Dirty Vegas – Days Go By

Time again for musical throwback Thursday.  This weeks song is  Days Go By from Dirty Vegas.  The song is off their 2001 album called Dirty Vegas.  This is one of my all time favourites.  I can still remember hearing it for the first time.  Every time I play GTA 5 and this song comes on I stop and listen.  Not sure how long the real music video will stay up on YouTube.  Which you can see > here or below.  It not the best but it’s better some of them on YouTube.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Patch 1.22

The last day of May (2016) there was a new patch out for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, 1.20.  Which I thought it would be the last one out because they just put out the very last bit of DLC for the game.  Well the other day, June 20, 2016 they put out 1.22 patch.  You can read the patch notes > here.  It is a bit over three pages log.  Did a quick read though.  The only thing I came across that I can see that I hard a problem with was, when body parts would get suspended in mid-air after an enemy exploded.

A while back started to play from the begin again.  My goal is to see if I can finish it before No Man’s Sky comes out.  So far played over 40 hours.  Had fun the whole time.  This is an awesome game.

Game Of Thrones: Season Six Review

Sadly season six of Game of Thrones ended this past Sunday (June 26, 2016).  Say this every time but each season is better than the last.  So many little and big things happened that changes the way the stories unfold.  Leaves you guesting what will happen next or did that just happen moments.  The build up to the last two episodes was great.  These last two are the best TV I have ever seen.

The whole season as amazing.  However the last two are what makes this show the best.  In episode nine has the by far the best big battle scene that puts every big budget movie to shame.  Then episode ten changes everything.  It is the most beautifully shot.  The whole open scenes which has the most awesome musical score as you on the edge of your seat.   Can’t wait to see the fallout and what crazy new moments they will have next season.

Raspberry Pi 3 Kit

My Raspberry Pi 3 kit came in the mail today.  Am very excited.  Ordered it back on June 20, 2016.  So look about a week to get here.  While I was wait have be going over how to set up RetroPie.   This software turns the Pi into an emulation game system.  Below you can see some pictures of what it looks like.   Will keep posting updates on who it is going with the setup.

 

 

 

 

PlayStation Plus Renewal

A few days back while play a game. Receive a pop notice from PlayStation, saying PlayStation Plus membership would be up in seven days. Unlike last year when I wait to the last minute. This time picked up a new card the next day at work. You can buy these cards pretty much any were now. I know $50 seems like a lot but it covers a full year. The perks it gives is well worth the money. This past year there has been may awesome games free for members.

Ordered A Raspberry Pi 3

Back in May (2016) made a post talking about the The Raspberry Pi 3.  This is a small computer that can fit in your palm of you hand.  There is all kinds of cool projects and things you can do with them.  The thing that made interested was that you can turn it into a emulation game system.  There is an whole OS/program thing called RetroPie.  Which is designed just for the Raspberry Pi’s.  Should have mine some time next week.  Will be taking pictures and updates posts on everything is going.  Ordered a kit from Amazon.ca > here.

PlayStation Store Flash Sale June 2016

Another week which brings a flash sale to the PlayStation Store.   Last week they had a best of E3 sale.  This one they are calling save up to 80 percent on bingeworthy game.  There is a few big AAA games in there.  Some of which I all ready own like Batman: Arkham Knight and Mad Max.  Which are awesome games well with the sale price.  They is all lots of smaller games as well.  You can see if there is any thing you might want > here.  The sale runs from June 24 to the 27, 2016.

Green Jelly – Three Little Pigs

Time for something very different for this musical throwback Thursday.  The song this time is Three Little Pigs by Green Jelly.  If you grew up in the 90’s you might remember this.  It is a heavy metal re-telling fable Three Little Pigs with a comedy twist.  I can remember for weeks this song was played all the time on the radio and would hear it at school.  You can see it > here or below.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows Review

It is a return to form with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows.  This movie was so much of an improvement over the first one.  It felt like a real Turtles movie.  The biggest changes over the first was they made it a lot more fun.  Having lots of characters from their universe made all the difference.  At first wasn’t a big fan of who the made the Turtles looked.   However it does grown on you.  They do look better this time around.  What I liked most about the movie was how they worked in little hints and bits from the past movies and cartoon shows.

If you are a Ninja Turtles fan like myself it is a must watch.  They got it right this time around.  Over all any one can enjoy this movie.  The story moves fast but you are not left confused.   Sure there are lots of movie tropes we all have seen way too much.  On the plus side this was very fun and entertaining.  The very best thing about it is, The Turtles acted they way they should.  Had a smile on my face all the way though.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance At E3 2016

Have talked about the game Kingdom Come: Deliverance a few times before.  First heard about this game back in 2014.  There have been bits of news over the years.  Still have know idea when the full game is coming out.  There is a beta version for PC.  They do say it will be on PS4 and Xbox One.  Talking about this again.  Because that this years E3 (2016) one of the game makers was at the GameSpot stage talking about it.  The is some new video of the game running as well.  Have to say it looks pretty awesome.  As am typing this (June 16, 2016) GameSpot has not uploaded it to YouTube yet.  However you can see the interview > here.   If or when they do upload it to YouTube will embed that below.
