Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands Review

Have really enjoyed playing Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands.   Not only did I finish it game 100% I even got all the Trophies.  Making it the first Platinum one I ever got.  Had to take a picture.  Which you can see below.  This generation Ubisoft has made some of my favourite games.  Own more games by them then any other publishers/developer.

Am a big fun of the open world games. With big maps, lots to side missions and things to collect.  This game as has all that and more.  The map is one of the best to this date.  Every province has its own look and feel. When moving from one to another it all blends nicely.  The best parts of the game is the collecting of weapons and parts.  You can add different parts to one.  That have their own stats.  You can even have different paint for each part.  What I like most about the game is moving around the world.  There are lots of different ground and flying vehicles that are fun to use.  Then there are all the upgrades.  Depending on your play style there are hard chooses to make on which ones to upgrade at first.  You really don’t need them all but fun to get them all the same.

This is one of the best games I have played.  Had some much fun playing single player.  But even more fun in co-op.  Like the game so much thinking about buying the DLC.  High recommend playing this game.  You can’t go wrong spending you money on this one.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands Hours Played

Posted in Just something to say with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , on May 15, 2017 by getbent57

It has been about over two months since I picked up a copy of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands.   Have played about 67 hours.  Around 30 of those were co-op with my brother.  Still not were near finishing the game.  Think I am around the 60% mark.  After all that time.  Still having fun.  Have said this is past posts talking about this game.  Plan to finish all the missions, get all the collectibles and unlock al the sill upgrades.  This very doable.  It will just take time.  If you thinking about getting a new game.  This is will worth the price and time.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands Challenges

Now that challenges are a part of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands.  I had to give it a try.  Ubisoft has done this type of thing in many of their games.  This one is a bit different because.  They are going to be running it in over four different season.  Each of those will be six weeks long.  Every week there will be different challenges to complete.  Then these challenges are broken into three categories.  There which can be in solo/co-op.  One in a Task Forces.  The last ones is for everyone playing the game.   When each one is complete.   It unlocks a reward.

Gave this a go to see how well it works.  Didn’t try the Task Force one because I am not a part of one.  The community one didn’t take very long to unlock because there is a whole of people playing the game right now.  The main goal was to finish the three challenges in solo mode.  They were pretty straight forward to do.  One using yout drone to mark some many things in a certain province.   When that’s done you can move onto the next.  Which has you marking a certain number Unidad soldiers with your binoculars from at lest 100m away.   The last ones you as you manually deactivating two drone jammers in the toughest province.  Did all that.  The reward it unlocks is a copper paint job for your weapons.  Have to say it looks very nice.  Not sure what the second week will bring.  But will be checking it out.

A few post back talked about the new free and paid DLC coming to Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands.  There was a big patch/update out on April 12, 2017.  Which was around 6GBs.  This fix a lot of things.  You can read the full patch notes > here.  The part I was looking forward to post is the free challenges.  That night went online to play with my brother.  But we couldn’t figure out how it worked.  Well that was because I read the info wrong.  The patch added the challenges but they don’t go live until April 18, 2017.  Am very interested to see how it works as well as what the rewards might be.   Will back with another update when I get to try it out.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands DLC

The first round of DLC for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands will be out soon.  Don’t think I will be buying it.  However it does sound good.  It is called Narco Road.  It ads 15 campaign mission, new side missions types, race challenges, four new vehicles types, four outfits and nine new weapons.  If you are a season pass owner.  You can download it April 18, 2017.  Everyone else on the 25th.  You can read the official bog post > here.

But wait there is now.  At the very bottom of the post.  There is some free stuff coming for everyone.  Which is pretty cool.  It, “will introduce live season challenges and new rewards to Wildlands. The first themed-season, “The Rise and Fall of Unidad,” will challenge players to target Unidad operations. The challenges for the first season will refresh every Wednesday for six weeks, and reward players with up to three unique rewards per week.”  This update is out on April 12, 2017 and then on PC the 14th.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands

Have been playing Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands for about a month now.  Think I have played around 36 hours and at level 23.  Most of these hours have been single player.  However have spent some time playing co-op with my brother.  Which makes it more fun.  We would try to be all stealthy.  Then one of us would screw up.  Then all hell would break loose.   Sometimes would die or the mission would fail.  But will would try again.  Having fun the whole time.

Knew this map is huge.  It didn’t really sink in at first.  Have 36 hours in and still know were half way though all the content.  My goal is to do all the mission, side missions as well as the collectibles.  This could take me 100 hours.  Am fine with that because the game is super fun.  Every were you go on the map it looks different from the last place you were.  Highly recommend this game.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands

Have about eighteen hours into  Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands.  Have played single player as well as some co-op.  The game works great both way.  However co-op is a lot more fun.  This games keeps surprising me with all the detail.  While playing co-op.  We were all over exploring the huge map.  Every part of the world was very different than the last.  Seeing the salt flats for the first time was pretty amazing.  The handling of the motorcycles and cars has improved a lot over the beta.   Pretty sure there will be patches on the way to make the game even better.  So far having a blast playing the game.  The gaol is to collect everything in the game and do every mission.   May takes months but that’s all right.

Picked up a copy of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands.  After playing the closed and open beta.  Was till on the fences about buying it.  Did have fun playing the game.  But then playing the open beta with my brother.  It made it a lot more fun.  This is one of the best features of the game.  You can play is single player as well as co-op.  It’s jump in, jump out is pretty slick.  The game was out March 7, 2017.

[Update] Played about five hours so far.  Must say the have made some improvements over the beta.  The motorcycles and vehicles hand much better.  The game all so looks better as well.  Played some co-op with my brother.  Spent hours just exploring the map.  It is huge.  Can’t wait to explore it all.
