Robocop Statue – Painting

Has been awhile since I have worked on the Robocop statue, > here at Printables.com.   The post on this talked about how it is all glue together and primed.  Now I have two coats of sliver paint on.  Am happy with how that went.  Now need to move on the the black paint parts of the model.  Thinking that will take two or three coats.  Still not sure how I am going to paint the face yet.  Need to look into seeing if there is flesh colour acrylic or how to make your own.  Am hoping to get this finished over my vacation.

Stranger Things 2D Wall Art

Have a weeks vacation.  So my plan is to try an 3D print something everyday.  Thinking next am going to try this > here, Stranger Things 2D Wall Art over at Printables.com.  Am thinking if I can scale it right.  It might be able to fit inside a picture frame.  If so that would be very easy to display.  Will be back with update if works out or not.

The Grand Tour Presents: A Scandi Flick Trailer

Has been a very long time since there has been a The Grand Tour special.  That last one was out in December (2021).  Knew they were working on another but was guessing that would be out this December.  Well I was wrong.  The other day (August 25, 2022) they put out a trailer for the special they are calling, The Grand Tour Presents: A Scandi Flick.  You can see that > here or below.  It will be out September 16, 2022.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin Received

A few post back talked about ordering a copy of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin in hardcover.  Not sure if there will be a paperback but really wanted to read this story.  Which started as a five issue storyline where in the future there only one Turtle left.   Now it’s all in one book.  It only took about four days to get here.  Going to put a side the book I was reading to jump into this.  Will  be back with a review at some point.

Grand Theft Auto: 3 – The Definitive Edition

Am about half way thought the story in GTA 3 part of the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition.  Really like that they add modern controls and some other features to the game.  Does make it much better to play.  As for the game kind forgot about all the time limit missions.  Some are not too bad.  Others are a really pain.  So far only had to look up how-to for two missions.  As much I as like this game, once I finish the story am going to move on to the next game.   Don’t plan to do all the side stuff right now, may be at a later date.

The Sandman

Have watched the two episdoes of The Sandman on Netflix.  Did like what I have seen.  Have known about the comic this is based off but never got around to reading any.   When I seen the trailer for the show awhile back was thinking it might be hard to follow along.  Happy to say don’t think that will be a problem since they did explain things along the way.  Going to keep with the show.  Will be back with a review at some point.

Haddaway – What Is Love

That time again, musical throwback Thursday.  Am going with a 90’s dance classic this week.   It is What Is Love by Haddaway.  This is a classic for sure.  It comes over the radio at work all the time.  Think everyone knows the song.  It is off his 1993 album called The Album.  You can give this music video a watch/listen > here or below.

Minisforum UM580

For a long time now have wanted to get a mini PC.  Seen some videos of the upcoming Minisforum UM560.  That it was super cool and had the features I liked.  In my last posting talking about this was very much on the fence.  Thought about getting a Steam Deck but the wait list is far too long.  All so can’t get my hands on a PS5, which I was planning to buy a birthday gift to myself.  Well made up my mind and ordered a Minisforum UM580.  This is a bit more powerful than the UM560.  That model ships at the end of August.  The one I got ships at the end of September (2022).  So my guess it will be here some time in October.  All so even with the conversion of Canadian to US money it was still cheaper than a the middle model of the Steam Deck.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin

In early July (2022) the hardcover of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin came out.  Was very much looking forward to reading this.  Then kind of forgot about it.  When I did, it was sold out.  Luckily I looked again at Amazon.ca. > here a few days ago and it was back in stock.  So ordered one.  Should be in my hands some time next week.  Have been trying to avoid spoilers.  Which it hard to do with this storyline being so popular.

Claude 3D Model Update

A few posts back talked about a Claude 3D model > here from Thingiverse.  Printed off a scaled down version to see how it would turn out with the supports.  Was happy to see it turned out great.  So scaled it up and printed that version.  Being bigger you can see more detail.  My plan now is to paint it.  That will be easy until it comes time to paint his face.  Need to get my hands on some flesh colour paint.
