That day of the week again, musical throwback Thursday.  The pick this time is I’m on My Way by The Proclaimers.  Can remember this be on the radio every morning getting ready for school.  How ever this past weekend Shrek was on TV.  So that is why I have picked it.  The song if off their 1988 album Sunshine on Leith.  You can give it a listen > here or below.

Batman White Knight Red Edition

A few days ago took  trip to the local comic book store.  Haven’t been there in a few years.  While looking at the action figures.  There were many I would have like to get but they were way too much money.  Then cam across the a Batman from the White Knight comic series.  The best part it was on sale for $13.00.  That is a great deal for a McFarland Toys figure.  It is the Batman White Knight Red Edition.  I think it looks pretty cool.

Quake II

A few posts back talked about Quake II and how they upgraded and added stuff.  All so talked about maybe getting a copy for PC.  Well I did.  Picked up a Steam card after work.  Then bought it that night.  Put in on my mini PC an it runs awesome.  1080P at 75FPS (that is how high my monitor can go).  It even works great with my PS4 controller.  The next game night will be trying out some co-op spit screen.

PlayStation Logo 3D Model Another Update

Have another update on the PlayStation Logo model over at Printables.com  > here I have been working one.  All the parts are printed and painted.  However when I was sanding down the stand, broke off one of the pegs.  Glued that back on.  Going to let that set for a day before gluing on the other parts on to it.  Want to see if it holds up all right.  If not will have to print another stand.

The Electric Tea Light UFO

A few posts back talked about the tea light UFO 3D model over at Printables.com > here.  Was going to print some other projects first but this one jumped to the front of the line.  Mostly because it’s supper cool and seems easy to print.  If it turns out ok but scale it up a bit.  When it is done and painted will post some pictures.

Quake II – Official Trailer

Forgot to talk about this but there is a new version of Quake II out.  You can see the trailer > here or below.  They seem to have done an awesome job of add new features and content.  Like the fact they add four player couch co-op.  As well as cross play.  Am very temped to buy a copy.  Over on Steam it’s about $14.00.  Haven’t looked on the PlayStation store let.  But if I do get a copy it will be for PC since I can’ take it to game nights.

No Man’s Sky Echoes Update Trailer

There now is a massive new update out for No Man’s Sky.  it was out yesterday (August 24, 2023).  This one is called Echoes you can read all of what it adds > here.  This has to be the biggest one whey have done yet.  One thing that had me happy was you can now salvage multi tools.  Some time next week a new expedition will start called, Voyagers.  Will be playing that for sure.  You can check out the Echoes trailer > here or below.

Cheap Trick – I Want You to Want Me

Once again it is musical throwback Thursday.  The pick this time is I Want You to Want Me by Cheap Trick.  Still hear version of this song today.  It is first on their 1977 album In Color.  However the one I picked is off their live album Cheap Trick at Budokan.  It is played at a much faster pace.  You can give it a listen > here or below.

Palia Open Beta Hands On

Have played a bit more the the open beta for Palia.  There is a lot to like about this game as well as some changes that need to be done.  Like the world and movement.  The collecting and crafting is fine.  Don’t like how some of the gardening works.  The main thing I don’t like is how long it takes for the machines to prosses items.  Do know as you play more it unlocks better ones.  However the basic saw mill takes one real time minute to cut one board.  You need 100 to start crafting your house.  Am sure the devs will read all the feedback and make changes.

Elegoo PLA Filament Arrived

The Elegoo PLA Filament I ordered off Amazon.ca > here has arrived.  Well it did a few days ago but haven’t gotten around to getting the the post office.  Didn’t take very long to ship.  Just put on last spool of the other brand on the printer.  So not to sure when I will get around to trying it.  When I do and like it.  Will most likely switch over to it full time.  Just because the price it right.
