Game of Thrones: Blu-ray Review

Finished watching all the extras on the Game of Thrones Blu-ray last night.  So it time now for a review.  If you follow this blog you know I am a big fan and this Blu-ray didn’t disappoint.  The show looks so awesome in HiDef.  You can see so much detail.  All most all the episodes have a commentary track.  For the first time in any movie/show that has them I when back to each episode and watched again with the commentary on.  Expect one because the kids were talking.  It started to bug me when they went on about how great it was to work with that person and this person.  Any who, did learn a few things about the show listening to the commentary.  Like how the changed some things from the books, added new scenes because they wanted some characters to interact.  All so how the changed some characters plot path.

The only things that I was a bit disappointed in was the behind the scenes feature.  Didn’t show anything cool.  Over all this is a must buy.  One more day till season two starts (April 1, 2012).  Can’t wait to see what happens next.  If you have not seen this show go out and buy/rent now.

Game of Thrones: Blu-ray Update

Just finished watching the fifth episode of Game of Thrones on Blu-ray.  Have to say the show is even better on Blu-ray.  Love this show much after watching the first two episodes I went back and watched them again with the commentary on.  Don’t often do that because I find it boring.  But not with this show.  Did skip the commentary on episode three because it was three of the kids talking.   They kept going on about how that actor was great, oh I just lover her in this scene and what not.  So I shut that off.   Not all the episodes have commentary but if they I will go back and watch/listen again.   All the cool extras are on the last disc.  Looking forward to watching them as well.   Will put up a full review when I am done watching everything.  But you call all ready guess what I am going to score it.

Game of Thrones: Blu-ray

Picked up a copy of the Blu-ray version of the complete first season of Game of Thrones today (March 6, 2012).  Love this show I knew I was going to buy the Blu-ray but at first I was going to wait because I was thinking about taking part in the protest internet thing Black March.  But after seeing that the movie Project X made over 20 million this past weekend.  So I gave up thinking about taking part.  All so Wal-mart had a deal going on if you buy it with in the first two or three days and you save $15 off the full price.  So I had to get it.  Will put up a review at some point then I get though all the shows and extras.

Game of Thrones

Once again talking about Game of Thrones.  Been reading the first book and really enjoying it.  While I was reading then thinking about the show.  The show follows the book very closely.  Even using the same dialog.  Not many movies or shows do this so it is great to see.  Season two of the show starts in April 2012.  Hoping to have the first book read by then because I do believe the second season based off of the second book.  Not hundred percent sure on that though.

On they official Game of Thrones YouTube channel they have all kinds of season two production dairy videos.  Which is pretty cool.  There is a video (posted below) that is a wrap up trailer of season one that is awesome.  This is a good video to show any one what and how great the show is.   Remember season one is out on Blu-ray and DVD March 6, 2012.  Then season two starts  April 2012.

Game of Thrones: The Complete First Season

Yesterday after talking about getting the Game of Thrones books for Christmas.  I had too see then the DVD and or Blu-ray were going out for the first season.  All so when the new season was going to start.  Well the first season will be out March 6, 2012.  Will be picking that up for sure.  Season two will start some time in April 2012.  So that is not too far away.  Read the first two chapters of the first book.  Have to say the show is pretty spot on.

Game Of Thrones

Have been hearing all kinds of good things about the show Game of Thrones.  Got to check out the first episode.  And man this is an awesome and I have only seen the first one of ten.  Being any HBO show they don’t tone things down.  The first episode is a thousand times better than most movies.  It looks great, the acting is awesome, story is awesome as well.  Mixed with lots of blood shed, boobs with a sprinkle on incest thrown in.  Look forward to checking the then all out.  Not sure when the DVD box set will be out.  I think it will be a buy.
