Rode VideoMicro

While looking into making regular YouTube videos.  Audio is the biggest hurled I think I have.  Been looking at microphones.  There are all kinds out there.  For the most part all the good ones cost lots of money.   Want to get a shotgun microphone.  This is the best option for the type of videos I would like to make.  The brand Rode are one of best out there.  Of course they cost lots of money.  The found out they make a smaller, more affordable one.  That is designed for DSLR cameras and phones.  It is called VideoMicro.  As I am typing this (March 17, 2017) Amazon.ca is asking $79.00.  That seems like a great prices.  But first I will have to looking into get a camera that it will hook up to.

Open Live Writer

Ever since I started blogging used Windows Live Writer. This program lets your write posts offline then upload them when ready.  Now that I have a new computer looked into installing.   Was very disappointed to find out it was now longer available to download (May be?).  The end support back in January (2017).  Thought I was out of luck.  Until is seen Open Live Writer.  Its basically the same program.  Just open source.  Every thing looks and works the same.  The best part it even found all my daft files with out telling were to find them.  It must use the same file structure.  So if you are new blogging or getting into.  This is a great program.  Click the link above to find out more.

Grand Theft Auto Online: Cunning Stunts Special Vehicle Circuit

Back in July Grand Theft Auto Online had an update called, Cunning Stunts.   They have now even more of that of type content.  Which is called Cunning Stunts Special Vehicle Circuit.  It gives you a rocket power cars.  It looks pretty crazy and fun.  All so, like other updates there is more to then that.  You can read all it has > here.  There is a video b > here or below.

Windows 10

Bought myself a new computer the other day.  I came with Window 10 Home edition.  The computer I had before this one run Vista.  So there is a big differences between the two.  Have used a bit of Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 so had  some idea what to expect.  When 10 first came out there was a lot of backlash.  That was back in 2015.  Since then there is a lot of help out there.  On what features to turn off and the like.

So far am liking it.  It may looks different but at the core it is still Windows.  It is not that hard to figure out or use.

AGPtek HD Video Capture Tested

Finely got to try out my AGPtek branded HD Video Capture.  Hooked it up to the Raspberry Pi 3, running RetroPi.  First tested on one of my favourite Sega Genesis games, True Lies.  The device works great.  Once I had the game up and running.  All you have to do is press the red button.  Played the game until I ran out of lives.  Which didn’t take very long because the game is very tough.  Recoded about eight minutes of video at full HD.  Making the file size a bit of 660 MBs.  That doesn’t seem to bad.  Plan to play a few more games then make a small test video.  Mixing all the game play together.

Nadia Ali – Rapture (Avicii Remix)

It is musical throwback Thursday once again.  This weeks song is an old favorite with a new twist.  Back in 2001 this song, Rapture, was released by the group iiO.  Then in 2011 the singer re-released the song under her name, Nadia Ali.  Off her album Queen of Clubs Trilogy.  The song holds up very well.  You can see the original > here.  Then check out the Avicii remix > here or below.

New Computer

Have been talking and thinking about it for awhile now.  So bought myself a new computer.  The one I am using now is about nine years old.  It still works great. It has Windows Vista.  Never had any problems with it.  The thing is Microsoft will stop supporting Vista in April this year (2017).  Google Chrome has stopped supporting it a long time ago.  A few days a go there was one last patch for Firefox.

So it was time far  a new one.  One of the models I have been eye balling was on sale at Best Buy.  I bought OMEN by HP – 870-119.  Have to say it is a very nice computer.  Very fast because there is a solid state drive as well as a regular hard drive.  My old computer has 3 GB of ram.  This one has 16.  For the most part have it setup the way I want.   Just have to move over all my files.  All so install the programs I like.  Now I will be able to try the ones my old compute couldn’t run.

Preacher Season Two News

More good news to share.  Season two of Preacher will start June 19, 2017.  The first season ran for ten episodes.  With season two there will be thirteen. The more the better.  Really liked the first season.  Wasn’t to sure at first.  But it sucked me right in.  So looking forward to see what crazy stuff will happen next.  If you haven’t seen the first season.  Do so you will not be disappointed.

Game of Thrones Season 7: Official Tease

Well, HBO made it official.  Game of Thrones season seven will start July 16, 2017.   Back in January (2017) made a post saying it might be starting in June.   Wasn’t to far off.  So looking forward to see what will happen next.  They are very good a making teaser trailers.  Much like ones they have done in the past.  It has voice over for famous lines from past seasons.  The video part is a very impressive GC of all the house sigils.  Give it a watch > here or below.  Now that we know when the new season starts.  It gives us time to re-watch season six.

Grand Theft Auto Online: New Modes And Stuff Coming

There doesn’t seem to be an end to new things coming to Grand Theft Auto Online.  Think this is awesome.  The more the better.  Most games that have been out as long as GTA V/Online they stop supporting it.  Think the reasons it still supported besides being a super fun game.  The game is still in the top five for sales list every month.  I still play online a few times or more a month.

According to the RockStar Games blog post > here, there is some new  stunt cars and tracks coming this March (2017) What makes them special is they are rocked powered.  There is all so some regular cars and new adversary modes.  The biggest news is.  There will be a huge new update coming this summer.  It will have to with gun running.  Sounds like it will be fun.  Will be back with an update when there is more news to share.
