RPG Maker MV – PlayStation 4

It was back in February (2020) that I learned that RPG Mark MV, is coming to the PlayStation 4.  Do own a older version on PC.  So this had me interested to see how well this will work on the PS4.  Back then read it would be out March 30, 2020.  That info was wrong.  Looked on Amazon.ca > here.  They have it coming out June 30, 2020 and asking $60.00.  Would like to try it out.  But think I will wait till I see some real world videos of people trying it.

RPG Maker MV – PlayStation 4

While looking up information on the RPG Maker that was on the original PlayStation.  Discovered something interesting the newest version, RPG Mark MV, is coming to the PlayStation 4.  Do own a copy of RPG Maker VX Ace on PC.   Only messed around with it for a bit.  The software is pretty cool what you can do with it.  From what I am reading this version will be on the PS4 on March 30, 2020.  Not sure how accurate the releases date is.  Will keep my eye on it.  Would like to get a copy.

RPG Maker MV

Have not looked at RPG Maker VX Ace in a very long time now.  Well have just learned that this weekend the newest version of the RPG Maker programs, RPG Maker MV, is free this weekend on Steam.  March 16th to the 19th (2018).  Thinking about give it a download and try.  If you like it they have it on sale as well.  This version has some pretty nice features.  Like being able to put your games for phones/tables as well for HTML 5.  You can check it out for yourself > here.

Game Character Hub

Back in November (2014) talked about the program Game Character Hub.  This program let you easily make and edit sprites so you can put into a game.  It works in hand with the RPG Maker products.  Have been eyeballing it ever since then.  The only place you can buy it is Steam > here.  The asking price is $17.00.  However a few days back it was on sale for less then $6.00.  So decided to buy it.

The program works great.  You can start off going though tutorials how it works.  When though the first one. Which is pretty straight forward.  Works much like an photo editing program.  Made a quick character.  Then imported into RPG Maker VX Ace.  Was very impressed.  If you are the art type you can make not only characters but all so all the titles used in the RPG Maker programs.

RPG Maker VX Ace

Near the end of last December (2014) had the the New Years goal of making a small game with RPG Maker VX Ace.  Well I have failed with that goal.  Have not touched the program in months.  It is not that big of of a deal.  Because I have spent my free time playing lots of great games.  With that being said.  Still plan to make one.   Many be by this time next year or sooner I will have one for people to try.  It is a very fun program to use.

There is a new version out now called RPG Maker MV.  This new version is pretty nice.  Have not tried since my computer will not run it.  It is bigger and better.  The biggest thing is it can run a lots of platforms.  The games you make can run on Windows, Mac, android, iOS and even HTML 5.  When even I upgrade to a new computer will look at getting a copy of this.

My Game

A few post back talked about my New Year’s goal is to make a game.  Well I have started working on it.  The first plan was to go all they way though a tutorial.  Which I started a while back.  Pick up were I left off but was a bit lost since I forgot just all about the stuff all ready done.  So decided to just start working on my game.  Then when I get stuck would look up some help.  The first big thing I wanted to learn is how to setup a quest.  One of the great things using RPG Maker VX Ace is there lots of help out there.  Found a good one > here.   Have read other but this one the guy takes his time and explains the process.  As I make more progress on the game plan to make more posts on how it is going.

New Year’s Goal

I don’t make New Year’s resolution.  How ever this year making a New Year’s goal.  Have made a few post in the past about making a game.  So my goal for 2015 is to have a complete game made and out for people to try.  Have a few ideas what the game I want to make.  The base idea is to have an exploration/adventure world with a little bit of combat.  Will be using RPG Maker VX Ace.  Started working on a tutorial back in October.  Might have to start over since I forget most of it.  Will be back with updates with the progress.

Game Character Hub

It has been awhile since I bought RPG Maker VX Ace.   Still haven’t got into it much.  But still plan to make a game with it.  Just need to find so more time.  While looking up different help and tutorials.  Found a link on rpgmaker.net to a program called Game Character Hub.  There is a retail version up on Steam.  Which you can check out > here.  They are asking $17.00.  How ever you can still (I think) download the beta version > here.  Have not tried it yet but it looks interesting.  The program let you easy make and edit sprites so you can put into a game.  I am no way an artiest so this will come in handy when its time to make characters for my game.  You can watch a video > here or below that explains how the program works.

RPG Maker VX Ace

Got around to trying out RPG Maker VX Ace this past weekend.  Have played around with RPG Maker XP.  Which they are both kind of the same VX Ace is much more streamed lined.  My goal is still to make a game but first need to learn how to use this program.  Found a great tutorial > here.  You can read it right on the website.  There is a download button but you have to sign up at the Scribd.com site.  How ever the user has posted a link to were you can download a PDF and a copy of the game you will make using the tutorial.   Have gone though the first 30 pages or so.  It is very helpful.  All so found another useful site rpgmaker.net.  There are lot of tutorials there as well along with lots of other stuff.

RPG Maker VX Ace

Back in August had a post taking about how I was using the trail version of RPG Maker XP to make a game.  The time is up that trail.  Was debating weather or not to buy it.  They are about $25.00.  The newest and better version RPG Maker VX Ace is going for $70.00.  Have good news this past weekend over at the Humble Bundle Store they had VX Ace on sale for $17.49 US.  Could not let this deal pass me by.  It was on sale for $17.49 US, so I bought.  In the end it only cost me $20.27 Cn.  Which is a very good deal.   It was a very easy process.  Signed up for an account at Humble Bundle.  Paid for the program with Pay Pal. Which only took second to process.  The thing was they sent me a link to program to work with Steam.  So had to sign up for that as well, then link Steam to Humble Bundle.  Then use the Steam to download it. Now that I have it I will have unlimited time to make a game.
