Scott Pilgrim Anime Series

Have read there is a Scott Pilgrim Anime Series in the works for Netflix.  Which is cool but what’s cooler is all the actors from the movie, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, are coming back to do the voices.  Have bee re-reading the Scott Pilgrim’s Precious Little Boxset.  The show doesn’t have a title yet or a release date.  But will be keeping my eye on this project.  I’m not really into anime.  However will watch this.

Scott Pilgrim Boxset

It was last January (2022) was planning to re-read the Scott Pilgrim’s Precious Little Boxset.   Never got around to until now.  Started reading book one of six a few nights ago.  The first time I read  these was back in 2011.  Very much forget much of the story so I will be nice to re-visit.  After that might watch the movie, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, which is based off these books.

Scott Pilgrim Boxset

It was back in January (2011) that I got my hands on the Scott Pilgrim’s Precious Little Boxset.  Had pre-ordered that past November.  The reason was I enjoyed the movie , Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, a lot.  So, it has been ten years since I have read the six books in this boxset.  Thinking it is time to re-read them and then watch the movie.  From what I can remember the movie fallows the books closely.  All so thinking it would make for a good video for I’d Rather Watch Paint Dry channel.

Seconds by Bryan Lee O’Malley

A little over a week or so made a post talking about Bryan Lee O’Malley newest book Seconds.  Well a few days back was out at the mall and landed in the book store.  Seen that they had some copies so bought one.  I know it would have been cheaper to buy it off of Amazon.  But found that I still had a gift card with a little bit of money on it.  The book a very nice hardcover. It is in his Scott Pilgrim art style.  Haven’t started to read it yet.  But looking forward to reading this very interesting story.

Seconds by Bryan Lee O’Malley

Thinking about getting a copy of Bryan Lee O’Malley newest book Seconds.  He is most famous for the Scott Pilgrim books.  Which was turned into the movie Scott Pilgrim vs. The World in 2010.  Have all those books and the movie which are awesome.  His new one as a similar art style which came out this past summer.  Was going to buy it back then but it was sold out on Amazon.ca.  Think the next time I am placing a new order with Amazon will add this one to my list.  As I am typing this (October  19, 2014) they are $15.68.

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game

There is a summer sale going on now on the PSN.  One of the games on sale is Scott Pilgrim vs The World.  Am a big fan of the books and movie so decide I should think about buying it.  Since my free month of PSN+ has not run out yet it was only going to cost me $4.89.  Took a look in my PSN wallet and enough so I bought it.  The game is a side scrolling beat ‘em, like the old games from the Sega and NES days.  Well it is more detailed and up to date game play.  All so has RPG elements to it as well.  The look is based of the books.  Gave the first level a try.  Not sure if I like the game or not yet. It looks cool but it might be repetitive.  Will fine out.

Scott Pilgrim Boxset Review

Back in January I got my copy of the Scott Pilgrim’s Precious Little Boxset.  Well I finished reading book six last night.  Really like the books.  All so loved the movie.  They may share the same name but the movie pulls different parts from each book and may not be in the same order or way it was done in the books.  What I like about them the best is each one was different the last.  They were put out over six years the seemed to change in year.  Which is good because time pass in the books as well.

Really like these.  If you seen the movie you should check out the books and vice versa.  The boxset is the best choice since it is cheaper that way.  But I must confess that I liked the movie better.  Will have to watch it again.

Scott Pilgrim Boxset

Finely got Scott Pilgrim’s Precious Little Boxset yesterday.  Which I pre-ordered back in November.   Loved the movie, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World so much I had to check out the graphic novels which it is based on.  It was a very good deal.  Got free shipping and with tax it came to $49.99.  At the local bookstore they wanted $90.00 plus tax.  So it was well worth the wait.  If you are interested you can visit the Scott Pilgrim website to see what the the books look like.

Amazon Book Delay

Back in the on November 2 I pre-ordered  Scott Pilgrim’s Precious Little Boxset because I wanted to read the books after seeing the movie plus it was a good price.  It was delay so it as going to be out in the middle of the month.  Was fine with at.  Not it has been delayed two more times.  Now it might shipped to me some time in January 2011.   Not too happy was hoping have it before Christmas.  Not going cancel because it is a good deal.  If I would to buy it leas were it would cost $90.00 plus tax.  I got it for a bit over $50 with tax and shipped for free.
