Need For Speed: Most Wanted For PC

Only picked up one game during Steams Winter sale.  That was Need for Speed: Most Wanted – A Criterion Game.  I do own of copy of this game for my PS3.  Which I bought back in 2013.  Remember liking it a lot.  This Steam version came to $7.75 with tax and I still had some money left in my account so couldn’t past the deal up.  Download the game but haven’t tried it yet.  You all so need to have or setup an EA account to play it.

Need For Speed High Stakes – Free Play Day

In this weeks video for the YouTube Channel, I’d Rather Watch Paint Dry.  Have a Free Play Day video.  Where I take on three races in Need For Speed High Stakes. The racing game is my favourite from the PlayStation days. While I never got very far in the game. Would play the tracks I knew I could win. Save the money any buy another car. Need For Speed: Most Wanted

Have put about nine hours into Need for Speed: Most Wanted – A Criterion Game.  It is a very fun game.  It is not like most racing games.  It does feel a bit Burnout Paradise, but better.  What makes this game different it is you don’t have to unlock all the cars.  So you do but the rest you get by just finding them on the map.  Then you can drive them.  Each car has a set a races that go with it.  The races are listed easy medium and hard.  You as you do these races or just driving around the world you get points.  These points unlock the next race in the most wanted list.  These are the cars you have to win the races then takeout to be able to drive them.   Have not tried the online mode yet.  But will soon.  So far very happy with the game.

Need For Speed: Most Wanted

Got my hands on a copy of Need for Speed: Most Wanted – A Criterion Game.  This is one of the games I wanted to get that was on my list.  Every now and again I would do into Wal-Mart to see what games were there.  Would see this one and they were asking $70.  Said to myself I am not playing that, will wait till it is on sale.  Forgot about this game.  Ended up buying other games.  Well today I was over there picking up a few things.  Decided to take a look and see what they had.  It was finely on sale.   Wasn’t going to buy it at first because there are to big games coming out soon that I want, Saints Row IV and GTA V.  Took a closer look it was the only copy left.  It was $29.83.  So I said f*ck it I’ll buy it.  About to give it a try now.  Played the demo back in November 2012 and enjoyed that so the full game should great.

Need For Speed: Most Wanted Demo

Gave the demo a try for Need for Speed: Most Wanted – A Criterion Game a try.  Have not been a fan of the Need for Speed games for years.  But now that Criterion has taken over the franchise it has to help.  Enjoyed the demo very much.  It was the most exciting demo I have very tired.  All the cars, the environments, sound track and the announcers voice pull you in.  But after a new minutes it looks all very familiar.  If you have played Burnout Paradise it is pretty much the same.  Of course with a new coat of paint and tweaks.  This is not a bad thing since that game was awesome.  I am pretty sure if it didn’t have the Need for Speed title it would have been called Burnout Paradise 2 or something like that.  Strongly thinking about picking this up at some point.  Highly recommend giving the demo a try.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Demo

Gave the demo a try for Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit.  This brings back what NFS was like back then they first started coming out with these games.  Well of course it is updated.  This one was made buy Criterion Games.  The same people that made of of my favourite  games, Burnout Paradise.

Going to come out and say it.  The demo is a bit of a let down.  Will get the good things out of the way first.  The game looks awesome.  The cars look awesome.  I like how they give some background on the car you pick.  Plus the lady that reads it to you is nice.  Now for the “bad”.  They give you to races to pick from.  Which is pretty standard for a demo.  Here is the kicker you can only play one of them.  The other is unlocked when some one on your friends list plays the game.  Well that’s great if you have someone on your list that as played it.   The other let down is what I call “racing game wall riding”.   If you have every played a racing game you know what that is.    It is when you try to make a turn and end up riding the wall or edge of the track.  When you try to stop it you end up crashing into the other wall on the other side.  Ping pong back and forth until you crash and the end of in last place.   I am sure with practise I will get better.  But with only one race to pick and two cars I can’t see myself getting much practise in.

The game will be out November 16, 2010.

Need For Speed World Beta

Well I got into the beta for Need For Speed World.  This is a new online multiplayer racing game.  All so it is free to play. They will make money off the microtransactions like they do in their other online games.  I gave it a try.  It looks really good and plays like any other Need For Speed game.  There are some bugs but it is a beta after all.  I only got to race one race because for some reason it wouldn’t let me race any more.

The game surprised me with the level of customization.   It has a lot of features of a full game you buy.  It all so let lets you upgrade just like RPG’s.  This is cool.  I’ll give it any other try and see how it goes.   I think once this game is open to all it will be really good and fun.
