The Walking Dead Season Two Blu-ray Review

Got around to finishing watching all the episodes and the extra on the Blu-ray of The Walking Dead season two.  Not going to review the show again since if you know me or read this blog from time to time you know I gave it a 5 out of 5.  Going to take about the Blu-ray box set itself.  All the episodes are there and look awesome.  Season two box set is much better than season one because there are so much more in the extra features.   There are five episodes with commentary.  There are all kinds of behind the scenes clips.  Some are not that interesting but there are others that are.  It was all so nice to see some deleted scenes.  Those have commentary as well.  Was neat to hear why those scenes were cut.   There is one that is best off them all.  It shows a different season two opening.  It takes place moments right after the first season ended.  It was good but you can see why it was cut.

If you can guess this show is a must watch and buy.  Now sit back and wait for season three.  Which is not far way.  Less than two weeks way, October 14, 2012 is the day.

The Walking Dead Season Two Blu-ray

Picked up a copy The Walking Dead season two on Blu-ray today.  It was a bit pricey but it was on sale at Wal-mart.  Saved just about $10 or a little less.  They have this sale on for the first three days of it release.  Looking at the back of the box, there are lot more special features than the first season Blu-ray.  There is all so commentaries on five of the episodes.  Wound of been nice if they at them on every episode but five is better than none.  Looking forward to sitting down and watching this 4 disc set.  Then wait for season three.

The Walking Dead Season 3 Trailer

A few days ago AMC at Comic-Con they put out the trailer for season three of The Walking Dead.  Holy crap, it looks so awesome.  There is so much win in the trailer.  Pretty sure this will be the best season yet.  It starts October 14, 2012 with 16 episodes.  Guess they will air the first 8 then in January/February air the next 8 episodes.  So check out the awesome trailer > here or below.

Oh don’t forget season two will be out on DVD/Blu-ray August 28, 2012.

The Walking Dead: The Complete Second Season

We don’t have to wait much longer for the complete second season of The Walking Dead to be out on DVD/Blu-ray.  Looking on Amazon and it says August 28, 2012.  Not to sure what or if there will be any special features.  I hope so, would like some behind the scenes or a small documentary.  Will just have to wait and see.  That should hold us over until season three starts some time in October.  Season three will have 16 episodes up three from season two.  Think I will pick up the Blu-ray version like I did for the first season.

The Walking Dead Season Two Review

Season two of The Walking Dead ended last night (March 19, 2012).  Knew it would be a good episode to end the season and it was.  One of the great things about this show is they answer the question they bring up.  They may leave you hanging for an episode or so but they all ways tell you what is going on.  They did answer a lot question but all so asked a few to keep us hanging to next season.

They introduce new cool character, with a sword and two zombies on chains.  It only a short clip but very cool.  After looking into who this is, the character is called Michonne.  She is a big player in the comic books.  At the very end you get a glimpse of were season three will take place, a prison.  This is all so a big set piece in the comics.

Really enjoyed season two.  It helped a lot they have more episodes to flush out the story and characters.  I know there are some people out there complaining there wasn’t enough zombie fighting scenes.  My take is if you put too much of that in it takes away from what the story really is, people trying to survive.  Look forward to season three which will have 16 episodes.  My guess it will start back up in October.

The Walking Dead: One Episode Left

There is only one episode left in season two of The Walking Dead.  Kind of sad that it will be over but I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen.  I know there will be a big cliff hanger for sure.  Making us wait for season three.  Have to say the second last episode, number 12 called Better Angles, was the best one yet.  Right from the opening shot I knew some great things were going to happen and boy did they ever happen.  They crammed so much win it will be hard to beat.  Not going to say any thing that went on just in case any one that is reading this hasn’t seen it yet.

All this season I did not look at any of the previews for the upcoming episodes or read any thing.  But last night I fell into a trap.  Was reading something unrelated on a news site on they right hand side they had a picture from the last episode.  It kind ruined one of the surprises I think.  How ever, one thing lead to another and ended up watching the preview.   It looks pretty awesome.   Sunday March 18, 2012 is the day.

The Walking Dead Season Two Part Two

It has been a long wait but the second half of season two of The Walking Dead is all most here.  February 12, 2012 is the day.  Was watching an interview with one of the actors the other day.  He said, he couldn’t say much but with the bit slower pace of the first half has put in place some good stuff that will happen next.  Of course I am sure there will be a huge cliff hanger at the end of the last episode.  Then we will have to wait all over again for season three.

The Walking Dead Update

Have some great news about The Walking Dead.   Was checking out IMDB there is an article about AMC shows.  Like season two they ordered 13 episodes.  How ever they have upped that to 16.   This is awesome news.  Not only there will be an season three but with more episodes.  Guess they are going to do the same thing the did with this season as they did with seasons two is break it up into two parts.  With 16 episodes that will make it more even before and after the break.

A reminder that the second half of seasons two starts up again February 12, 2012.  Six more awesome episodes to look forward to watching.

The Walking Dead Season Two: Mid Season Review

Episode seven of season two of The Walking Dead aired Sunday night (November 27, 2011).  So this marks the ending of the first half of the season.  The next six will start airing February 12, 2012.   I knew episode seven was going to end with a bang and boy did it ever.  This season has been so awesome so far.  It can only get better.  What I like most about this season so far is they get to let the characters grow.  If you have not seen these first bunch episodes you need to check them out.  Will buy buying this season comes out on Blu-ray and or DVD.

The Walking Dead Season Two Update

Have not talked about The Walking Dead in about a month so going to talk about it again.  Episode six of season two aired last night (November 21, 2011).  So that means there is one more before they take a break.  It kinds of sucks that we have to wait February 12, 2012 to see that last six episodes of the season.  That is over a two month wait.  Oh well, the show is so good it its wroth the wait.  So far this season as been awesome.  Having so many episodes compared the the first season they get to show more drama.  Let the characters grow.  I can see episode seven being a big one with a big blow up.  Something going to happen and leave us hanging, wanting more.
