Test Drive Unlimited 2

Looking forward to the game Test Drive Unlimited 2, which will be out February 8, 2011.  It has been a long while since I picked up a racing game.  This one looks and sounds great.  One downer is there is no motorcycles this time around.  How ever read some there they might bad add in a DLC pack.  Over on their Facebook page there is a list of the cars.  I think I will be picking the one up.  Might just wait to some of the reviews are out first.  It is not that I buy game on the score they get.  Like to see the pro and cons.

Z-Type

A friend showed me this great web game called Z-Type.  It was made by one guy using the program called Impact.  This is a pretty slick.  I can see it suck away of many hours of people that work on computers.  It is like an old school space shoot with a twist.  Which is to shoot you have to type out the words that are over the targets you have to hit.  It helps if you know how to type to play.  Then again this might be a good tool to teach people how to type.

Shakira – She Wolf

I must be living under a rock.  Then again I don’t listen to the radio so I have been missing out on the song She Wolf by Shakira.   When I heard the song didn’t know who it was buy liked it.  Listened to it again the you can hear that it is a Shakira song.  Looked up the video on YouTube and wow.  Not sure what this isn’t an adults only video, lol.  Not complaining, just saying.  Watch if for your self.

Next Generation Portable

Yesterday (Jan 27, 2011) Sony released info on their new handheld.  It is code named Sony PlayStation NGP (Next Generation Portable).  You can read all the spec’s > here.  Have to say it does look very cool.  It has two analog sticks so that will make a lot of people happy.  It looks a lot like the PSP but a slicker.  Have know idea how much it will cost but my guest it will be a lot, may be $300.

Bulletstorm Demo

Gave the Bulletstorm demo a try.  If you seen any of the trailers it looks exciting, may be even some fun.  Well I didn’t have any fun.  It was boring.  It might have a few new tricks added to a FPS but it is not fun.  From the demo it felt like a standard closed in corridor FPS sprinkled with some over the top stuff.  I do enjoy a good FPS but will not be picking this one up.  It seems like a one trick pony.

Scott Pilgrim Boxset

Finely got Scott Pilgrim’s Precious Little Boxset yesterday.  Which I pre-ordered back in November.   Loved the movie, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World so much I had to check out the graphic novels which it is based on.  It was a very good deal.  Got free shipping and with tax it came to $49.99.  At the local bookstore they wanted $90.00 plus tax.  So it was well worth the wait.  If you are interested you can visit the Scott Pilgrim website to see what the the books look like.

How To Do Everything: Book Review

What I am talking about is the newest book from Red Green.  The book is titled How to do Everything: From the Man who Should Know: Red Green.  All ways and still do enjoy the Red Green TV show.  This past Christmas I received the book as a gift.  Going to start writing a review and realized today I Jan 25, 2011.  So a month a go I got this book and finished reading it.  That has to be a new record for me.  Do enjoy reading but take for ever to finish a book since I don’t read ever day or hours on end.  So this must show that this is a good book.

Quick break down.  This is a great book with lots of laughs.  If you are any type of Red Green fan you should at lest check it out.  If you are a die hard fan just buy it.  Most of the subjects in the book are aimed at middle age handymen, which I am not, are still funny to read.

Motorcycle Withdrawal

I seem to be going though some bad motorcycle withdrawal this year.  Other years it wasn’t too bad.  Have been dreaming about riding all most every night.  Have been going to all the websites looking up the 2011 models.  All so ended up buying two motorcycle magazines.  Still want to buy a BMW.  Want the G650GS.  Love the look of the bike.  It bigger than my Yamaha XT225 but sill a single cylinder like the XT.  Compared to other bikes the price is not bad, MSRP $8,750.00.  Some day I will a have one.   The video below is a slide show of the 2011 BMW G650GS.  This bike is so sweet looking.  (Just mute the song, lol).

Top Gear Series Sixteen

Series sixteen of Top Gear starts for starts up again this coming Sunday (Jan 23, 2011).  Have been looking so forward to new episodes.  I do believe there will be six episodes.  From the preview (which is below) looks like another great series.  I keep saying it and still will.  This is the best show on TV.
