Had to pick up a new DVD burner today (Aug 31, 2009). The burner that came with my computer stopped reading and writing DVD’s. It still read and writes CD’s just fine. But that’s no good. I have a bunch of stuff to get off my computer so CD’s just will not do. Picked a Sony DRU-V200S S-ATA from Future Shop. Had computer part, taken the old burner out and new one in with in minutes. I love the S-ATA much better than the old IDE set up.
Picked up Batman: Arkham Asylum yesterday (Aug 29, 2009) from Wal-Mart. I couldn’t past it up. The price was right. They had it for sale at $38.83. This is an awesome deal, most places wanted $60 or so. I remember seeing the Wal-Mart for that price think it was a one day thing. They had a pile of them. So if you are looking for a bran new game for a cheap price this is a good one to pick up. Not to sure how long this price will last.
Ok as for the game it is the best Batman game I have ever played. The controls are smooth, its easy to move around and the combat is not to complicated. I am about 6% or so into the game. Once I have gotten more into the game I will post a review.
I got to try the Xbox 360’s live arcade game, Trials HD last night. It has to be one of the best looking downloadable games I have seen. The goal is to ride a trails motorcycle though the level/puzzles with out crashing. Might sound simple, it is but isn’t at the same time. You do not steer. You try and keep the bike balanced by moving left or right and by using the throttle. It is really fun. Some of the later levels are just insane. It all most makes me want to buy an Xbox just for this game. If you own an Xbox 360 you need to check this game out. I do believe there is a demo.
Was so happy to try the DiRT 2 demo today (Aug 28, 2009). It looks 1000 times better than the first DiRT game and that game looked unreal. The set/option screens are nice and smooth like the first game up is set up like you are moving around an RV then going out side. The car look better and smash up better as well. The demo lets you play two races. One with the trophy truck and the other is a rally car. You can do these races online as well. September 8th is not far way now. Picking this game up for sure. I finished Call Of Juarez: Bound In Blood today (Aug 27, 2009). It is a good game but not great. The story is the biggest downer. It is very boring and has been done lots of times before. The other problem with the game are the loading screens. They happen way to much. Now for the good stuff. The games looks awesome. The game play is awesome as well. The weapons look and act like they should. The voice acting is top notch. It is not a long game. It took me a little of 7hrs to play though. How ever you can play two characters. So in theory that will double the play time.
If you are looking for a western game this is a good one. The loading screens are a pain but there is some fun to be had.

Found out about the website VirtualNES.com a few days ago. This website has a bunch of old Nintendo games that you can play right on their site. It looks like they have just about every game you might remember from back in the day. So if you remember the old NES you need to check this site out.
I have listen to a bunch of Bob Sinclar’s songs. A lot of them are really good. This videos are really good as well. The video for Rock This Party is funny. He blends his song with C + C Music Factory’s biggest hit. This song is a few years old now. The video is below. I all so like the song Together.
I was looking for a website that lets you make a “comic” out of your own pictures. I found a bunch of websites that give you objects to make a comic. That is fine but not what I was looking for. Then I came across PikiStrips.com. Being a web 2.0 site you can upload pictures and they give you all bunch of options to tweak your pictures. I made one to try it out.
Back in July I picked up The Dark Knight on Blu-ray. Got around to watching it today (Aug 23, 2009). Would have watched it sooner but back in July but my PS3 was not working right. Now that it is fixed and it was a storm day (hurricane Bill), I gave it a watch. I have to say that Blu-ray does make a big differences. The picture is nice and clear. If you still haven’t gotten around to watching the movie need to go and get it. One of the best movies of all time.
There is yet another DiRT 2 video out. The demo it out now for Xbox 360 but will not be out on the PS3 until Aug 27, 2009. Can’t wait to try it out. The full game will be out September 8, 2009. One good thing I read about the game is they have a much better online component this time around. The first DiRT game online was pretty crappy.
