Grand Theft Auto: 3 – The Definitive Edition

Am about half way thought the story in GTA 3 part of the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition.  Really like that they add modern controls and some other features to the game.  Does make it much better to play.  As for the game kind forgot about all the time limit missions.  Some are not too bad.  Others are a really pain.  So far only had to look up how-to for two missions.  As much I as like this game, once I finish the story am going to move on to the next game.   Don’t plan to do all the side stuff right now, may be at a later date.

Claude 3D Model Update

A few posts back talked about a Claude 3D model > here from Thingiverse.  Printed off a scaled down version to see how it would turn out with the supports.  Was happy to see it turned out great.  So scaled it up and printed that version.  Being bigger you can see more detail.  My plan now is to paint it.  That will be easy until it comes time to paint his face.  Need to get my hands on some flesh colour paint.

Claude 3D File

A few posts back talked about playing GTA 3 from the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition.  Got thinking if there was any 3D printable files out there for this game.  Did a search on Thingiverse and was happy to see there was a Claude model > here.  He is the the voiceless guy you play in that game.  Wasn’t sure if it would print ok.  So scaled it down by 50% just to test my setting.  If it turns out ok will make a bigger version.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition

Have had my copy the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition sitting on the shelf unopened for many months now.   Decided to take a break from The Division 2.  Then got thinking what should I play next.  So went with GTA 3 from the definitive edition.  Installed all the games.  The plan is to play the in order.  Played so much of these games back in the PS2 days.  When the game loaded up it was like seeing any old friend.  Did three missions.  Then went after all the hidden packages that are in the first part of the map.  There are some great videos showing were they are.  Speaking of the map I remember it being much bigger.

GTA Vice City – Crash, Smash & Dash – Remake?

Now that I have a copy of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition on it’s way.  Got thinking maybe I should remake an old video which I did in the early 2000’s.   Back in 2006 put on YouTube and called it GTA Vice City – Crash, Smash & Dash.  You can check it out > here.  Last summer when going though some old backups hoping to find the original footage.  Didn’t have any luck.  So thinking it might be fun to try and recapture some of the same scenes.  Sure I will have to use as new soundtrack. But that’s no big deal.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition Ordered

Said to myself before Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition was first out I would buy it when it got cheaper.   Then when it did come out it had lots of bugs and problems.  So said, “I’ll wait it it’s patched”.  Well both those things happened.  Seen an ad for it on Best Buy but it was going for the same price on Amazon.ca.  Which I have a $25.00 gift card for so ordered off there.  It should be hear some time this coming week.  Not sure if I will play it right way because I am have still having a good time with Cyberpunk 2077.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition Tried

Have been on the fence about getting a copy of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition on disc for my PS4.  Well a few days ago got to try out GTA 3 on a PC.  Just ran around a bit to try out the controls.  This was what I was most concerned about.  Was happy to find that they were really good.  So now I will be getting myself a copy.  Will be a Christmas present to myself.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition Physical Copies Delayed

Once again talking about Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition.  This time because the physical copies of the game have been delayed.  The original were to be out this week on December 7, 2021.  The delay is only a short one.  Only ten days.  So it will be out on December 17, 2021 now.  Am thinking his is because last week the put out a patch for all the games that fixed a 100 bugs.  Am still planning on getting a copy of the game.  When that happens I hope they have fixed it more.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition News

As I am typing this the digital versions of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition hasn’t been out two weeks let.  As  soon as it was announced the internet had their pitch forks out.  Then every day after as well.  I can see some of their complaints being very valid.  That being said in this day and age people go too far.  It’s pretty sad  that a company has to put out a post asking people to be nice.  In their blog post > here.  they say the are working on fixing the game.  All so, “it pains us to mention that we are hearing reports of members of the development teams being harassed on social media. We would kindly ask our community to please maintain a respectful and civil discourse around this release as we work through these issues.”  Am pretty sure with in the next week or two there will be a patch/s.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition

Now that Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is out (well on digital).  Watched some gameplay from all three games running on a PS5.  I must say the games do look good.  The draw distance and much better lighting makes it look like a newish game.  The main thing I want to know is did they really fix the controls.  Turns out they did.  The driving is so much better using the triggers.  They all so fixed up the weapons.  One guy said something like it not as good as GTA 5 but much better than the original versions of the games.  So, very much leaning towards getting a PS4 copy on disc on December 7, 2021.
