Got stuck riding in the rain today on my way home from work. This is the first time this year were I got hit with a big rain storm. Have ridden in worst. But I am hear to talk about the new helmet I got back in July, a Bell Arrow Eddie. This helmet was so much better in the rain than my old one. First off the water beaded off the visor so nice. Didn’t have to wipe it off at all. Another plus is I couldn’t hear the rain hit the top of the helmet. Unlike my old one. Which made really annoying sound when the rain it it. Very impressed with this new helmet. If you are looking for a new one. Check out the Bell Arrow line.

This time I had my new rain suit. Which worked great. The scary part of the ride home was the wind. The wind gusts were around 60km/h. I have ridden a bit of high wind before. But this time it was different. The wind was pretty much knocking me off my bike. When I slowed down to make a left hand turn I had to stop for on coming traffic. The wind pushed me so hard I ended up being moved about 5 feet to the right and all most falling off. It pretty freaky and scary at the same time. It happed two more times. Might have to put weights on my bike or become fat lol.

I knew it was going to rain. I was just hoping it would wait till I got home. How ever the powers that be wanted me to stay an extra hour at work. So when that hour was up. I got my stuff together and headed towards the door. A co-worker said you might want to wait a bit. I was like why? She said take a look. I looked out the window. All I could see was a sheet of white. I have not seen rain like that in a long time. Once it slowed down I head out. The parking lot was flooded. The time I got home I was drenched. I don’t think I have ever been that wet. It was so bad, once I got off bike at home, a puddle of water fell of my lap when I stood up. Crazy.
