VSV (Variable Support Vehicle) mkII – 3D Model

Was watching some 3D model videos on YouTube.  The guy showed off this > here over at Printables.com.   It’s called Variable Support Vehicle (VSV) mkII.  It is designed to be the same scale as the G.I. Joe figures from when I was a kid.  Think it’s pretty cool.  So going to  give it a try.  The only hard part will be the tires.  Don’t have any TPU filament.  Plus my printer can use it any way.

Trophy Project – Another Update

Have another update on the trophy project.  That reads, outstanding achievement in the field of excellence.  Have the face plates painted.  Used gesso for primer on those parts.  Must say the turned out good.  A few days ago we had some nice weather.  So managed to get out side and prime the biggest part with grey primer.  Now the next step is to paint that.  Then glue all the parts together.  The model I am using is > here over at Printables.com.

Sweet Tooth Kit Card – Update

Have and update on the 3D model Sweet Tooth Kit Card found over at MakerWorld.com.  Decided that I would start with the biggest part first.  This would the the side panels.  A few layers in, one side started to lift.  So cancelled the print.  All ways had trouble with one side of the build plate.  Got thinking many be I can split that part into two.  Did that with Tinkercad.  Next day off going to try again.

Sweet Tooth Kit Card

Thinking I am going to put all my 3D printing projects on hold until I make this > here over at MakerWorld.com.  It is a Sweet Tooth kit card.  Back in the PlayStation days rented this first game and my brother owned the second game.  We played many hours of that.  This model is pretty much like how you can buy a model off a shelf.  There are six plates that need to be printed.  The person designed it to be use with an AMS.  Don’t have one of those.  So will print all the parts and them prime for painting.  If it turns out good.  Might try to scale it up.

3 Body Problem – Framed – 3D Model

Really like the show 3 Body Problem, which is on Netflix, a lot.  So took a look over at Printables.com to see if there were any models related to this.  There was only a few.  The one > here caught my eye.  It’s a simple and easy to print/paint.  Scaled it down to 80%.  This sped up the print time.  All I have to do now is paint the middle white.

Vogland Castle Dice Tower

Have seen another 3D model over at Printables.com I would like to print.  It is a castle dice tower > here.  While I don’t play board games or games that use dice.  Think it is a super cool model.  The best part it is support free, broken up in four main parts.  With two choices of tray.  Think I will pint this off soon.  Then when the weather gets better this hit with some primer and leave it like that.

Deck Box 3D Model

It was back in January (2024) that I modified and printed a card deck box > here over at Thiniverse.com.  Well found a different one over at MakerWorld.com, > here.  This one has a build in hinge and a spot to put a card in the front to display.  Thought it was cool so game it a download and print.  Took about 20 hours.  It turned out prefect.  There is a all so a spot to install magnets to help keep it closed.

Leonardo -TMNT Rubber Duckie

Have came across another Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3D Model I would like to print.  What makes these ones standout is they are in the shape of a rubber duckies.  They are made by Chelsey Creates Things found > here over at Thangs.com.  For course I am going to try out the Leonardo one first found > here.

Trophy Project – Update

The trophy project I am working on is going to read, outstanding achievement in the field of excellence, award.  Have all the parts printed now.  Next up is to remove supports and do some light sanding.  After that, it’s time for priming.  Hoping I will get a good day to do that out side.  Then I can start painting.  Well all that is done will take some pictures.  The model I am using is > here over at Printables.com.

Knitted Batman And Joker 3D Models

Seen some more models to add to my list over at Maker World.com.  This time there are two.  A Batman > here and Joker > here.  The models are designed to look like they were knitted in wool.  Think they look awesome.  Not sure who easy they will be to paint but going to give it a try at some point.  Have such a long list of projects.  Need to buy more filament.
