PlayStation Plus Membership Renewal

For many years now I renew my PlayStation Plus membership during PlayStation Days of Play event.  They have 25% off most years.  For some reason I never seen it advertised any were that they would be doing it this years (2021).  So logged on to the PlayStation Store just to see.  Turns out they are running the sale.  It goes from June 1 to 10, 2021.  For with the 25% off it comes to (rounding up) $53.00.  So after work I picked up a $50 PlayStation card.  Still have some money on my account.   Now my membership is good until June 2023.

PlayStation Plus Membership Sale

Over at the PlayStation Store they are running a big sale.  It runs from now and ends of March 29, 2019, called The Great Indoor Sale.  There are lots of good deals to be had.  The one that got me is they are have.  25% off a 12 month PlayStation Plus Membership.  Have been waiting for this to happen.  Mine is up in June.  So, I will renew it now.  It better to pay $52.99 then $70.00.  Have few dollars left in my wallet.  Just about a $50 gift card and I am good to go for another year.  You can see what’s on sale > here.

PlayStation Plus Membership Renewal

Back in September 2016 membership for a full year of PlayStation Plus here in Canada went up to $70.  Before that came it to effect renewed membership so I was good until June 2018.

The past few days PlayStation has been running a sale both in stores and online called Days of Play.  From June 9 to 17 they are all some great deals to be had.  One of them was PlayStation Plus going for it original price of $50 (on the PlayStation Store).  So I had to take advantage of that.  Which means I am good until June 2019 now.  If you are reading this today (June 12, 2017) there is still time get the deal for yourself.  It ends on the 16th.

PlayStation Plus October 2016 Game’s Line-up

October list of free games for PlayStation Plus members is now out.  There are some bigger games this time around.  There are all so some indies again.  Have to say this month is much better than most.  You can read the official blog post > here.   Should be able to download them October 4, 2016.

Resident Evil.  This is the HD remastered version of the PS1 classic.

Transformers: Devastation.  Have heard good things about this one.  Might give it a try.

Mad Riders.  This is an arcade ATV racing game.

From Dust.  One of those world building god games.

Vita

Code: Realize — Guardian of Rebirth.  Some kind of Japanese visual novel.

Actual Sunlight.  Says its an interactive story.  Sound interesting

PlayStation Plus Membership Price Increasing

If you are a PlayStation Plus member you most likely know by now that the price is going up.  By a lot starting September 22, 2016.  They posted a statement > here.  You all would have received an email as well.   Start on that date a years membership will be $70 (Canadian money).   That is up from $50.

To get around this bought a new one year card. Added that to my account.  Which extends my membership by another year.  So that way  I will not have to worry about it until 2018.  I know this price increase has pissed off a lot of people.  Can see a lot of them not renewing.   If you are one of them make sure you have auto renewal in your account settings.

PlayStation Plus September 2016 Game’s Line-up

Septembers list of free games for PlayStation Plus members is now out.   There is a few smaller games with cross buy.  Which is good.  Then there a few bigger games as well as a critically acclaimed  one.   You can read the official blog post > here.   These games will be downloadable September 6, 2016.

Journey.  This was first one PS3 back in 2012.  Received a lot of rewards that year.  Heard lots of great things about it.

Lords of the Fallen.  Looks like of of those Dark Souls type game.

Badland.   This is a side-scroller platformer.  Similar to Limbo.

PS3

Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands.  The 2010 version of the game.

Datura.  A very interesting first person exploration/adventure game.

Amnesia: Memories.  From what I have read it is a Japanese visual novel.

PlayStation Plus Subscription Price Increasing

Have just read some very bad news.  Which has me pissed off.  The price of the PlayStation Plus membership is increasing by a lot.  Am very aware the prices are all ways going up.  However the price increase for a years membership is crazy.  Starting September 22, 2016 a years membership will be $70 (Canadian money).  That is a twenty dollar increase.  Which is ridicules.  The other plans are going up as well.  The three month plan will be $30, used to be $18.  The one month plan will be $12, used to be $10.

Of course they put a stupid statement, “The new pricing reflects the current market conditions while enabling us to continue providing exceptional value to our members.”   You can read the full post > here.  Am not very happy about this.  Pretty sure there will be a lot of people will not be renewing there membership.

Am thinking I might just buy another years membership while it is sill $50 and just had it to my account.  That way I will not have to worry about it again until 2018.

PlayStation Plus August 2016 Game’s Line-up

It is a new month so that means there is a new game line for PlayStation Plus members.  August list looks pretty interesting.  Because with No Man’s Sky coming out this month they have a space game in the list for PS4 used called Rebel Galaxy.  Sure are nothing alike but have similar elements.  You can read the official blog post > here.   Should be able to download this games August 2, 2016.

Tricky Towers.  Looks like a  physics based Tetris game with multiplayer.

Rebel Galaxy.  Space combat and trading game.  Looks interesting

Ultratron. Twin stick built hell type game.  Cross buy with PS3 and Vita

Yakuza 5.  Never played any of these Yakuza game.  They all looked fun now I can give one a go.

Retro/Grade. Rhythm game mixed with a space shooter.

PlayStation Plus July 2016 Game’s Line-up

It is July(2016) so there are new list of free games for PlayStation Plus members.  Every month now there seems to be at lest one AAA or AA game for each system plus a smaller indie one.  You can read the official blog post > here.  Should be able to download them July 5, 2016.  Which is the first Tuesday of the month.

Saints Row: Gat out of Hell.  This is a standalone expansion or Saints Row IV.  Will be downloading this one for sure.

Furi.   A trippy looking game were you only play boss fights.

Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood.  I do own a copy of this game.  It is pretty fun. There are two campaigns to play though.

Fat Princess.  A real time strategy game.  Players keep the princess fat so the other team can’t carry her way.

Vita

Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines.  A very Japanese role playing game.

Prince of Persia: Revelation.  This is a port of Price of Persia: Warrior With In for the PSP

PlayStation Plus Renewal

A few days back while play a game. Receive a pop notice from PlayStation, saying PlayStation Plus membership would be up in seven days. Unlike last year when I wait to the last minute. This time picked up a new card the next day at work. You can buy these cards pretty much any were now. I know $50 seems like a lot but it covers a full year. The perks it gives is well worth the money. This past year there has been may awesome games free for members.
