Tears For Fears – Shout

Once again it is musical throwback Thursday.  The pick this time is is another 80’s classic Shout by Tears For Fears.  It is off their 1985 album Songs from the Big Chair.  While it does have that 80’s sound to it.  Think it still very enjoyable today.  You can give it a listen > here or below.

Lionel Richie – Dancing On The Ceiling

That day of the week again, musical throwback Thursday.   The pick this time is Dancing on the Ceiling by Lionel Richie.  This is off this 1986 album of the same name, Dancing on the Ceiling.  Can remember hearing this all the time.  But most recently used in the ending credits of a Bob’s Burgers episode.  You can give it a listen > here or below.

The Turtles – Happy Together

Once again it is musical throwback Thursday.  The pick this time is Happy Together by The Turtles.  This is a very famous song from the 60’s and as been used in lots of shows and movies.  It is off their 1967 album of the same name, Happy Together.  You can give it a listen > here or below.

Electric Light Orchestra – Mr. Blue Sky

That day of the week again, musical throwback Thursday.  The pick this time is Mr. Blue Sky by Electric Light Orchestra.  This very famous song has bee used in many TV shows and movies over the years.  It is off their 1977 album Out of the Blue.  This is pretty much a timeless classic.  You can give it a listen > here or below.

Keane – Somewhere Only We Know

Once again it is musical throwback Thursday.   The pick this time is Somewhere Only We Know by Keane.  Can remember this being a big hit when it came out.  The song is off their 2004 album Hopes and Fears.  I think it holds up really well.  You can see/listen > here or below.

Three Dog Night – One

That day of the week again, musical throwback Thursday.  The pick this time is One by Three Dog Night.  You might not know their name but I can guarantee you have heard many of their songs.  While this is a cover version it still pretty much know as theirs.  It is off their 1969 album Three Dog Night.  You can give it a listen > here or below.

Philip Glass – Mishima/Closing

Once again it is musical throwback Thursday.  The pick this week is Mishima/Closing by Philip Glass.   The song is from the movie soundtrack Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters.  This music has been used in other movies and TV.  That is where I heard it first.  It was use in the 2022 Christmas episode of Bob’s Burgers.  That was on the the best TV episodes every made not just animated shows either.  You can give the Kronos Quartet version a listen > here or below.

Iggy Pop – The Passenger

That day of the week again, musical throwback Thursday.  The pick this time is The Passenger by Iggy Pop.  The song is off his 1977 album Lust for Life.  Have heard this song many times over the years.  As it has been use in many TV shows, movies and games.  Didn’t realize this was an Iggy Pop song until writing this post.  You can give it a listen > here or below.

The Heavy – Short Change Hero

Once again it is musical throwback Thursday.  The pick this time is Short Change Hero by The Heavy.  First heard this song when it was used in Boarderlands 2.  Most recently in The Umbrella Academy.  It is off their 2009 album The House That Dirt Built.  Think it’s a great song.  You can it a listen > here over below.

KISS – I Was Made For Lovin’ You

That day of the week again, musical throwback Thursday.  The pick this time is I Was Made For Lovin’ You by KISS.  While I am not a big fan of their work.  However this song is a classic for sure.  It is off their 1979 album Dynasty.   Am sure just about everyone has heard this song at some point.  If not or want to again.  You can > here or below.
