The Batman Blu-ray

On May 24, 2002 the Blu-ray for The Batman was out.  Didn’t buy a copy on that day.  Wasn’t going to make a special trip just to buy one thing.  So picked up a copy a few days later after work.  My plan is to watch it on the weekend.  Need to set a good chuck of time to watch.  According the box it all most three hours long.  Then there is the special features.  Very much looking forward to seeing this.

Back in March (2022) read that The Batman Blu-ray would be out some time in June.  Happy to say that was wrong because it is a bit sooner than that.  It will be out on May 24, 2022.  Like all the posts I made about this movie is, I can’t wait to see it.  It is on HBO Max and Crave in Canada for streaming.  All so seen it for rent on YouTube/Google Movies.  Was curious to see what the renting price was, $25.00.  That seems a bit too high for a rental.  When you can wait a few weeks and buy it for $27.00.

The Batman Blu-ray

While the The Batman movie is still in theatres.  Got thinking about when it might come to disc.  Most times they don’t but the info out to after it leaves theaters.  Looked it up for fun any way.  From what I have been reading on real sites like this one > here.  The movie might be out this June for home media.  Hope this is true but time will tell.  Really want to see this because as you may know I am a big Batman fan.

LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes – Justice League: Attack of the Legion Of Doom! Review

Do own the last two LEGO DC movie and liked them very much.  But decided to rent LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes – Justice League: Attack of the Legion of Doom! instead of buying a copy.  Each time they make one of these it looks better than the one before it.  This one is no different.  It look amazing.  The detail in the characters make them look like real LEGO plastic.  All so like the other the movie is aimed at a younger set.  So there are jokes and a lot of puns.  Which work better in this movie than the last one.

The story is your standard super hero fair.  The bad trick the good guys so they can take over the world.  One of the good guys figures out the plot and must save the rest of the heroes.  So in turn they all can take down the bag guys.  This is done really well with lots of humour.  Young and old can enjoy this movie.  It is much better than last two.  Well worth the rent.

LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes – Justice League: Attack of the Legion Of Doom!

There is a new LEGO and DC Comics animated movie in the works.  Which will be out soon.  Which continues the use of the very long titles,  LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes – Justice League: Attack of the Legion of Doom!.  As the title says it will have the Justice League  taking on the Legion of Doom.  There is not much info out yet.  Other than a trailer which you can see > here or below and when it will be out, August 25, 2015.  As I am typing this (May 31) there is now listing on IMDB or Wikipedia yet.  Did enjoy the other two movies in this line.  So I will be picking up a copy of this.

Lego: DC Comics Super Heroes: Justice League vs Bizarro League Review

The movie has a really long name, Lego DC Comics Super Heroes: Justice League vs Bizarro League.  Not sure why it needs such a long title.  How ever don’t let that stop you from watching it.  Like that last LEGO DC  movie, LEGO Batman: The Movie – DC Super Heroes Unite.  It is aimed at a younger set.  I am a big Batman and DC Comics fan so I had to buy myself a copy.  Not just because it comes with a Lego Batzarro figure.  Did enjoy this movie much better than the last one.

This one much better than that last.  The story is pretty simple.  Which makes the comedy fit a lot better.  The story has Bizarro stealing a duplicater ray to make this own league.  So they can save his world from the bad guy.  Over all it wasn’t half bad.  All so it looks really good on Blu-ray.  On the Blu-ray (may be DVD as well) there is an extra video on there that gives more background and setup to this whole world.  Would recommend watching that first.  While it was a buy for me.  Would say it is well worth checking out.

Lego: DC Comics Super Heroes: Justice League vs Bizarro League

Just found out there is a new Lego DC comics animated movie coming out.   Back in 2013 LEGO Batman: The Movie – DC Super Heroes Unite was out.  Which was pretty good.  This new one has an even longer title, Lego DC Comics Super Heroes: Justice League vs Bizarro League.  The movie has the Justice League you may know teaming up with the Bizarro League.  Bizarro is like a backwards Superman who is not to smart.  From the trailer > here or below you can see all  the Justice League get there own Bizarro like counterpart.  They team up to take on Darkseid.  The movie is set to released February 10, 2015.  I will be getting a copy of sure.  Looks like a fun movie.

LEGO Batman: The Movie – DC Super Heroes Unite Review

A few days back picked up a DVD copy of LEGO Batman: The Movie – DC Super Heroes Unite.  Got around today to watching  it.  First off it looks great.  If you have every played any of the LEGO games it looks like that but much sharper.  Just like the games it is all about the comedy.  Not just what they say but in the background there is all ways something silly going on.  This movie is full of that.  While this movie is aim at the younger set I still enjoyed watching it.  Mostly because I am a Batman and DC fan.  The disc some with some nice extras.  It has a guy taking to some kids on how he makes stop motion with LEGO.  Then there are the winning entries from a LEGO DC Universe super hero video contest.  Watched them, they were pretty good.  There is all some bonus cartoons on there.  Didn’t watch those yet.  Think there are from the new Batman show, Batman the Brave and the Bold.  Another cool thing is if you buy the DVD or t he Blu-ray it comes with a Superman Mini LEGO figure.

Did enjoy watching this.  If you have kids, pretty sure they will love it.  How ever this is only a buy if you are a fan like myself.  This is a strong rent if you are looking for a light hearted take on the Superhero world.

LEGO Batman: The Movie – DC Super Heroes Unite

There is a new Batman movie coming out next week, May 21, 2013. It is called LEGO Batman: The Movie – DC Super Heroes Unite.  It is not a DC Universe Animated movie.  This movies is based of the two LEGO Batman games.  I am not sure but think this is the first time Traveller’s Tales or TT Games have made a animated movie.  If you watch  the trailer > here or below you will see it looks just like all the LEGO game TT is famous for.  I know it is aimed at kids.  However it does look very funny.  Even laughed at the jokes in the trailer.  Will be picking this up next week.  Another thing cool about this is, it comes with a Superman Mini LEGO figure.
