Killzone 2 Demo

Just tried the Killzone 2 Demo today (Feb 27, 2009).  The full game is all so out Feb 27.   I know its a bit weird the demo came out here in North America Feb 26 a day before the full games comes out.  Any who I wanted to try the demo just to see how it was.  There is a lot of hype around this game and some times they don’t live up to the hype.  I have to say from the short demo it is pretty cool.  It looks great, the guns are hella right on and sound awesome.  I read some reviews saying the movement feels sluggish but I didn’t find that all.  I wasn’t a fan of the default controls.  You have to push the right analog stick in to zoom in and L1 was the malay.  That screwed me up.  I guess you can change that in the full game.  Just might have to pick this one up.

Dead Like Me: Life After Death Review

Just watched Dead Like Me: Life After Death.  His is a direct to DVD movie based off the TV show Dead Like Me.  I used and still do watch the TV show from time to time and love it.  The movie picks up five years after the show end.  Just like the show the movie is funny as hell.  They don’t hold back.  The dialog can be so funny or serious and the cast pull it off ever time.  Speaking of the cast they are so awesome at playing their crazy characters.  I hope they make another movie or start up the show again.  I read some were that the movie was made with the option for the show to be picked up again.

If you are a fan of the show you have to watch this movie.  If you have never even heard of the show you can still enjoy the movie.  The do a nice job of explaining what is going on.  I really enjoyed this movie its a must watch.

Quake Live

There is a new Quake game out.  It is called Quake Live, (the open beta started Feb 24, 2008).  What’s cool about this game its free to sign up and play but here is the kicker it totally web browser based.  The only thing you have to download is a plug in for the browser.  Once I heard about this I had to give it a try.  There is a  queue (waiting list) to get in because it is still in beta.  However I lucked out, I didn’t have to wait too long.  Only tried it for about half hour or so and I have to say it plays just like a retail game.  It is chalk full of options that surprised me.  I was thinking this is a browse based game so it must be pretty simple.  Boy I was wrong.  Everyone should check this game out.  Might have to wait a bit to get in but it is worth.

Futurama: Into The Wild Green Yonder Review

Just checked out Futurama: Into the Wild Green Yonder.  It is the fourth and final (may be) straight to DVD Futurama movie.  I have only seen three of them.  I forgot to watch number three, Bender’s Game.  so I’ll have to check that one out too.  This one was good.  It had all the Futurama humour that you come to expect.  Being a movie the animation is nice and clean.  If you are a Futurama fan you can’t go wrong watching  this or any of the other movies.  Don’t think it will bring in new fans because you don’t know the characters.  But that is all right, this was made for the fans any way.

If you are a Futurama fan go watch this now if you have not all ready.

RC Winter Wheeling: Two Drive

Here is one more RC video. The Mark has two rock crawlers now.  So he took both of them out.  The battery die on this new RC, which is a Tamiya with the CR-01 Chassis (The yellow one).   He decided to tow it.  This is what happened.

Futurama

There is a new Futurama movie coming out tomorrow (Feb 24, 2009).  It is called Futurama: Into the Wild Green Yonder.  I think this is the 3rd or 4th DVD movie.  This one should be good, the last ones were great.  I’ll yet you know how it once I get a change to see it.

Religulous Review

I’ll start off saying Religulous documentary with some comedy throw in.  It hosted/written by Bill Maher.  He is very funny and smart about it.  If you are heavy in to you religion/church I don’t think you will like the movie.  It can be a bit one side.  He doesn’t talk about what some good that came from religion.  How ever he does bring up lots of good points why religion is not what it is cracked up to be.  He talks to many different people of different religions so you get many perspectives.  I learned a few things which was nice.  Over all this is a great documentary.

This is not for every one.  But it is a great documentary and it can be funny too.  I learned a few things too.  Give it a rent.

USB Flash Drive

I picked up a new USB flash drive today.  They had a real good deal at Wal-Mart.  They have a 16 GB Duracell for $30.00.  Well in not really 16 GB its 14.9 GB but what ever.  All drives are like that they are never what they advertises.  They have come down in price a lot of the past few years.  I paid about $80 for the 64 MB one I bought about six years ago.  May be I should have bought two.

Fuel Update

Last month I told you about a new open world racing game coming out called Fuel.  There are some new screen shots and a new trailer out.  At the end of the trailer it says it is coming out in May.  Can’t wait, it looks hella right on. The Safety Dance

I finely watched the new Family Guy episode from Sunday night (Feb 15, 2009).  It was called Ocean’s Three and a Half.  There is one part were they are breaking in to a vault so they distract the party goes by getting the band to play The Safety Dance by a band called Men Without Hats.  I lost it, it was funny as hell.  For years friends would quote this song.  When I was in collage you would hear this song every now again.  The room would be quite then some one would blast the song.  Funny stuff.
