Batman: Bad Blood Review

This movie, Batman: Bad Blood is another awesome one in DC Universe Animated line up.   There is lots to like about this new movie.  First is it takes place in the same world as Son of Batman and Batman vs. Robin.  The second thing is there a lots of new characters.  Which are new to the animated movies.  One of this new characters is Batwoman.  She steals the show.  She has some great and funny lines while still kicking ass.  It was nice to see some comedy worked in.  As all way they manage to out do themselves with the action.  The fights could have been in a Hollywood blockbuster.   The best thing about the movies is since this in the same word as two others it can keep the storyline moving.  If it were standalone story think it would not as good.  That being said you don’t really have to see the other two.  It would help you understand the dynamic better.

Has you may know I am a huge Batman fan as well as this DC animated movies.  So you know I am going to enjoy them not matter what.  Over the years the have been some really awesome ones and some that were just ok.  This one fits in to the awesome list.  The story line is good for the most part.  The action is at its best.  They don’t hold back characters get really hurt or die.  Must have for any fan.

Batman: Bad Blood Trailer

About a month ago made a post talking about the next DC Universe Animated coming out is called Batman: Bad Blood.  Taking about it again because there is new info to share.  There is now a standalone trailer.  Which you can see > here or below.  It is pretty awesome looking.  The big news is were is a release date, February 2, 2016.  I like that fact that it takes place in the same world as Son of Batman and Batman vs. Robin movies.  As you may know I am a big fan of these DC animated movies.  So will be buy it day one for sure.

Batman: Bad Blood

The next DC Universe Animated coming out is called Batman: Bad Blood.  This takes place in the same world as Son of Batman and Batman vs. Robin.  The story as Batman missing.  So Nightwing takes over the role as Batman. While he and Robin try to find why.  They get help from two other characters we have not seen before in these animated movie.  The first is Batwoman.  The second is Batwing.  Don’t know much about this character.  So had to look it up.  He is new to the DC world starting off in 2011.  There is no official release date.  They are saying early 2016.  It goes with out saying.  I will be buying a copy.  The trailer was put with with in on of the DC All Access videos.  You can watch the whole video.  Or you can see it starting at the 1:17 mark > here or below. Am sure the trailer will be standalone at some point.

Batman vs Robin Review

Going to start off with saying this movie, Batman vs Robin is the best DC Universe Animated movie in a very long time.  Everything about it was great.  As all ways the animation is top notch.  The voice acting was much better than the last Batman and and Robin movie, Son of Batman.  They story has been the strongest in years.  It keep me interested all they way though.  The way they worked in the Court of Owls from The New 52 Batman comic book storyline was the best.  Have read those books so know the plot and how it unfolded.  In this movie they used all the pieces in their own way and it was awesome.

This is the best Batman animated movie in a very long time.  Most of the time once I finish watching one of this movies put it on my shelve.  Then may be re-watch it a year or more later.  This one how every want to watch it again right way.  Just might watch it with audio commentary on.  That is how good the movie is.  If I was talking to someone who not into these movies or comic books.  That may be interested in starting.   This is the one and and Batman: Under the Red Hood would be the ones to watch first.   A must own for any Batman fan.

Batman vs Robin

We are getting closer to April 14, 2015.  So the newest DC Universe Animated movie will be out.  Which is called Batman vs Robin.  This is a sequel to 2014’s Son of Batman.  Son of Batman wasn’t that great.  Have read one review of the new one saying it is  better.  I hope it is.  Do like the fact that they are making all this movies in the same universe.  Will be buying a copy and will be back with a review once I get to watch it.  If you missed the trailer you can see it > here.

Batman vs Robin

Not to long ago (January 27, 2015) Justice League: Throne of Atlantis come out.  The next DC Universe Animated movie will be Batman vs Robin.  Which is a sequel to 2014’s Son of Batman.   These three and Justice League: War take place in the same universe which is cool that they are doing that.  Before most of the movies before this were standalone.  This one will be out April 14, 2015.  While looking up info for this post found out there is all so going to be a deluxe edition or what the box reads limited edition gift set.  Which comes with a Batman figure.  Hoping this one will be better than Son of Batman.  Which wasn’t that great.  Time will tell.  I will be buying it any way.  You can see the trailer > here or below.

Son Of Batman Review

Was a bit let down by Son of Batman.  This is the newest DC Universe Animated movie out.  Enjoy collecting these movies.  Like all the others the animation is top notch.  So is the acting.  The story how ever not so great.  It felt like there were trying to hard to make the story happen in-between the great action scenes.  They tired to put a few bits of comedy in,  but that fell flat as well.  In a lot of Batman stories Alfred can be counted on having some funny one lines.  In this movie not so much.

Over all it’s not a bad movie.  Just not the best one they have put out.  The story arc is the biggest problem.  There is no big surprises or interesting twists.  These movies are made for DC/Batman fans so this one will not bring new people into the fold.  Did enjoy watching this but just not the best DC Universe movie

Son of Batman

Today is May 6, 2014 so that means the newest DC Universe Animated movie is out,  Son of Batman.  This one is based off the 2006 story arc called Batman and Son.  On  a side note do have a copy of that graphic novel and reading that now.  Have bought myself a copy of this movie but have not watched it yet.  Plan to on my day off.  So that is when my review will be out.  I know I say this every time one of these come out but I just love this movies.  Mind you some are better than others.  This one looks pretty sweet.  Am about more than halfway though the graphic novel and that is really good.  So the movie should be just as good.

Batman: Batman and Son

A few post back talked about the next DC Universe Animated, which is called Son of Batman.  Which is based of 2006 story arc called Batman and Son.  So I had to check out more on this since it sounded really good.  Found out there is a new version of of the trade paperback coming out February 4, 2014.  This new version is all most 200 pages longer.  Adding this book to my wish list.  There are so many of these trade paperbacks/graphic novels I want to get.  This is another for my list.  But before I get any new ones must finish reading the Batman: Knightfall series.

Then next DC Universe Animated, which is called Son of Batman  has a trailer out.  The movie before this, Justice League: War is not even out yet.  That is set to come out February 4, 2014.  Son of Batman does look very cool.  It has a storyline I has never heard of.  It is based of the 2006 story arc called Batman and Son.  You might guess from the title.  But Batman has a son.  Who was raised in secret by the League of Assassins.  The kid has a bit of some anger management problems.  You can check out the trailer > here or below.  Its set to come out some time in the spring.
