Have re-watched Superman/Doomsday today. This is the first direct to DVD by DC Universe Animated original movies. Saw this when it first came out back in 2007. But never owned the DVD. Until a few weeks ago when I seen it in a bin at Wal-mart for $5. Have all the rest of the DC Universe movies. All ways tried to get them the day the come out or a few days after because I am a fan of these movies. There are 15 to date. With the newest one coming out January 29, 2013, Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 2.
For being about six years out this movie holds up pretty good. The story is very good. It tells the death and return of Superman. This was a very big thing when it happened in the comic books. I remember seeing it on the news back in the yearly nineteen’s . I am more of a Batman fan. But this is a good watch. Plus there is a nice documentary on the disc called Requiem and Rebirth: Superman Lives!. It tells the story how the came up with the idea to kill Superman and how it effected the real world. Very interesting watch.
