The Strangers Review

Being Halloween and all I decide I would watch a scary movie.  So I watched The Strangers.  Well it wasn’t very scary.  It was very predicable, it had the stander jump out scenes and a creepy on in a mask.  Well the mask is cool.  It is a potato sack.  The best thing about the movie is that it doesn’t give you much to go on why the bad guys were doing what they doing.  But if you are pay attention they give one reason why.

Not very scary.  Watch only if you are board.

The Life and Death of a Pumpkin

Can across this video while looking for pumpkin carving templates.  It is really well done and funny to boot.  It was made by the guys that make the Chad Vader videos. Which are all so very funny too. They are called Blame Society Productions.

Pumpkin Carving

Carved our Halloween pumpkin today.  Wanted to do something different this year.  So I download a bat template, but here was a snag.  My printer would not print.  I ended up drawing the bat freehand.  So that why it looks funny.  It turned out all right.  Better than the stander triangle eyes and evil smile.

Long Way Down Book Review

Finished reading The Long Way Down book last night.  This was any awesome read.  The DVD will not be out in North America until November 4, 2008.  With the book you get a lot more detail on what they saw on their trip.  Don’t want to get any thing way just in case you have not see the show.  They started off on John o’ Groats in Scotland and ended in Cape Town South Africa.  In total they went though 18 countries.

This a must read.  Pick it up today

Paintball Shootout 2: The Reckoning

Here is the video from the paintball game we had yesterday, (October 26, 2008).  I am happy how it turned out.  Even with only four of us we had a good time.  Lots of great shootouts.

Paintball October 26, 2008

We had a small game of paintball today.  Four of us played.  It was a good time even with a small group.  We had some good shoot outs.  Managed to get a video again this time.  As like before I will have to edit first.  Here are some pictures.

GTA IV Trophies

Looks like GTA IV is getting trophies on October 27, 2008.  You will have to start a new game to get the trophies.  There will be 51 in total.  You can check out the article here.  It is cool that some games are getting trophies.  How ever it is a pain that you have to start a new game to get them.  I didn’t mind with Uncharted but didn’t bother Burnout Paradise.

Resistance 2 Beta

A little while back I singed up to be in the Resistance 2 beta.  Well today I received an email giving me a code for the public beta.  I was like this is pretty cool.  As it was downloading, I went online to check out if any one had any info.  It looks like a lot of people got a code too.   It didn’t take to long to download.  I was shocked because it is about 2GB’s.  When I went to try it out, I kept getting errors.  The servers were jammed.  So after supper I tried again.  Tried a team deathmatch first.  That was pretty crazy.  I think it was 10 on 10.  The graphics have much improved over the first game.  Next I tried a co-op.  That was different.  The goal is to fight wave at wave of bad guys by working as a team.  I was the medic.  So I had to try and keep the team alive.  I didn’t do a too good of a job.  Had some guy yelling at me, lol.  I’ll have try it again when I have more time.

Finely Got Midnight Club: Los Angeles

Wal-Mart finely had Midnight Club: LA in today.  I only got to played an hour and half so far.  It looks great that’s for sure.   The map is huge.  And it seems a lot hard then the last game.  Or it could just me not being good at games.  There are police chase this time around.  When they first came after me, a pop-up saying out mover them and you can get away.  Well I tried for 7 minutes and ended up getting arrested.  The fine was $1,300.00, there goes all the money I had won.  To get around this I found a tip on a message board.  I’ll have to give it a try.

1. Pause the game and enter the Race Editor
2. Press “Select” to go into Layout mode
3. fly to where you want
4. exit the race editor.

I’ll have a full review once I had more time to play.

Still No Midnight Club: LA

So I went to Wal-Mart again today to see if they had Midnight Club: LA.  And they still don’t have it.  Which sucks.  Check out Future Shop’s website was well, they don’t have it either.  I know the game is out.  The website says it out,  there are ads on TV and GameSpot.com has there review up.  They say it is frustrating and hard, but still a good game.  The last game were like that too.  If they don’t have it tomorrow, just might have to order it online.
