are other versions by other singers but think this one is the best.  This is off her 1965 album of the same name, Downtown.  You can give it a watch/listen > here or below. No Man’s Sky Expeditions Beachhead

Finished up the second Expeditions for No Man’s Sky, called Beachhead.  This one was much shorter than the first and a bit easier as well.  Think that is why it only lasted two weeks.  I did have fun playing for the most part.  Mostly complied to see what the big prize/unlock at the end would be.  Turns out it was a big surprise.  It was a cross over event with Mass Effect Legendary Edition.  You unlock the Normandy ship from that game.  Which can be used a a frigate.  Do think this was a cool idea.  However was hoping for something cooler.  May be the next expeditions will have something more useful.

State Of Play – Horizon Forbidden West

There is an new State of Play coming this Thursday (May 27, 2021).   This one will have a big focus on Horizon Forbidden West.  You can see the blog post > here.  They will be showing 14 minutes of new gameplay running on the PlayStation 5.  Am very much interesting in seeing what the game will be like.  I still haven’t gotten around to tying the first game even though I have a copy.  As for this state of play not sure if the will be showing else.  I guess we will find out in a few days.

Clarkson’s Farm – Trailer

If you are a fan of The Grand Tour and old Top Gear.  You might now that Jeremy Clarkson has been working on a new show about farming for awhile now for Amazon Prime.  Have some good news to share.  The show has a title, Clarkson’s Farm.  But wait there is a more, there is a trailer which you can see > here or below.  The best part is there is not much more of a wait.  June 11, 2021 is the day.  Not sure if all eight episodes will be out at once out every week.

The Walking Dead Season 11

We going to be seeing season eleven of The Walking Dead much soon than I thought we would.  There was been little videos popping up on their Facebook page with saying the show is in production.  Then at the end, says season eleven will start August 22, 2021.  I was guessing many be some time later in the fall or winter.  In other news, we have know for awhile this will be the last season and will have 24 episodes.  Have read theses will be broken into three, eight episode chunks.  Am very much looking forward to see how they are going to wrap all the stories up.

Jupiter’s Legacy Review

Have watched the first series of Jupiter’s Legacy.  Very much like what I seen.  A different take on a superhero world while still having elements we all know.  The show jumps between to times lines.  One in the 30’s and the other in now times.  Love the look of the 30’s.  Every thing is very detailed and sharp looking.  They even changed the aspect ratio when switching between the time lines.  As for the story it’s self.  While interesting, there are spots were it keeps repeating or becomes generic.  That being said there are some good twists as well.  Figured out one of the big twists before the last episode.  The show ends with a cliff-hanger.  So now we have to wait for a second series.  Which I think will be better because they would have worked out more of the kinks.   Over all enjoyed the show and recommend checking it out.
