Halloween is today. While I am not a big fan. It is still a great time to watch movies. Have not seen Shaun of the Dead in years. This comedy zombie movie is so much better than so may “scary” zombie movies. It is ten years old this year and it holds up very well. Even when you see them using cell phones. Not sure how many times I have seen this but it makes me laugh every time. If you have never seen this you are miss out on a good time.

For this weeks musical throwback Thursday picked the song Disco Lies by Moby. Should say it is Disco Lies (Freemasons Remix) which is a pretty awesome remix. The song is off his 2008 album Last Night. The video for the song is pretty funny. It has a pimp chicken going after a fake KFC bad guy. While there is a 70’s style singer in a disco singing the song. Check out the video > here or below.
Not sure how many people have yet seen the trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron. As I am typing this (October 26, 2014) the trailer has only been on YouTube for three days and has watched over 41 million times. The first Avengers movie was awesome. This second one looks even better. Looks like there is going to be lots of conflict between them. Check the trailer > here or below.
Today (October 28, 2014) this is a new firmware update for the PlayStation 4. This 2.00 update called Masamune brings all kinds of new features to the PS4. You will now be able to play MP3 from a USB drive without the music stopping. So you can play your music over the game audio or what ever you are doing. We be able to upload video straight to YouTube now. There will all so be new themes. So you can change how the “desktop” looks. How ever the coolest feature is called Share Play. A simple explanation. You are playing a game and want your friend to see what you are doing. Your press the share button on the controller, go though the menus and you friend can see what you see on your TV. Then at any point you can pass the virtual controller. So now your friend is playing your game on their TV. Another option is. Lets say you are playing a sports game which is two player. You can set it up so that your friend is playing the game you own on your TV while the are streaming it to theirs. All most like playing like there are in the room with you. All this sounds pretty cool. But my guess it is not going to work right out of the gate. Will give it a try but now it will be a work in progress. Goo news. There is now a trailer out for the Corner Gas: The Movie. Which you can see > here or below. There is other news as well. The movie will only be in theatres for five days. December 3 to 7, 2014. Which is only a very short time. That is because it will be airing on TV in December as well. Then it will be out on DVD and Blu-ray on December 16, 2014. Can’t wait to see this movie. Plan to see it in theaters and buy the Blu-ray the day it comes out. The plot of the movie (from Amazon.ca),

Just found out there is new DLC out for Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor. Which is called The Power of Shadow bundle. The best part is, it’s free. Not ever often free DLC comes out for games. This DLC lets you play as The Black Hand. There are all so three new Epic Runes you can get.
Not sure if you have to finish the game or not play the Black Hand. Am still not far into the game yet. Still haven’t made it to the second map yet. It is a very gun game. Well worth the money.
Finished reading The Simpsons Family History. The book is big and full of pictures. All most like one of those coffee table book. If you are a Simpsons fan you more than likely know the story on how Homer and Marge met. Most of the book covers this. It puts everything in chronological order. Over the years the show would have different backstories of how Homer’s and Marge’s relationship played out before they had Bart and got married. So you will see old episode pictures mixed in with newer HD ones. With quotes from the shows.
While the book is nice to look at there is not much content in there. There are lots of pictures and quotes from the show. Just not much else. If you are looking for more behind the scenes or info on the show itself this is not the book. As you can guess by the title. It tells the story of how Homer and Marge met, had kids and got married. The book is nice but only for the die hard Simpsons fan. Wait for it to go on sale not worth the full price of $40.00.

Yesterday (October 23, 2014) while riding my Yamaha XT225 home from work. Just got off the highway. Going down the road the motorcycle started to feel like there was some thing wrong. First though it was the front tire. Slowed down a bit. One of the turns was going up. So slowed down some more. Dropped three gears, made the right turn. Then gave a bit of gas once the turn was done. The back tire kick out all most making me crash. Put my foot out to stop myself from falling.
Got off the bike to see what hell was going on. Seen that the back tire was loosing air. Slowly limped the motorcycle home. Check the tire over to see there was a nail or some type of metal sticking out of it. Was too late to call the motorcycle shop. Called them first thing in the morning.
Filled the tire up with air. Had my father follow behind me with the air compressor. Pulled over three time to fill it with air. It’s a bit scary riding with a tire going flat while it was raining super heavy . Made it to the shop. A few hours later got a call from them saying it was fix. They put a new tube in the tire. When I got there to pay and take the motorcycle home. He showed me the piece of metal what was in the tire. It was about three inches long. Should have kept to share a picture of it. This has been my first flat tire. Hope it doesn’t happen again.
Ever musical throwback Thursday try to come up with a different style of song. This week is The Darkness song I Believe In A Thing Called Love. This was a very big hit back in 2003. The song is off their first album, Permission to Land. What is great about this is not only is the song catchy but all so the way they make fun of the 80’s hair bands. Last week went back to see if I could find more of the Lego Simpsons Minifigures. Seen that they had a bunch more. So this time bought six. Would like to see if I can get all sixteen. Sure will end up with doubles but can give them to friends. This might seem like a bit of money to spend. But they look cool and fun to collect. This time around out of the six I bought only got one new one, Apu. Ended up with three more Krusty the Clown’s, Nelson Muntz and a Maggie Simpson.
[Upadate] Went back again today (October 22, 2014) to see if there were any more. Sadly there was none to be found. Will keep my eye out but think once they sold them all that was it.
