Wonder Woman: Bloodlines

The next DC Universe Animated Original movie is, Wonder Woman: Bloodlines which is part of the DC Animated Movie series.  From what I have read this is a prequel to Justice League: War.  Which came out in 2014.  From the trailer which you can see > here or below.  Looks like they are real tell the origin story of Wonder Woman again.  I hope not because that has been done so many times.   I could be wrong and the footage is just a recap.  Will find out for sure this fall.  Will be out on digital October 5, 2019 and the on discs October 22.  Will be getting a copy.

Batman: Hush

The next DC Universe Animated Original movie is Batman: Hush which is part of the DC Animated Movie series (This movies are in the same universe).  The movie shares the same name at the graphic novel it’s based off of.  I know I have read the novel ( think I might own a copy).  It is a must read.  They have used some of the plot points in past movies as well in the Arkham video games.  Very much looking forward to seeing how the turn it in a movie.  From the trailer > here or below.  It looks like there have changed a few things.  Most movies do that any way.  It is set to be out on digital platforms July, 20, 2019 then on disc August 13, 2019.  Will be getting a copy for sure.

DC Universe: 10th Anniversary Collection

Just found out about a cool Blu-ray box set coming out/out now.  It is DC Universe: 10th Anniversary Collection.  The set will contains all 30 movies and the five animated shorts in DC Universe Animated movie line.  It will feature all the bonus content, plus new features.  It will all so contain, commemorative extras and exclusive collectible.  Have all so read that this is a limited set.  They are only making 20,000 and each will be numbered.  It is available November 7, 2017.  Looked around to see now much it will cost.  Seen it going between $200 and $300.  Am sure it will be more here in Canada.  Think this is pretty cool.  But will not be getting one since I all ready own all this movies.  Think this is more for the die hard fans.  Or someone who wants to collect all the movies at once.  You can read the press release > here.

Batman: The Killing Joke Review

Just finished watching Batman: The Killing Joke.  This is the newest out DC Universe Animated movie.  Which is based off the very famous 1988 graphic novel of the same name.  Have read that story years ago.  Forgot most of it so it was nice to relive in animation form.  The movie starts off differently than the novel.  Its starts with more backstory with Batgirl and her relationship with Batman.  That part of the story was very nice addition.  After that’s over, the story picks up for the graphic novel starts.  From there is it pretty much exactly as the novel.

As all ways the animation is top notch.  The voice acting was even better.  Because it has the two best actors very to play Batman and The Joker, Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill.  The big take ways from this movie is the backstory of The Joker and the ending.  The way it ends is very different then you would think.  Had to go back and look at the novel to see if it ends the same way, it does.  Over all this is a great movie.  But not one of their best.  Still worth watching.

Justice League Dark

The tend continues.  Just before a new DC Universe Animated movie is set to come out.  They announce the next project.  On August 2, 2016 Batman: The Killing Joke was out on Blu-ray/DVD.  A few before they announce the next movie will be Justice League Dark.  This will be much different than other Justice League movies because it will focus on the Dark League.  This is a team of heroes that are more about supernatural and magic.  It will have Constantine, Zatanna, Deadman, Swamp Thing, Batman as well as many other.  There is no official date yet but they are saying Fall 2016.  There is a sneak peak video on YouTube > here.  Which will most like get pulled down.  So watch it before it goes.

Batman: The Killing Joke

Only a few more days to go before the next DC Universe Animated movie,  Batman: The Killing Joke, is out on Blu-ray/DVD.  Think it is one of the most anticipated movie they have made to date.  Mostly because it is based off the very famous graphic novel of the same name, 1988’s Batman: The Killing Joke.   Very much looking forward to watching  this.  Will picking up a copy of this on Blu-ray.  Then I will be back with a review.  You get it on VOD now or Blu-ray/DVD August 2, 2016.

Batman: The Killing Joke Trailer

Near the begin of April (2016) we learned that DC Universe Animated movies next project is Batman: The Killing Joke.  This of course is based off the famous graphic novel from 1988, Batman: The Killing Joke.  Have all ready made a post taking about this.  Talking about it again because there is a new trailer out.  Which you can see > here or below.  All ways say this about this movies.  But this one looks super awesome.  That fact that this has an R rating (which is a first) says a lot.  They will be able to hold true the original story.   So looking forward to watching this.  It will be out on VOD July 23.  Then on Blu-ray/DVD August 2, 2016.
